It is a complete waste of time. I have never had difficulty landing transcription jobs and in fact, have been recruited by companies. Many, many experienced MTs have had the same experience. I prefer to spend my resources (i.e. time and energy) on doing the best job I can for the MTSO I work for and avoiding the infighting and nonsense. Truly, the AAMT of the 90s was like a group of sorority sisters or something. Sure, the queen bee director made her 40K or whatever a year plus perks, but what did she ever do for anyone outside her inner circle except sell us out to offshoring?
