does it matter to them that they offended?

I sit here thinking whatt, if anything, will they do to look better? The way I see it, they have two options:

1) Fire the primitive thinker, claim the rest of the chain of command are just 'yes men' to his outbursts, and hire pregnant women at a ratio of 3:1 for the next 10 accounts.

or

2) Wait it out till the dust settles and all is forgotten (not to be confused with forgiven).
