I don't think I could have edited at 5 years!!  I talked to one company who paid hourly for editing and I asked her if they did total read throughs on new hires or trainees and she said no, we leave it up to the MT to know what they are supposed to know.  I said you're kidding right?  She told me, I don't have any MT training, I used to work in sales, so I can't read over all these.   I asked her, In other words, YOU have NO training whatsoever and you just let the reports go without being checked?  Do you know how dangerous that is to a patient?   She said, Well I'm taking a terminology course.  


I just can't imagine the facilities aren't getting back huge amounts of mistakes!!!
