MQ, which wants a minimum of 1200 lpd which means 6000 per week for FT MTs.  They do pay time and a half for the major federal holidays (not including Easter, of course). However, ASR work is paid at 30% of regular pay, and we do get primarily ASR work (about 85%+) in most cases, it seems. They are usually looking for good MTs, so negotiating a good starting rate is up to the MT at hire date. Production determines one's benefit rate and is very important (as it also determines one's PTO rate). I always have work, and even did over the July 4th holiday, but some areas do not. Seems to depend on which area in which on works. I hope this helps a little. Good luck to you.
