It might depend on the cable company. I didn't tell mine what I was using it for but I specifically asked if it was truly unlimited or not and mentioned how the phone company says theirs is unlimited but capped me at 5000 minutes a month. She said, no, it's really unlimited. It doesn't go through phone lines, it goes through cable, so it's different - probably in the way that you can have your TV running all the time and they don't care.
