I really don't like such familiarity in the workplace. I want to keep my professional life separate from my work life. I have my own friends. I am not at work to play and socialize. I am not trying to be mean and I know others will see it differently, and that is fine. I just don't want to be bothered with extraneous details about people who are not part of my family or friendship circle.
