The Warminster office is now part of the NE Region. Unsure if Warminster will be
staying open. All the accounts have been switched to Amherst, NY. Hard to know who to deal with since the office manager has not been replaced so not the best.
Nice one day, turns on you the next. I guess the MTs who
never talked to or know the owner are the lucky ones. She comes on as being so very helpful, promising you what sound too good to be true, and guess what? It is.
Well, I guess I got lied to by the recruiter then. Nice.
nm
How nice you leave it all for the rest of us to do. I guess sm
you're the only one with friends or family.
I guess it does not matter how nice someone is, if you can't produce due to disorganization, huh?

I am just really nervous.  The company I have been with for over a year does not offer benefits and it is really scary to go switching jobs for benefits.  I do have a family and need benefits.  But I would rather be certain in my accounts and my company that I am work then to take a huge leap of faith, get a job where you cannot meet production due to whatever reasons and then be out of money, job, etc.  This is a scary field to switch jobs in.  Thanks for all info!  I appreciate it!  You may have just saved me from making a huge mistake.

That's kind of scary. Rose was very nice to me, but then I guess sm

everyone is when they are trying to get you to take a job.  The pay seemed decent for being an employee, but if the line counting method cannot be trusted, then I'm not sure that is so great either.  And I'm a bit nervous about not having direct deposit.  I have heard the check is in the mail story before ... ugh.

Thanks to everyone for your input.  It certainly gives me something to think about.

I guess I can use this info about now!
Just started VR a few days ago.  I am totally disgusted and depressed.  I feel like I am being abused (because I am).  Half pay for VR is ridiculous.  It is bad enough these companies don't give raises, but now have this dumped on us.  I am very experienced (over 20 years), type as fast as anybody, but I know from just a few days of doing VR that I have to go and look for another job again.  I am so depressed because I really loved by company until this week. It does not take me 1/2 the time to do VR, maybe 3/4 of the time it would to transcribe, sometimes as much or more than it would take to transcribe from scratch. I don't know where these companies got the idea that 50% of our line rate was fair.  I feel totally ripped off and frustrated.  I have enough stress in my life, didn't need my paycheck to drop drastically too.
BT, more SS info (OT I guess)

I would suggest carefully evaluating your situation.  SS has a site on the internet and/or you can go in to their office.  Some of the people in the SS offices are very intelligent and helpful, others are dumber than gourds.

When I did my calculations I came up with at full retirement age I would get right around $1800/mo.  Early retirement it would drop to around $1200/mo.  My husband is a retired Teamster (union) and his retirement is around  $4000/mo plus his SS of $1200 (he took it as early as possible too) and my SS is also $1200.  If I continued to work, even with the allowed income before the 1 out of 2 $ penalty, we would be paying taxes on 85% of our SS income.  Since I quit working the percentage we pay has gone down some...I leave that up to our CPA to advise us.  We both have taxes taken out of our SS as well as his retirement so we usually don't have to end up paying any taxes other than state at the end of the year.

I also earn income but I have a sole proprietor business so that my income is offset by deductions, which means I don't pay taxes (legitimately) on it.  You might be surprised at the deductions you can take as a business, which isn't that hard  and not expensive to set up, the same as the biggest corporation.  We deduct travel expenses, which is entirely legal so long as you do something related to your business during your travel.  This isn't hard either.

Every one is different.  Our farm is free and clear as are our vehicles and we have no payments of any kind other than insurances, property taxes and utilities, so there is no reason for me to work if I don't want to.  Retirement was hard at first after going to work for a  half century.  After a year, I am busier than when I was working for a paycheck, I enjoy my life 24/7 and so retirement at the earliest possible moment worked for me.

Chatty and I can only tell you our experiences but each person is different as is the amount they will receive from SS.  You might come out better than you think being retired, that is if you want to retire.  I feel like I paid enough taxes in my lifetime and I concluded I could do other things to occupy my time that didn't require paying taxes let alone putting up with the crapola from any MTSO.

Google her - not so nice info!
nm
Thanks for the info. Guess I will wait till Mon.

YIKES!!! This is horrible. Guess I will not be applying there. Thanks for the info!! nm

Very nice owner, nice work, nice place - sm
the leave you alone.  I left because they do not budge from their pay which was kind of mediocre.  I would go back if I had to because they were extremely nice.
Warminster
I'm Warminster - I guess I'm not sure what your question is.....are you talking about IMail?
WARMINSTER?
Was told no - but I think it's really that the office people were told no so they don't all jump ship just yet!
Sorry, this is Warminster MQ I am speaking about.
:
Warminster PA MQ office sm
Can anyone tell me anything about this office? I am still debating on whether to turn in paperwork or not.
What can you tell me about the Warminster MQ office?
The good, the bad, and the ugly are all appreciated. Thank you very much.

