Occasionally run low but...

Plenty of backup accounts available. I work on escription. Pay is 4/8.4. Benefits are decent. Nice management. I think the SHINE platform pays more but I'm not positive on that.

No, just occasionally now

MDI-MD is great but we do occasionally get threatened by
Dorothy that she will hire more MTs to the account when the account gets out of TAT.
not all management is gone - I still talk to occasionally - sm
talk to one Transcriptionist that is working for them, but getting ready to leave, and some of the management is still there, based on things she has told me.
I occasionally get someone with NO transcription experience (sm)
demanding to be tested for a QA position! QA!!!!!!

You don't qualify for QA TESTING, much less a position, if you have never done transcription!

Background noise occasionally very bad ...
I am one who started in the beginning with this Sept/Oct -start account. Does anybody else have certain files that have an unusual level of background noise? I can tell that many of their dictation stations are right there at the busy nursing desks, but now and then I have one where the background noise (voices) is louder than the dictator. Do you think it's possible the stations have a conference setting, and some of the stations have that chosen instead of the proper dictation setting? You know, like the portable tape recorders had. Possible? Somebody in a discussion below mentioned the importance of a good sound card, but I would think it would be all the time rather than now and then if it were a sound card issue.
I have a set schedule...and have worked occasionally on the weekend
to help out because it's a brand new account and they're still trying to see where their greatest need is, like the busiest times.  It just depends on what account you get on I guess. I'm used to a set schedule because I worked MQ for 8 years.  They have benefits and everything so it really isn't like being an IC or SE but they do try to be flexible. After the nightmare of what MQ became in the last year I had to switch...I was just losing too much money at MQ and so far I love Keystrokes.
Depends on the account for which you are hired, my accounts are low occasionally but usually with a
couple of backup accounts and doing all work types, you can do fine.
DSG is a good fit for me, management friendly, pay on time, occasionally running out of work is one
of my biggest complaints, but it is usually not for long, just enough to upset the routine.  Production incentive a plus.  Sound quality depends on the account.
