I thought I posted this once, but I didn't see it come up.


So basically you guys are telling me that if I want to make a job change and remain an IC, I will have to work the third shift or take a cut in pay to do it.  Hmmm, I have had this job for 11 months or so and I know that my cpl will increase at my annual review to 11.50 minimum.  I know this because they wanted to start me at that and I thought that was a bit much and I would be happy with 11 cpl.  So, we agreed that as long as my annual review was fine it would jump to 11.5 cpl.  Guess I've had my head in the ground--I've never had any problem getting 11 cpl as an IC and I've always had plenty of work, etc.  Maybe I should stay put, ride the changes out and see what happens.
