TransTech New Hires - how long for a response?

Posted By: ndmt68 on 2008-01-11

I sent my resume to the jobs e-mail as I couldn't get the link on the website to work.  I didn't hear back so took the advice to call the office.  I was told that the recruiter probably would not respond to anyone who hadn't tested.  I took the test yesterday, resubmitted my resume, and left my number with the recruiter.

How long did it take you to get a response from TransTech?  At this point I have spent a lot of time applying and don't know how to tell busy from not interested.

Response to TransTech
You know what? You are really something else. How in the heck is a company supposed to know that work is going to run slow for a bit? ALL COMPANIES have slow periods, not JUST TransTech. Transtech has a lot of new accounts coming on and it is necessary to have these new people trained when these accounts start shortly. You need to learn to take the good with the bad on occasion. Overall TransTech has always had an abundance of work and during those times it is when people are complaining that they are being worked to death. A catch 22 if you ask me. Get over it or go somewhere else. I love it here and I have learned how to sock back some of those big bonuses I get when we are flooded with work for the times like this when the census is low in hospitals.
TransTech Response
Do anyone known if Transtech let you know if they received your resume or do you just hear from them if they want you to test? Thanks!
Tested with TT last week. Does anyone know how long it usually takes for them to response back.
I need a job...yesterday... I've been applying like crazy but cannot find anything worth taking.  I'm getting pretty desperate but still not enough to take 3 cpl for VR but check back next week LOL
How long does it take TransTech to get back to you?
I have nearly 10 years experience.  I sent them my resume over a week ago through their web site, have not heard a word.  Is this the norm for them?
How long has Transtech been in existence? sm

Is it an established company greater than 5 years or a conglomerate of several smaller companies....

I just came from their website and I'm interested.

TransTech - how long does it take to get up to speed? (sm)

Different platforms, etc. can cause a little learning lag, about how long does it take and how patient are they as you build up production?

How long does it take TransTech to respond to
..
How long before you hear from TransTech?

If Transtech is interested in your resume, how long does it typically take to hear from them?

Transtech MTs, who long after you get hired does it
take to get your paper work.  I accepted a position last week and still have not received it.  Just wondering
How long does TransTech take to get back to you if you apply
It says a week or so on their site.  I am assuming if you don't hear from them in that time frame they are not interested?
Transtech....how long of a wait for insurance?

Question for long-term TransTech Transcriptionists

I have read so many wonderful things about this company, but no one seems to talk about cpl.  I know what they offered me is about average for nationals, but I also was told they do not give raises.  Is this really true.  Does that mean if you are an excellent transcriptionist, and more reliable than normal, they would never give you a raise?  That doesn't sound good to me.  Would anyone care to say if they have gotten a raise while working there.

Your help is much appreciated.

You must not have been with Transtech long enough to see the lack of work periods. nm

No problem :) No matter how long, it is too long for me - I am broke the day after payday. Kids wi
do that to you!

I know that they have worked very hard to make sure that checks are never late and I can say that in the past two years, I have had one problem (2 days late) and in the past 18 months, they have all been on payday and perfect.

I know that there are a lot of hard feelings in MT in general. I also know firsthand (and I am not mgmt) how hard KS has worked to get things going good.

I would not want to walk in an MTSO's shoes for any amount of money, but that's just me. I like to finish my work for the day, forget about work when not working and get paid on payday. I never want the other things that go with mgmt or owning a company of any kind :)
They definitely rip you off with your line count. Figured this out long ago and quit long ago

What really sucks is that I looked for a LONG, long time -sm
before joining DRC - wanted a highly reputable, not-too-big co. that was LOCAL, and that treated its MTs humanely. I'm very happy with DRC & had planned to stay with them permanently.
PLEASE go with co. who only hires from USA!!!!
Transolutions only hires in USA!!! MQ hires anybody who they can screw.

New hires
They probably are hiring extra expecting that all might not stay, or that some won't work out.
I'm one of those new hires, and...
I hope that all the TT questions on this board are not an indication of how difficult it is to communicate with supes at TT.  What I usually do if I have non-critical questions, especially for a new employer or in any situation where I know more questions will come up over time, is I just write them down and when I have 3 or 4 I'll send off an email.  Keeps me from bombarding someone with emails when every hour another little oh what about.... pops into my mind.
Wonder why no hires in NY, CA and MO? (sm)
Live in Missouri and have never seen anything that restricted us before.
Any new hires for MDI ...sm
Any new hires completed training?  Is there enough work on your primary to keep you busy?  What has your experience been after completing your 5 reports or 20 minutes of dictation?  Please share new hires or current employees?  Thanks.
yes, new hires
do work 1 wkend day every week.

Older/previous hires only had/have to do 2 wk-end days a month.

they have a number of accounts, and i am sure they could accommodate your preference if you are fortunate enough to be hired. Very good place to work, in my opinion!!
The new hires were either CM hires (for those sm
weird schedules like Wed-Sun 2nd shift) or for the new Enterprise account that had to hire the already-existing in house MTs; those hospitals MTs came along with the package and are now Webmedx MTs. Not new hires in the sense you were meaning.
Long, long history of not paying...and
similar posts have been made here in the past few months. Everyone thinks they will be different, and then they end up coming back here to warn others that they don't pay.
Amphion hires PT. sm

You set your own schedule; weekends/nights only if you want it in your schedule.  Always have work.  Good pay, good accounts, good people.

I am looking for a company that hires ICs.

JLG hires IC's and has a current ad
Good place!
I would have to say the MTs my company hires--sm

are for the most part unable to do acute care.  Most of them seem to be from really small hospitals/doctor offices and have never been exposed to a wide variety of drugs, surgical procedures, therapies, you name it.  Most of them are also not interested in learning anything, they just want to type and get paid and have me do their hard work for them.

Who still hires SE status?

Who hires trainees?
I know this has probably been asked before, but does anyone know of companies that hire trainees?  I have a friend with some medical experience who wants to train on the job.
Any company that hires PT for 500 lph....sm
I am looking for extra work but can only commit to no more than 500 lines a day, sometimes less and allow me work any time as long as I do the lines.  I some times have slow mornings and sometimes I have slow afternoons, depending on what doctor's are on and would like to be able to fill my time in between with some extra work.
Hires newbies
Allegiant and Sound Medical Transcription.  Both are very nice owners/companies to work for/with.  Good luck!
Let them train all their new hires on
My problem is that I cannot see why should I be moved to another account when my account is going to the new MT's they keep training?  Problem lies in overhiring and not enough accounts!
training new hires??
so you aren't paid hourly?

MDI-MD - Recent Hires

Just curious - if you had a phone interview, was the recruiter on time to call you? I had one scheduled but haven't received any contact.

Anyone else with this experience?

This is what they are currently requiring for new hires...SM
work shift either Sun-Thu or Tue-Sat, 700 lines each of those 5 days. Have to work a weekend day every week, not just twice a month like older requirements for existing employees.
Now I see TT only hires the best spellers.
