One year at Medware

They have been good to work for, I started part time and then went full time.  I haven't heard of Phoenix so I can't help you there.  Good luck to you.  I think we started a new clinic so you may want to call, but Medware pays on time and I always have work so I have been quite happy.

I have been at Medware for a year
Very happy, plenty of work and direct deposit every 2 weeks.  My team leader is helpful and very professional, a change from where I was at previously.  I have their insurance for myself and kids, it is with United.  Overall I am happy, good pay and I don't run out of work.  Good luck to you.
I have been with Medware for over a year
They are very nice people to work with and I get my lines every week, I am on Merit.  They also use EXText.  I like my team leader and the account I am on.  Not sure if that will help you as previously I was with MQ, but Medware has been wonderful.

Very happy from the start.  It's shift work, but you can pretty much request what works for you and the team leader makes the decision, mine is pretty cool and I like working for her.  I also like direct deposit as previously I had to wait for checks in the mail.  Hope that helps and good luck to you.
I have been with Medware for 1 year
and have been very happy.  Pay is good and yes, you get paid for normals.  I also have their insurance plan and think it is quite fair, it's United Healthcare and I had that plan with a previous employer and like it very much.  They also pay an incentive bonus for 12000 every 2 weeks and that is what I do.  Hope this helps but I have been quite pleased, they seem to care and I like my team leader, she is easy to get in touch with and will work with me when something comes up.
Medware for almost a year
Yes, they do PT for at least 20 hours a week.  I am on EXText but I know they also use their own software called Merit.  I am an employee with benefits but started PT for about a month to see how I liked it, and then I went FT.  They are a nice place to work, the people are very professional and they always do the little things to make you feel like you are a part of the team.  Hope that helps.

Pay is always on time (direct deposit) and the people there are really nice.  They use EXText software but also have their own.  I have a flex schedule so ask them about that, benefits are good and not too expensive.  I am happy to be with them and hope that they keep growing, I see where they just signed a new hospital group and are hiring MTs.
I started at Medware 1 year ago
They have been a good company to work for.  I have plenty of work in my primary account, and have gone to my secondary on occasion.  I like my team leader and also having direct deposit, something that is way better than the checks I used to wait forever on at my old service.  Medware may not be for everyone but I have enjoyed everyone from tech support to training to my team leader.

They are a good company and have work.  I started out PT as I worked out my notice and then went full time.  They have accounts that use EXText and I love that software, easy to make a good line count.  I like being paid by direct deposit and the health insurance is about $17 a week, so that seemed affordable to me.  Good luck to you.
Very happy at Medware the past year
I enjoy my accounts and have work.  The best things I like about Medware are my team leader who is very professional and understanding, and the regular paydays which are direct deposit.  Those were two things I did not have with my last service.  Medware has been a good company to work for.  Good luck to you.
How is it that in less than 1 year Medware goes from the best company to work for to the worst?

Let's hope AAMT does a better job of picking the next company of the year!

my first year I made 16k. Doubled that second year. Going on year 6 with (sm)

two local accounts I earned 23,000.00 and a national I earned 35,400... 58,400 this year.  Don't ask me how many hours, though, I really have no idea.  I'm pretty motivated.  (When people ask me how many hours I work a week I reply as many as it takes  I'd say 40-50/week.  I am also a fitness instructer and personal trainer, about 5 hours a week or so.  Decent money (sometimes under the table!) but mostly I just do it for fun and to be social and wear cute work-out clothes.

that first year was a rough one... but I consider it part of my education.

I'm pretty motivated.

Last year, there was a letter sent that told us what we earned the previous year. sm
In the past, it has been all or nothing; if you did not hit the lines for full time for the year, you did not get PTO. I talked to my lead this morning about a last-minute vacation and she told me that the yearly packets are going out in a week or so and that the new policy will acrue PTO by the pay period or month. I like that a lot better, but she also made it sound like they are upping the amount of lines needed to acrue PTO. I normally get between 15 and 20,000 lines per pay period, so I am sure that will be fine but I am worried about the periods that have lower volumes, like most of January every year.
Webmedx lets you carry them from year to year sm
You can accrue up to 140 hours (I think) before you stop the accrual process. Don't have to use it all in one year.
I would stick it out, most places are slow now through the end of the year every year (nm)

Last year $36K part time, going to make more this year full time BUT sm

I AGREE it IS getting harder to make money.  I used to make $24 very part time 10 years ago and now...well it is Word and platforms versus WP5.1.  I got 7.5 cents a byte line then and I get 9.5 cents a character line now.  That IS a huge different in point of fact.

OH I WANT MY WORDPERFECT 5.1 BACK!!!!! Bwaaah!

She's giving work TO Medware, or is Medware giving work to her company? Medware has no work. nm

Does anyone have any comments on working for Medware?  Thanks!
Medware
Thanks for your input!! I'm job shopping and want to make a better decision this time.
Medware
Does anyone know what Medware is paying these days? They seem to have a lot of ads for help in transcription and for the Dictaphone platform.
medware pay

I went through their whole testing bit, got called twice for interviews, once with a guy and then once I passed the test, some lady called me.  They said I did well on the test, but they only offered me 7.5 cpl (5 yrs exp).  I need more than that so chose to not go with their company.

