Not uncommon. The venture capitalists insist on

profit even if it means bad behavior, and senior management goes along with whatever is dictated, whether it's what the client wants or not (ssssshhh!). If it means they get a year end bonus or a cushy pad to play
in, more's the better. Reminds me of offshoring that clients never knew abut, either.

MTSOs, in my experience in management, will do anything as long as it means that the bar tab has no ceiling and they can keep up with the Jones family next door.

Sorry to sound so bitter and jaded, but I'm tired seeing what management will do to entertain themselves at the expense of the MT and the patient.

Were their new venture capitalists, er, partners, on the calls?
Should be very interesting.
Why do adults (I presume) insist on using such
x
Not uncommon to be charged a deposit.
Some do. Webmedx, TT and Amphion to name a few.

Axolotl ?? cannot remember for sure.

Some don't (Diskriter and Precyse Solutions).

Others require you to provide your own equipment.
Many MDIers have had this problem today. Not uncommon.
You might want to get a second job as back up.
Not uncommon to have U.S. address and be based overseas.
Cannot speak for this company though. It's amazing when you speak to companies who advertise as U.S. based and given an Indian name as a contact, only to speak to this person at an 800 or 888 number, and quickly know that they have an extremely heavy accent and are likely with an overseas company.
Insist on sample of prior reports, lots of them. Then when you see it, sm
you will say, Oh, so that is what he is saying.  Then, put it in your expander.  Phrases work the best for me, not normals.  Phrases in the Expander for what each item these guys use.  But you need to see lots of samples of prior reports.
Why do supervisors who insist they are not paid to transcribe cherry pick accounts to death?
They could really show some leadership ability if they took the bad dictators and left a few easy reports for those of us who would appreciate an easy report once in a while.
Best of luck to you in your new venture.
.
Do ask, but I would venture a guess (sm)
that our paydays are always on Monday, but I have noticed for the last several months or so, my money is always IN THE BANK the Friday before.  If you want to be sure though, just email them.  They always answer.
Not OSI MT, but term venture capitalist SM
has been used a lot lately in reference to MT companies. My own company has venture capitalist, or is it vulture capitalists?

Only speculation on my part, but are these Indian investors who want an American MT company, then eventually move said company to India? Or wherever?

I supposed none of it really matters, I am just curious. Am I the only person who wonders about this?
Anyone ever heard of Smith Venture and Co out of Virginia?? (sm)
would appreciate any info on here or you can e-mail me.  Thanks.

I venture a guess that it is the same group of people..
flaming others. Not sure what they get out of it, good attention, bad attention, even bad attention is attention and it seems that may be what is going on here. Perhaps pent up frustration at other stuff in their lives and they take it out here, on innocent posters. Just a guess. I've been coming here for years, but this seems to be the worst of the worst of behavior lately.
