You know what?  You are the one making assumptions here.  I am quite familiar with VR.  You know as we get older, sometimes our comprehension skills deteriorate.  While I am retired, obviously you have me on the age factor.  I will admit that my faculties aren't quiet as sharp as they once were.  No doubt your's aren't either.  I am, however, a speed demon when it comes to typing (or editing) and if I chose to work in my twilight years I would still be good and I would make money....that primarily because I would NEVER EVER in this lifetime do VR or straight transcription for 4 cpl or less.  Doing straight typing I averaged between 2000-4000 lines in an 8 hour day, about half or a little more for VR.  The rah rahers for VR I simply do not believe but then to each his/her own, it's no change out of my pocketbook.

Less you think I am totally retired...it'll never happen.   I became sick and TIRED of the way MT is going.  I have other talents that I use to make money...one as my name implies.  I used to be a pretty accomplished guitar player.  I am doing some brushing up and will shortly start giving beginner lessons.  Next weekend I am entered in a Dutch oven cooking contest (which I expect to win as usual) and the prize is a mere $500 but it's fun and $500 for about 4 hours work isn't exactly chicken feed.!   I also do volunteer work.  So see, there is life after MT.

For your further information, I seldom post here but I do keep up with what is going on in the MT industry.  I loved it for many years and I feel for those who are having such a hard time.  I would never display the arrogance some of you folks on this board seem to get such a kick out of doing.  As for thr big fat checks doing VR, show me the money and I'll believe it.

Have a nice day.
