The owners haven't changed, MT supe hasn't changed
I've been in their office. I know the people. It is a sweat shop and you will never be paid a decent amount or get respect. You won't know which is a good or a bad day for the person you report to until you literally get yelled at.

They have to offer bonuses because their reputation is that bad and nothing has changed. You may get work that has been recorded 3 times from some of the worst accounts you could ever imagine. They take accounts no one else will touch. That hasn't changed.
They changed buildings so maybe the phone number also changed...
They are still going strong...
TSSC
Good folks to work for and good folks to work with. If you think I'm saying this because I type for them, you're wrong. I did, though, for a short period of time, am not anymore because of email foul-ups, but I do not have one bad word to say about that company. Check was always in the bank as promised. I never had an assigned account per se, which was my only problem with them, but I think that was rather a special case and no fault of theirs or mine.

If you're an IC, TSSC is the place to be.
TSSC???
In response to post below - what is TSSC? I am an IC and need more work.
TSSC! nm

tssc
What was awful about them? I was thinking of applying.
TSSC?

Anyone work/worked for TSSC here?  I did a search but only came up with posts from a year or more ago.  Any current info out there?  I'm looking for something part time to supplement my other account.  Things seem to have dried up here again with one account, kind of difficult to just relax and take the free time to prepare for the holidays when I need the money in order to do that!     TIA!

Anyone know about TSSC??

Does anyone have any experience with TSSC???

TSSC, LLC
Does anyone know if TSSC, LLC provides equipment to transcriptionists?  Any other info would be great.  I'm not finding much on the boards about them.
TSSC
if you can handle being nitpicked daily for 90 days and working on crappy dictators, they are great!
TSSC
I've worked for TSSC for almost 3 years and love it! It's a great company to work for and I have no complaints.
TSSC

I work for TSSC and highly recommend them.  They don't have pools, so you get to become accustomed to the same doctor(s).  They are easy to work with, i.e., if you need more work or less work, they can adjust your work load with no problem.  Pay is 1st and 15th, direct deposit, always on time (if not early).  I have typed many, many dictators over the years (7) and think they have a supply of good dictators.  Any other questions, I'd be happy to answer.  They are also good at giving feedback.

Hey TSSC......

I realize and understand why the MTs are upset about the pay cut.  That being said, you don't know the technicalities of the whole situation.  I personally don't think that if your account was not one that was being reduced, then your pay should not be reduced.  But that is my opinion.  I am also amazed that there are people out there that actually pay more than 10 cpl!

That being said....I am currently working part time for a company for 8 cpl (which satisfies me), and I am looking for another typing position to offer me work every day.  I would be happy to rescue some of you from your 8 and 9 cpl hell for a little more work every day.  I would just be grateful to have the extra income at this point.

Jobs are not easy to come by these days guys....be grateful that you have a job because the only alternative would be to start your own MT company, and we all know that takes money.  So, it puts you between a rock and a hard place and it sucks, I agree.  But keep in mind that there are people out there that would happily take your jobs and not fuss about it.

TSSC. Opinions, please? nm

Does anyone have web address for TSSC?
Thanks
TSSC is hiring.

I know that TSSC is hiring now.  They have an ad on the Job board.   Truly a great company to work for if you want to still work as an IC but get the accounts and get paid on time.   No bennies, but definitely worth the accounts.  They have direct deposit now also.

Opinion of TSSC
Check out TSSC's ad on the job board.  They are hiring.  GREAT company, IC status.  They have direct deposit and I know they are hiring now.
TSSC definitely worth it. sm

I just started with TSSC 6 months ago.  I think it was the best move I could make.  I have assigned accounts. I know when my work is coming and don't have to worry about it being given to someone else.   Pay is never an issue. They have direct deposit and set paydays.  No waiting for the check to come.

TSSC is great!

I've worked for TSSC for 2 years now and they are awesome! It's a small company and the owners are great to work for. The accounts are assigned so you're able to build up your line count quicker. Direct deposit and never late. I'd give it a try!

Any info on TSSC, LLC
Could not find many posts on this company. Thanks.
Anyone here work for TSSC?
Just wondering why I sometimes get responses that include times of prior e-mails.  It's almost like they are on the defensive.  I have never encountered this type of communication and am having trouble making sense of it.  I don't need a history of communication, who did what when is not necessary for such minor requests and I find it particularly confusing.  I feel like I'm bothering them or something.  Anyone else feel like they are imposing?  I haven't worked there long but like it so far.  Wish I knew why communication was so different.  Maybe it's because they've grown so fast, could just be incredibly busy I guess.
TSSC starting pay
And, I believe their starting pay is 8 cpl (65 char w/spaces). I believe they are hiring currently.
TSSC stands for?