C.C.
Was Warminster, God knows who we work for now nm

They were pulled into Warminster and some may now be in New York.
:
So is Warminster. Pity some but not all there. They never worked for the MT at all.
:
Warminster closing probably end of year.
:
Any Warminster MTs have any thoughts on the email about getting switched to the NE region. Just
wonder what you think about the whole thing.
Unfortunately I have to agree about Warminster. I am not even sure it is stay open at this point in
time. It seems very uncertain the way things are going and I have also heard that the accounts will be going to New York Amherst.
I also work for Warminster. Thinking of trying to transfer out. It is now the NE and yes multiple
accounts all the time. Warminster has always done this and I hear the same for the NE so may be time to look at other MQ offices.
Warminster office is about ready to close its doors. Our accounts unfortunately went to Amherst. I
understand they are going to have a national system not regional where when there is a hospital that needs help people out of work get work in it. I would rather have a main account or a few I know so I am not sure about this new deal. Maybe they are going in with Spheris.
Very nice people, nice place to work. nm

nm

Yes, nice QA (and nice people in general), but very little work right now. nm
nm
Yes! Nice lady, nice company. nm
xx
I second that. Amphion is nice, nice, nice

that's nice. have a nice weekend.

Nice post, thank you and have a nice day. nm

Any recent info on MedTrans Unlimited? newest archived info is 9 months old... m

Has anything changed in 9 months? Particular worries are the invoice/pay time; one post mentioned 2 to 3 week wait and another post stated 1 week. Info from the company states pay is sent out 10 days after the last day of the billing period, but we all know what is said and what is done isn't always the same. Another concern is the platform; some mentioned it was slow and cumbersome. They have 2 platforms from what I can gather.. Are they both slow? It seemed like certain specialties were done on certain platforms, or at least that is what I got out of the archives. I really hate to jump from the frying pan to the fire so any info would be VERY much appreciated.. the good, bad, and the ugly! TIA!!

Any Axolotl employees willing to share info., platform, ESL %, etc. All info greatly appreciated. sm

Along with the platform, ESL %, pay range, lpd required, split shift or 12-24 hour window available, I would be interested in knowing your personal experience with this company, what type of relationship you have with supervisors and other coworkers, etc.  Otherwise, the all the 411.

Thanks!

Current info on Diskriter?? Past info was very mixed. Either MTs hated it or liked it, does anyone

love working there and why? Do you easily meet your incentive pay or as past people have said, the ESL are so bad that you never meet the line count. I need current and new information. Isnt there a company out there that has a handful of happy employees or does all of them have both the haters and lovers. It is so hard to sort out fact from fiction sometimes and all of us have different expectations. It kind of goes along with the one man's junk is another man's treasures theory, I suppose.

Any new info on Amphion? Archive search doesn't provide new info (sm)
Looking for a part-time position with decent pay and decent workflow. There's nothing new in the archives.
Yep! And it's a NICE one, too, for each

full-time referral!  The trick there is the new employee has to be meeting their minimum line requirement by 90 days. Good luck!

If you can't say something nice about ... sm
someone/something, don't say anything at all. Then again, I also learned that a "cranky (sic) sailor is a happy sailor" - there is no need for all these people to gripe for no reason except to have their "voice" be heard. Sheesh
Wow, that is so nice of you to say.
I think I know who you are, but please email me tomorrow.

You are such a sweetheart. People like you make my job so much easier. You know, we really try to keep our MT's happy cause Sue and I are MT's and we know what the deal is.

Candy, give me a call or an email tomorrow. That is so nice. MDI has gotten such bad press from this board and you know, I didn't even know how to post and Sue explained it. Duh???

Thanks again,
Liz
they are nice
decent people
She is very nice
I have talked to Jean M. a few times already.  I just accepted their offer Friday and wanted to be sure I understood what they had told me.  What they told me sounded very good.  I am looking forward to starting.  They are going to let me work a split shift.  I am on evenings now with 2 little boys and it makes it hard.
They were very nice. sm
The two things I did not care for was the unlimited long distance, and their software Bayscribe.  Even though it was easy to use, the spellcecker is way too outdated.  I did not care for that at all.
Yes..of course..say something nice about OSi
I agree. Based on the writing, wording used, and the same old themes used over and over, it really does seem like the same couple of bitter people complaining about OSi. I don't know what has brought them out of the woodwork all of a sudden. Doesn't really matter to me. I'm happy there. I'm not a newbie, wasn't when I started, and have been there 3 years now. I hope to be there for a long time to come.
WOW, must be nice!!
I have a little over 9 years. 30+ years, way to go!!!
That's nice. They still are not MTs.
x
It would be nice to know what the
for most of the ER MTs and for most of their acute care MTs so we could get a general feel for what can truly be achieved. I have also heard they have several platforms and wonder which ones are the most MT friendly.
Nice try - someone from QA?
LOLOLOLOL
Oh that is so much BS. QA has always been very nice to me. Everybody's nice.
nm
Nice-
It is nice to be appreciated now and then.
Have a nice day to you all! nm

Thanks, that's nice of you (sm)
I figured the KS people would be happy to get the lost IDs back after a fashion. Maybe the 3 people who had to stop last week can start on it again. It's news to me that KS was getting it all, though. But that hospital wasn't up front with us about many things. I hope you all are making good money on it, I couldn't make much money on that platform even with my IT.

I doubt that there will be severance, though. I'm just a little in shock that it was so fast; I figured we'd have another week or so at least. I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone.
Hey, that's not nice. I'm sure they let her off QA

because, after looking at her reports, they see that she knows what she is doing!
