Sacramento Calif Transcribers

Any medical transcriptionists out there who live in Sacramento, CA.  I am in So Cal.  I applied for a job with the state (prison system) as a transcriber.  I was being considered for the job, but they just recently sent me a letter stating that all the transcription is now going to be centralized in Sacramento.  So, if you are in Sacramento, and you are looking for a job with the state you might want to check that out.  (Unless of course Arnold cuts it all together because of the budget)

I live in Oakland CA which is about an hour and a half from Sacramento..thanks for passing on the info....it would be cool if the state would allow the work to be done from home.....hmmmm......
my worst is in sacramento..sm
He speaks clearly, but he has this irritating habit of, after dictating for about five minutes, stopping, and saying no, don't say that, say... and then I have to erase everything I just typed and start over again. I have begun charging extra lines for this, though, because after all, I did type it. It was not my fault he had to have it erased. grrrr...
I live NEAR Sacramento, but not IN it. I was
looking at State jobs because they were inhouse, and paid a lot better than the MTSO's do. Two very good jobs had popped up near me, but right about then is when Ah-nold couldn't seem to balance the State budget on time, and State workers were either being laid or or paid late. This happens in California EVERY YEAR, it seems, and I just don't want to go through all that worry and drama every summer when the new fiscal year begins. So I'm taking a wave-off on the State jobs, and will continue to hold out for an inhouse hospital or medical clinic job, even though they're fewer and farther between, with the hope that our new administration in Washington will put an end to the perks the MTSO's get for offshoring. That could bring the price up, and more hospitals may bring their work back inhouse again. At least that's what I'm hoping!
NSF Paychecks Eight Crossing in Sacramento
Paychecks being returned for nonsufficient fund on multiple occasions to multiple MTs.  Beware.
APT...All Points Transcribers......SM

Boss bought it from an MT.  Boss couldn't type, knew next to nothing about computers when we went over to computers...played all kinds of holiday/bonus games involving money and was EXTREMELY cheap and I expect nothing in the life and can still say just how cheap she was and to her 5 closest (most important and highest producers) people in her office.  I left first and then 4 others slowly followed (her 5 best people) and then her biz liquidated (completely went under) which was my plan from the moment I walked out.

Payback is just SO GREAT, isn't it????  *ROFLMAO*

Now she is a miserable old lady today!

Info Michiana Transcribers, Inc. now MD-IT
I need information on this company ASAP, as they have taken over my company's in-house transcription department.  I have an option of signing on with them and transcribing the docs/therapists that I do now.   I have to make a decision pretty quick here.  I have met with the owners, etc.  What are they like to work for?  It seems as if they keep trickling info to us, such as not telling us up front that we would be asked to work rotating weekends, holidays without pay, etc.  I am used to in-house (14 years), where this is not required.  I want everything up front before I sign on with them, because if I sign on and then am not happy with them, I miss out on unemployment/COBRA, etc.  I do not want to  make a mistake here.  Anyone out there, please reply either on the board or you can e-mail me.  THANK YOU!!!!
