Ditto, Keystrokes is a wonderful company with wonderful people! I love working for Keystrokes!
I am just not making enough money.  They are a great company though, just ask for a back up account.
I agree also. Keystrokes is a wonderful company with very, very nice and helpful people. I would
like much more work, at least 12,000 lines each pay period.
I work on an ortho account. Keystrokes is just wonderful! They will help you in every way possible
and seem to really care about each person.  They have been very good to me and I am very thankful to have a job with such a great company!
Keystrokes...wish I had plenty of work...sm

Keystrokes has great ortho accounts and a wonderful manager over the ortho work. sm
I have worked with them for 4 years and will never leave unless something drastically changes. I do not post here normally as it seems that there are so many negative people, but this is one I felt I could answer without being attacked.
Keystrokes has the best radiology accounts IMO. I have plenty of work and radiology only. nm
I make a good living and rarely run out of work. When I do, it is for a few minutes at a time and usually because the rads have not started early enough. No other complaints!
They are wonderful! Pay on time, work always available, wonderful
people
Has been a wonderful experience for me. SM

The attitude and support I have received there have been great.  The QA is strict but very helpful, and it is actually a pleasure to work for them. The manager is a truly good person, hard to find in this field.

You bet Keystrokes is WONDERFUL! sm
They are great to work for, no VR and they appreciate you. The only folks who really WANT to do VR are the ones who are no good at transcribing. Problem is they aren't very good at VR either. There are plenty of really good MTs doing VR who don't want to be and should be.
Ditto.....Keystrokes has been nothing but wonderful to me...(sm)
I have TOO much work sometimes.  My account is very high volume and I have a backup in case my main account runs out of work..which it NEVER has.  They have always been fair and are flexible with scheduling.
Keystrokes is wonderful, just be aware that
they DO NOT like MTs doing things they way THEY want to, I have read other posts by you, and feel that your attitude will not be welcomed by a company like KS.  They like MTs to follow the account guidelines, NOT making up their own rules as they go.  Those MTs should become IC if that's how they wanna work.  Maybe try Transcend, they may be more receptive to your frame of mind??
If you have plenty of experience and don't need...
any help, they are fine.  They don't have any QA.  You are pretty much on your own.  Do your work on time, and do it well, and you'll be okay.
To Tasha

So can you explain why it is that some radiology transcriptionists have plenty of work but some of us are sitting around with nothing to do?  I've been doing this kind of work a long time, I can type rad in my sleep, but my biggest day this pay period was a lousy 175 lines.  Why do you think that's not believable?  I think it's great that your experience has been so positive, and I completely expected great things from Keystrokes, but what they've given me ain't paying the bills.  How many times and how many different ways do I need to ask for work before I get it?

Excuse me, but I have plenty of experience---

23 years to be exact, very well seasoned in every specialty you can imagine.  How rude you are to insinuate such a thing.  I don't need MDI as I already have another job.  I was just looking for something extra and have found an additional account elsewhere.

Some remarks should just be kept to yourself!!!!!!!!

Three years is plenty of experience....no one is just...sm
giving her a chance. So ridiculous. Three years is only considered not enough experience so that companies can get away with the crap wages they pay because they consider you a newbie.
right now plenty of work, also plenty of ESLs.nm
nm
Plenty of BOTH on my end, I do traditional have plenty of work, always
nm
Yes, I agree ... this is the most wonderful place ...
I never thought that I could find an MT company out here as wonderful as MDI.  It definitely is my long-term home.
I don't agree. Plenty of hospitals aruond here have
holiday pay and the major transcription company I just let also had holiday pay.
I did some overflow work for Landmark.. they are wonderful to work for.. very nice people.. pay was
.
I feel the same way...I love working for Keystrokes and feel blessed that I have such a wonderful jo
nm
Keystrokes is wonderful!! They are the nicest people and care 150% about their people!!
Excellent company!!!!
Wonderful to work for
MDI is great!  They have a large variety of WT from acute care to clinic to private.  I cannot speak for others regarding line rate, but I started at 9.5 cpl 2 years ago. There has always been plenty of work for me and I am sure that is the case all around.  The owner, team leaders, and operations are the best people I have ever worked for or with, and I have been in this profession for over 30 years.
TSSC is a wonderful co to work for for ICs. sm

Guess it just didn't work out for the poster above.

