What type of career field are you in now, if I may ask?

Congrats! That is great for you!
Maybe one day I'll get there myself
Well, kudos to you!! Great rates! Congrats!! nm
..
I'm a bit late in chiming in, but congrats on your new job. I think KS is great! sm

The people are caring and easy to work with, and you feel like you matter, not just some insignificant cog in a wheel.  I don't have to have someone hold my hand and give me attaboys all day, but it is nice to know that things are recognized and appreciated.  I used to read on the board and think probably people were blowing smoke when they went on about how terrific Keystrokes is, but I have to agree -- they are wonderful people.

Good luck!

test master
I handle testing for a big company. I'm shocked at how many MTs fail testing when they list their years of experience. Most of the time, I think they simply are so puffed up about their abilities that they blow the seriousness of the test off. I've definitely learned that anyone boasting about their years of experience probably will do poorly.

We don't give out or test results either and those who test know it up front. I don't blame my company, either. People lie, cheat, and steal. I've had people try to take tests for others, lie about their identity, use other people's resumes to obtain testing rights, etc.

It's disappointing that this is the population we have to choose from. No wonder work is going overseas. It's worth trying it out since what we seem to be finding here are such underqualified, unskilled labor who demand so much and then refuse to do certain shifts, certain worktypes, certain dictators, etc.

I think the MT field is basically getting a slap in the face for everyone taking for granted the privileges and good times we had. Reality is setting in and nobody likes it.

Why, if you have master's degree, etc.
are you doing transcription? Hmm, let me guess- so you can stay home with the kids?
Congratulations on that! I have considered going for my master's, too,
but I am worried if this is the right time especially in the area I live. Good luck to you :)
I am 40 and just started working on a master's degree and
a certificate in medical coding at the same time. I plan to get my doctorate degree also. It is never too late to learn. Go for it!
Hafta laff -- SM thinks she's quite the master of sarcasm.

Webmedx fits that bill, great company, great benefits, great pay and always on time. NM

Congrats!!
Figured I'd say it.
congrats
thank you very much!!!!!!!
Congrats! :) I wish they had at least NM

let me know whether or not I passed the test or that they filled the position already!  Oh well, I suppose it was good experience! :)

The good new is, I was offered a position with 2 other companies (Echo and The Word Pros) and was able to accept both as The Word Pros is a p.r.n. position (sort of like a temp agency--you take work only if you want to).

I hope you love it at PMSI!

Just Me

Congrats.
Good luck in your new adventure.
Congrats
You must have a wonderful account with a wonderful platform.  Can't be MediTech, is it?  You were lucky to get a good account with good dictators and easy platform.  Right place at the right time.  Think of the money you will be raking in:)
Congrats!
Been there for a month and i love it. I have plenty of work and everyone has been very helpful as I learn the accounts, etc. They expect a lot but they give a lot too! Good luck and welcome!
Congrats!!!!
Would you mind e-mailing me with any info that you've been given. I'm not to that stage yet so until I get to talk with them some more I'm flying blind :(

Congrats to you!!!
I like to post non-critical questions on here as well. I hate to bug my supervisor unless I have to. I posted a question Sunday and got rude comments because of it. At the time, I didn't have my paperwork to look up an answer. I don't think there is anything wrong with asking questions here. That is what this board is for. I have asked my supervisor a ton of questions today and got very quick responses. I think people like to post rude comments because they either have nothing better to do or are just miserable in life. Who knows, maybe they hate their job and resent us for going after a better one. Anyway, post away. I don't mind answering anybody's questions if I know the answer and I definitely appreciate the answers I get on here! :)
Congrats!
Congratulations on the job!! Let us know how you feel WHEN YOU QUIT THIS ONE! LOL. Years ago, I was a regional manager for Transcend. They let me work my way up from at home Transcriptionist to QA to Transcription supervisor to Regional manager. At that time they were a great company to work for, especially since my local company was bought by them, and the transition was pretty good. I am not there now because I have kids and cannot travel anymore, plus I moved to a southern state where they did not have a presence then (no internet transcribing back then, only expensive long distance). If they are the same company as then, you should have a good career. Keep in touch with us, to let us know how it goes!
Congrats.........
for getting out of the Q!
Congrats! Let us know how you do!
nm
Congrats to you. Did you ask during sm

Congrats!!!
You're going to absolutely love working for MDI. No games, no hassles, great communication, and for the most part really decent dictators, too.

Congrats on getting on board... :-)
Congrats! sm
Do have any experience doing medical billing? I've been looking for July for a billing position to no avail. I have 33 years as an MT. Unfortunately I also live in a very rural, job-depressed area. Again congratulations and good luck!
Congrats to you!!!
See, good things always come to pass... and it has for you! Happy Holidays and congrats.
Congrats...
I believe you'll be very happy with your decision to go with MDI-MD. I just can't sing their praises loudly enough.

Welcome aboard :D
Congrats
Too bad some unhappy MTs have to hit the Haterade so hard!!  You go, girlies!!!  Congrats....Gotta make the money!
Congrats to both of you
.........
Congrats!
You are going to love it...welcome aboard! Sounds like you may well be on the account I'm on. Will you be on the Escription platform? If you're on the account I'm on, I think you'll enjoy it.

Congrats again :-)
Congrats!
You'll love it here, I promise!
Congrats
Congratulations and welcome to the Keystrokes family. They are wonderful to work with and for. I am sure you will enjoy working with them.
Congrats
Nothing to add, but I just accepted a position also. I start on the 18th, hopefully. I was told 12,000 lines per pay period minimum, but I am pretty sure we still have to work the entire shift, even if we meet our lines. I can usually do 1200 lines in 4 hours, so I guess I will make some extra money (provided there is plenty of work!)

Good luck!

Congrats !! I'm happy for you. .nm

Wow! Awesome hop! Congrats! nm

Best of luck to you, congrats.

Congrats on your raise

I am happy to see someone get a raise for a change even though it should have been more that what they gave.

I currently work for Spheris and it seems nobody ever gets a raise no matter what.

Congrats on leaving. I'm not far behind you. nm

congrats and welcome to Keystrokes...
nm
Congrats on the new job, hope it is all that you wish sm
Wow! It is great to meet you. I was hired 2 weeks ago, and was the MT who wrote the post about Axolotl as a bright spot in dim MT Universe. I hope that this all works out for both of us! Funny thing is, did not even find the job from an ad. A while back I sent in my resume via their website and took a chance. I have over 25 years of hospital MT and ESL experience and love ops too, sounds like we have a lot in common. I hope the position is all you hope for and more. We may never meet in person, but it's nice to know you got the job and I have a new colleague!
Thanks for letting me know! Congrats to you too...
I wait for that knock on the door every day :). It is like Christmas is coming or something. Looking forward to starting. Thanks again for letting me know.
Congrats and welcome aboard
You're gonna love TT. Best place I've ever worked for.
Oooo, that's good! Congrats!!!! :)

Good for you - Congrats and Best of Luck! nm

Congrats! You'll love it!
I have been there a year, and it has been the best year ever for me! It's much better than any other MTSO I have ever worked for! I know you'll love it! Welcome!
congrats I applied for KS today s/m

I tried to paste my resume on their website but couldn't, so I just emailed it to the HR dept and put MT position in the subject line. Did you have any problem with this?

Also, I see people saying about not having to punch a time clock. Do you work when you want and just have a minimum quota to meet or do you have to give them a schedule?

Congrats. I'm sure they were thrilled to see your resume come their way!! nm