Medware for me
Love my account, direct deposit every 2 weeks and the insurance is affordable.  My supervisor is really cool and understanding, we get along great.  1 year and counting, hope for many more.  Good luck to you.
Medware
Hi! I just started with them last week and so far it has been really great. They are all really nice and I have had wonderful training. You get paid by the hour for the first 4 weeks so you have time to learn the system (which the system itself is excellent and extremely easy)Your rate is determined by experience so I don't know other than my own. I guess you have to ask them about the schedule, but mine is just what I need. The staff is very, very nice. I think you would really like it. If you will notice, there is tons of negative stuff about all the MT companies on this board, but Medware has a lot less negative than some of the others (I looked through it before I started.) I think you should try it.
I am with Medware
Easy platform, good pay, good people, flexible schedule. Just what I need.
Osi does and I think Medware nm

Has anyone out there worked for Medware?  I have gotten a job offer from them and just wondered how they are to work for.  Thanks for any help
Medware which one?
Which Medware are you all praising? Where is it located?
Medware
They are located in Florida.
Medware
Hi, am thinking about Medware.  How do you like it?  What is it really like.  Do they have a good training program.  I was very impressed with the marketeer.  He seemed very accommodating and willing to work with me.  Just wondering what the scoop is.  Thanks in advance
Medware
ty so much for your response. w/ so many companies out there unsure of what to do. I have been transcribing for 3 years and just getting my line count up. Plus being fairly new on the block was unsure whether I would fit in. Just how easy would it be for a fairly new comer to fit in. I need a little encouragement and a small amount of TLC, but just for a short time.
Medware
Does Medware pay for spaces, headers, footers, etc.
You probably should ask Medware
accurate rate. They are a very good company however. Good luck.
Medware pay
I had 16+ years experience and Medware paid me the same as a newbie because I didn't have my CMT, although I was considered a Level III transcriptionist.  Also, having your CMT, you are still maxed out on the pay.  I had heard that Medware wasn't really hiring anymore MT because they were outsourcing to India and they were only hiring editors or turning MTs within the company into editors.  At one time, they were a good company to work for.  I have been gone for a year so things may have changed.  This was just my experience with the pay scale.
Medware
Medware is still hiring MTs. Only one area of the company deals with the Indian transcription. Everything else is still done by US transcriptionists. There are 6 levels of pay -- level I, II, and III for both certified and non-certified MTs. A recruiter could better give you an idea what those rates are.

... a happy MW employee
Medware
Looking for opinions on Medware from current employees. Can anyone tell me how many transcriptionists they have, are they flexible at all, do they offer part-time, positives and negatives? Most importantly, are you making any money with them? Thanks.
MedWare? Can anyone tell me anything?
I have been offered a position and am hesitant to take it, can anyone give me any insight?  Thanks for any info you can provide.
MedWare
They sound almost too good to be true! How many ESLs do you have to do, on average?
Medware
Does anyone have any info on the job posted today by Medware for MTs with ExText experience? Considering applying and am wondering if anyone who works for them part time can tell me if there is any flexibility with them, line rate range, pay for headers, spaces, etc., and can anyone "in the know" tell me what account this is starting up? Also some general info on the company - how many MTs they have, do they offer any benefits at all for part time? Thanks in advance!
Medware pay?
Anyone know approximately the starting pay at Medware for IC and employee?  Does anyone know if they are hiring for psychiatry or therapy accounts?
Medware or OSI
Offered jobs by both, appreciate any help.
Medware or OSi
I worked for OSi for 2 yrs and recently left to join Medware. Medware is a better run company. Their people are more professional and knowledgeable. It is just a great place to work!!

There have been a lot of OSi people leave and go to Medware in the past month.

Medware
I tested for Medware 2 weeks ago and have not heard from them. I know I did well on the test. Anyone know if they are really hiring?
Anyone know what Medware

Medware ICs

Hi! Does anyone happen to know if you can switch from employee to IC at Medware?

Also, if you are an IC, what time frame do you have to do your work?

THANKS!!

Medware
I applied for Medware today.  Any information would be most appreciated
Medware
Medware is top rated by AAMT because most of Medware's management happen to be AAMT officers or former officers - brings to mind The fox guarding the henhouse.

I don't rave about them. I did work for them for awhile, but their platform was not my cup of tea, nor do I agree with their outsourcing.
Medware

I agree - the management nominates themselves and then they vote for themselves. Medware has some very active members in AAMT.

Medware also offshores in a very big way. You can run a check on Google for Medware India to see for yourself.

Medware
Medware does.  Also, just saw that Cymed offers it but I don't know anything about that company.
Medware or MDI-FL...
Has anyone worked for both companies and could tell me which is better?  Trying to decide which company is better.  The offer is about the same for both, benefits seem about the same, so just trying to decide who is the easiest to get lines with, easiest to work with, etc.  I have looked through the archives and good and bad about both, so not sure what to do.  Thanks in advance.
Medware or MDI-FL (sm)
I have never worked for MDI-FL but have heard good things about them.

I now work for Medware and am very happy there. The system is great. My Team Lead is the best when it comes to being flexible...he is very understanding, also has a great sense of humor which is a must in my book! It is great working with some of the most professional leaders in this industry.

I do believe I have found my home.

You have talked to both companies, so compare and make the best decision you can. Good luck!
medware
This sounds like typical Medware management - superior, arrogant, sarcastic.

I would encourage you to call your recruiter. If there is anything that I can do for you please do not hesitate to give me a call. 1-800-881-3131 x371.