I work for KS. Its a wonderful place

to work.  You are treated well, they listen to your concerns, pay is on time.  If for whatever reason, you don't like your account, just ask for another one.  If your good, they want to please you so you will stay with them.   It's in the top two on my list.  Spheris, oh no.   You have to get used to taking tests for these companies, that's just the way it is.  Test and wait, test and wait.    Good luck.

Yes they do send work overseas and do not hide this fact. There is plenty of work and they do pay
well. Overall, I like having work as I have been at places where you had to fight to keep busy so this works for me.
TransTech is a wonderful place to work
x
I work for SmartScripts and they are a wonderful company.
Plenty of work and pay is always on time.
No experience with Keystrokes, but SM
a veteran MT should be able to handle it.
My experience is that Keystrokes sm
pays me for everything on the page whether I typed it, pulled it up in a macro, expander, whatever. They pay for it all. But, all accounts are different and not all are on the same platform so I can only speak for myself.
Do you work evenings or nights? If so TT has plenty of work
It is not that TT has no work, it is that everybody wants banker's hours. What do you expect?
I would go with Keystrokes, had a good experience
with them, I left for my own reasons, nothing to do with them at all, they were great. Above poster is right, stay away from Landmark, I had the same experience with them.
Experience requirement for Keystrokes

I am just a few months shy of 3 years experience.  Does anyone know if it is worth it for me to apply?

Plenty of work

OSI has plenty of work to go around...
...but since hurricane katrina hit, things have been kind of slow. I think they have a big account in Louisiana that got hit pretty hard and it shut down. Since then they have had to move MTs from that account to other accounts. I've been running a little low on work too (just every now and then), but I like OSi so I'm willing to stick it out. I'm sure everything will get back up to speed soon.
Plenty of work...sm
I don't generally post on companies I worked for because in the long run it doesn't seem like opinions matter, for some it may suck and for others it is great.  I worked for them for a couple of years and had to leave due to needing insurance.  There was always plenty of work and if you are a hard worker, you'll make money, get paid on time, etc.  The accounts were incredibly stable and extremely easy compared to acute care.
P.S.. you have plenty of work?
nm
Plenty of work at MDI

Hi Freebird,  I was just passing through and saw your note.

I have been with MDI-MD for a little over a year now.  The only slowdown I have ever experienced was around Christmas and New Year's.  Right now there is plenty of work on all of the hospitals that I cover.

I have been in this business for a long time, am a former MQer, and I just love this company.  The work is not for newbie's, but if you are an experienced acute care Transcriptionist you will have no problems.  The staff at MDI-MD are professional and gracious, the platform is the best I have ever worked with, the pay is great and always on time, and the flexibility is wonderful. I wish you luck!

I do all Ops and there is plenty work available for anyone who wants just
Ops and is good at them.
I have plenty of work.
Have you tried asking for another account?
Plenty of work

Good line rate with incentive pay and shift differential.  Good benefits.  Sick time, PTO, plenty of work.  I'm happy.  Normals are right in their platform, which is handy and helps production.

Anyone else care to chime in?

I have plenty of work
x
Plenty of work.
I have plenty of work at both places I work, just would like more money. :-)
there's plenty of work to go around....
TRS does manage a group in Guyana, but they make up a TINY portion of the total reports. NO jobs have been lost in the US to employees in other countries either. There is plenty of work available and the recruiter works constantly to find qualified MT's here in the US! Why is going offshore a bad thing if it doesn't affect the workload or TRS employees in the US??
Is there plenty of work. nm

Plenty of work
No, there is plenty of work. But it looks as though workflow is caught up and under good control.  There is no mandatory OT, it is just optional now.
Plenty of work here.
If my primary is out, I have plenty of secondary accounts. They are always looking for people who are willing to have multiple secondaries. It's been my experience that the more accounts you know how to do, the less you run out of work. That's why I don't mind learning new accounts or work types.
Which of these have plenty of work RIGHT NOW?
Email me if you prefer.
Plenty of work here
One huge account.  I make myself available for backup for anything and nope, I am not listing my company name
Oh well there is always plenty of work
/
SURE, THERE IS PLENTY OF WORK
On the accounts that are always backed up because they are extremely crappy accounts. You can have all of that you want, BUT, I promise you - it brings your lines per hour average WAY DOWN and not worth it. The account specifics are horrendous!!!!

As the earlier poster stated - No work at WebMedx because they OVERHIRED!!!!
