VR should be addressed! sm

Posted By: Anon on 2009-01-09
In Reply to: I think VR should be defined, too, as more and more work... - ndmt

Some companies are offering up only 4 cpl for VR acute care. This is a disgrace! I will not work for 4 cpl, bottom line! I will be on my way to a new career path if this is the continued trend. I have invested literally thousands on my career, equipment, books, and miscellaneous over the last very many years in this field. If acute care is so easy to edit that it's only worth 4 cpl, then approach someone off the street to do it!

I agree with the USMLSU poll.

I would like to see this addressed as well
I do just fine with Extext working for another company, but I still wonder what was going on when I worked there. I felt like I worked so hard and got few pennies to show for it. Most companies do not pay for headers or footers but this goes beyond that.
She addressed that in the post
I think she sounded right on with her opinion.  She also has a great attitude.  VR is going to stay and we need to embrace it or get another career.
Exactly. It was a problem and it is being addressed. (sm)
People are always looking for something bad.
While I am not one you addressed this post to, I can tell you my job is
IC and with my own hospital client(s), and like I stated in my post, it is at a much higher line rate than 8 or 9 cpl.

Before having my own client(s), I can tell you that the ability to make a good average hourly wage is definitely here in the MT field. I am not sure what difficulties you are having, but I worked for a national for a period of time at 10 cpl (gross line) and make tremendous money.

It can be done. I think it depends on the company, platform, account, and line rate though.

Just because you do not believe it, does not make it untrue.
This question was addressed with Administrator. (SM)
Job listings are written by the companies posting the listing. We do not define how they make their own listings.

If you feel uncomfortable sending a resume to an unidentified company, then you should not. Perhaps an e-mail to them asking for identification first.

Comment not addressed to you but to "whoa"
Sorry - thought I posted directly as a response to dial it back jack! I was not commenting to you at all - we are on the same side!!
That is also being addressed, also found in the email from 6/19. nm

I am pretty sure this subject has been addressed before, but don't think it got many responses, s
I'm asking again.  If you work for an employer/company that do not require you to work 30-40 hours per week, but require you to meet the minimum line requirement within a certain time-frame or window, would you please give the name.
Let's drop the subject. The issue has been addressed SM
by the company and resolved.
Again, this situation has been addressed and is not a problem anymore.

I was sent a gift card by mistake- addressed to my supervisor
I emailed my supervisor and she said sh ewas expecting a gift card in the mail and to mail it to her. I called the company... they said it was a mistake.. So, I am wondering, did only management get giftcards, or did all employees but me get a gift card. I happily mailed the card to my supervisor. I also sent my notice of resignation to Probity.
