No announcements on the SPI end of things, but I think as a company SPI has a lot to offer. I interviewed with the company I think you are referring to and stuck with SPI. If this turns out to be true and not be a rumor I would definitely not panic and give SPI a chance. Awesome platform by the way. IMO better then ExText.
