statement. When I said that I was meaning what lots of MTs think about them. you know the MTs who complain about the OPs and ESLs, etc. I don't think either are crap and like you would rather do OP notes all day long and have told the company that. I would also think I had died and gone to heaven. Lots of things you can put in your key Expanders for OP reports huh?

Should have made that clear! Sorry!

Not always the "crap" companies
Let me give you some insight on why companies are going to paying by the line.  The particular company I work for had an expectation of 2000 lines per day to be paid hourly.  The account is beginner level, all Americans, no specialties.  We get editors who turn in 600 lines for an 8-hour shift.  We can go and look at the length of time between jobs submitted and see that there were 50 minutes taken to do a 2-minute job. So she was paid X amount of dollars per hour to do 30 lines of dictation.   X=insert amount here and you do the math.
Oooh, that STUNG!
Actually, an MTSO is more often referred to as a Medical Transcription Service Organization, not "Owner." So, you're thinking that Frank from Medquist, or Sean from Webmedx, or Giselle from JLG, etc., etc., should be conducting interviews? Why not? Hey, they don't have anything better to do, right? All they do is run multi-million dollar companies, why not conduct a dozen or so interviews each day, to boot? And, after all, as an MTs "Owner," they know all about crazy people. (Riiiiight.)

Yes, my post was defensive. I always get defensive when people espouse ideas with little thought or logic behind them. It hopefully makes them think before they post again, and if not, it creates something for people to read on the board.

Why should I take it to heart? Because you're criticizing WHAT I DO! Duh! You're saying that I, as a recruiter, am not smart enough to pick a nutjob out during a 20-minute interview (but the MTS "Owner" can). I'll remember from now on that when you voice your opinion, I should not listen. Thanks for giving me fair warning. Next time, use "No one pay attention to what I say" as the subject for your post, would ya?

Methinks thou doeth protest too much re the psych evals....

And, for the second time, you've said all you have to say. Great! Have a good day!
oooh. I do remember the post saying whoever it was they use escription
but I looked it up in the search engine but it didn't come up.  I know TTS has a bad name from the looks of things.
Let me rephrase that! -sm
The name of the company is Voice Transcription. They are located in Washington state.
Got cut off-, but maybe you should rephrase that. nm

Let me rephrase that
Is there anything positive about the company?  I just saw all the messages related to them and it doesn't look good.
Ok, let me rephrase that: We are on OT *and* have a ton of work on my acct. nm

let me rephrase...... sorry if I sounded rude
but it kind of felt like you were implying it is my own fault to not have work right now -- The actual POINT of my original post was that if they want to force us to pick a shift then we should get work during that time and NOT have to work late or all night to get it........
Let me rephrase: "The owner presents herself as an MT who understands our situations"