Sorry, I don't know all the company names by their initials.

TSSC invo
Normally, TSSC uses no platform. Just download files and type in your Word with your expanders, etc. However, I was checking out this Avreo system myself and have just asked Tracie some production questions. Also, I see that she is offering 9 cpl, instead of 8, for this particular account. (This is the only account that I know of that uses a platform.) Will updated when I get more info.
TSSC - are they IC only? Their website gives no info at all. nm

Any current info on TSSC?
Starting pay?  Anything?  Thanks!
Tssc pays for everything that is typed sm
So if you type a patient name, dob, or dos, you get paid for it.    TSSC works for some people,  for some it does not.

Need help with DSS files ?

I am busily updating my resume while my new (NO) Rewards package from MQ sits next to the trash.  Looking over ads in the job board, several I am interested said "need software for DSS files."  I feel really stupid here and am not sure what is DSS files or the software needed.  I am ashamed to ask.  I am a good MT but after so long with MQ I have not had to look for a job in many, many years so feel out of the loop so to speak.

Please explain DSS files and what I would need to purchase.  Thanks so much.

DSS files

DSS = Digital Speech Standard.  Simply the format the voice file is in.  Some recorders use memory sticks, memory cards, flash cards, etc.  Just depends on what make of hand-held they are using as to what format the voice file is in.  As BayGirl said, most software plays them  without problem.  I use WavPlayer and have not had one I could not play yet, or could not get a free plug-in download to play them.

files
i have about 50 or so left to do, plan on finishing up in the day or two. Did you finish yours?
DCT files
Write to them and tell them that, because I was able to open it, but it had just static no words at all.  I wrote to them and they are going to send me the file in a different way or format.  So you should write to them as well.
.DCT files
Thanks! Yes, I did e-mail them and technical is suppose to send them a different file. My wave player will not open up .DCT files and the Real Player or Windows Media Player will not play those types of files on my computer. I have tried every way to play it, but no luck. I guess I will just have to be patient.
files
Hi,

Do you have a MQ computer or your own with the DocQScribe expander?
No files
Just to clear this up - no patient files were sent thru the IM, only the setup files, the account instructions, etc. I do think this would be a great company to work for, I just felt like the trainer and I were on different levels and had a little bit of conflict, partly because I don't think I was as computer savvy as she wanted me to be.
Wav files
Has anyone every received a wav file, but was unable to get it to play? I have a wav player, but when I was sent two files to test with I was unable to get the files to play.  Any suggestions?
files.......
Make sure the file type (.dss, .wma) is checked on whatever player you use. Sometimes I have gotten these too and for some reason when I went back in my player, the box was unchecked for that file type.
About WAV files.
Same here.  I just recently put in application with DTS Medical Transcription.  We they had Zip files.  Not sure if these are wav files or not.  But turned out my computer warned me not to upload them into my system.  They were corrupted.   Anyway, this is not the first time I have not been able to test for a company because they use wav files.  I don't know either what the answer is.  I just don't test when companies use these files for testing.   Maybe someone else here knows how to handle this.
how many files?
Just curious: How many files do you have to transcribe? And how many minutes of dictation did the entire test end up to be?
What did they want you to do with the files?

Are you testing or is it actual work?   Please elaborate!!!

Thanks!

Where did you get the files?
I sent my resume this morning. I guess they get in touch with you via *rude* (lol) e-mail? I made sure to follow the directions!
compressed files
They are much smaller than regular voice files. DocShuttle's wav player will play them.
do they have a particular platform or FTP files?
thanks
Six different files is a lot... see message
In my personal opinion, if your resume is packed with experience, six files is a bit much.  I think a test should take approximately an hour at the most, not four hours!  I think that is totally unfair.  I also received an e-mail that was so condescending from a job offer on this board stating I guess there are MTs out there that don't know an easy dictator when they hear one, or something of that nature, along with like eight files to transcribe for testing and a format doc, etc. stating this is the easy doc.  Give me a break!  Are these people trying to make you do their work for a day?  That's awful.  JMO!  My current IC position tested me on like three files, and it was the actual dictators that I would be transcribing, one easy, too a little more difficult, but that was it!
