Well then, maybe this is the problem

Yep, there are only 3 jobs downloaded at a time BUT if you look down at the bottom there's this little thing that says DT:??  If you've been doing this very long that will tell you whether or not there is likely to be plenty of work.  On this grouchy board, I might have known someone would have something to say about TT giving work to P/T MTs when F/T MTs don't have enough, etc, etc.  No one gives me anything.  I actually wonder sometimes if TT knows I exist except every other Friday when ye old check arrives in the bank on time and for the correct amount.

So lemme ask you grouches a question:  How many (without being asked) log on and check the time dictated on evenings, weekends and  holidays to help make management's job a little easier?

TransTech is not my first dog and pony show and I've worked in management myself (NOT for TT) and I will never work in management again.  Why?

1.  A large number of MTs will switch to their 2nd or 3rd account, or sign off completely, when the BAD dictators showed up leaving the accounts out of TAT.  Then they'll work like the devil is after them when the good ones are up.

2.  They'll squall like stuck pigs when there is no work but God forbid they be asked to pitch in and help when volumes are high.  Trust me, the hospital doesn't care that Dr. Joe Blow and his friends have played catch up because they have received suspension notices.  The MT company promised a certain TAT and there is no slack for them.

3.  MTs want their account and don't want to be switched around.

So before you grouches jump up and call me management,  I bet I haven't talked to management at TT 10 times in my 4 years.  Matter-of-fact, I'm not exactly sure what the hierachy is or who actually owns the company, I don't care.

All I know is I take responsibility for being the best employee I can be and that to me means going above and beyond.  I hired on to be a medical Transcriptionist and that means I will transcribe whatever they send me, good or bad and they can switch accounts on me 20 times a day, I don't care, it's all the same to me.  You are either an MT or you're not and if you are you can do anything.

Bottom line, if I consistently ran out of work, and by that I mean for several days or a week, I would be putting in a call to management (of whichever company I worked for and I HAVE done it with other companies) saying that I hired on to work so give me work to do.  If no work was forthcoming....well, I'd be waving to them in my rear view mirror!
