convert shortcuts
We are able to convert shortcut files from many programs, including DOS based, for use in other systems/platforms. Tim S. at technocare@adelphia.net
do what I do - type in WP and then convert to Word - sm
All my "stuff" (and you know what I mean) is on WP and I didn't want to spend the $$ to get all new for Word ... so, I do all my typing in WP, do a basic WP spell check, then open the document in Word and save as a Word document for my final proofing. I know some other MTs just proof as they go, but I find a double WP spell check/Word final proof gives me pretty near 100% accuracy. The clients get what they want (Word, accuracy) and I get what I want - awesome production out of WP, even accounting for converting and proofing. Works for me!
WMX uses Shorthand. If there is a way to convert your files (sm)
the trainers will know how.
expansions
Oh my, forgive me. I didn't think it would be a problem, but I guess it is.
expansions
Boy, do you need to chill. Never been a thief before, not starting now. I did put those expansions in myself, 3 years worth, a lot of my own time. Ask a simple question, get a snotty wise-a** answer back
expansions
Sorry I started this thing, but I believe the consensus is that I should take my expansions with me. I will ask my supervisor. She is supposed to be calling me tonight. Not looking forward to that! Thanks for the support everybody, I need it right now!
MQ expansions
are saved in a file I think called user.aco. I left 5 months ago so can't remember exactly. You can bring it up as a text file in notepad and save it. When I left MQ, I saved all my expansions and converted them to Instant Text.

Expansions
I would talk to tech at TT. I didn't bother to do it. I took me about a month to get most of mine back in, not too bad, but it would have been easier if I had mine from MQ
Expansions
Anyone know of any other books besides Saving Keystrokes to improve expansions?
Expansions
I don't work with expansions, mostly because I don't quite understand them. When I started we were on typewriters.

What is the best one and how are they used?
Transfer of expansions

Does anyone know how to transfer expansions from one platform over to a new platform?

DocQScribe expansions
I know there is a file you can save and copy, as they did it for me with the company I work for.  I'll find out for you on Monday and let you know.
question about expansions in DocQscribe

Does anyone know how to copy DocQScribe expansions from DocQscribe onto the same (DocQscribe) expansions on a different account.  Another words, I work for 2 companies as an IC and they both have DocScribe.  One account I have been on for some time and have acquired a lot of expansions, and would just like to copy them over to my somewhat newer account so that I don't have to re-add them all in.  ');>

Copying expansions from DocQscribe to ExText?
Does anyone know of any way to do this??? I would hate to start from scratch on ExText.
Similar to DocQScribe, expansions go in auto-correct, horrible spell-check. nm
