I have never seen an overflowing account....
maybe I'm on the wrong account!! Have yet to EVER see my account overflowing!! I can't imagine someone having to work 16 hours a day...WOW!!
Hang in there. There are 2 more accounts going up on there in the next 3 weeks. sm
I also know that the account that started on DocuScribe only started with the H&Ps. The other work types are following starting this coming week and will give a better mix.

There are also other accounts. Talk to the recruiter (can't say names on here) and let her know.

I am a lead and know that sometimes one person loves an account that another person hates and vice versa.

There are a lot of new accounts that have started, a few that were partial outsource that went to total and a few that are going to go to total. Pretty much anything you would want.

The HR person in the office told me that they will need to hire at least 400 more transcriptionists over the next 6 to 12 months, if not more.
Well it sounds like no work happens a lot at DSG. How are the accounts as far as decent accounts
and their QA.

Yes, I have backup accounts.  Yes, they are out of work, too.  So how many backups should I get and how many account specifics do I have to keep straight to make minimum wage here?  I understand summer slump, but this is bad, really, really bad!!!!

No work for weeks
No work for weeks, no work to make up, have 4 accounts.  Simple truth this company overhires and now I am stuck!  Unfortunately, I will have to move on.....Hey, I have an idea - Why not hire some more!
There is no way I would work for anyone who did not pay me. If I get paid every 2 weeks, then..
the first time my check is more than a couple days late, they can forget it. You can bet they are getting paid by their clients. Who do they think does the work. The MTs should be paid above all else. I would give them a date that they had to "overnight" by check by or I'd file a company with a labor board, BBB, anyone who will listen. These companies get away with it because no one stands up for themselves. I do the work that is asked of me and I expect to be paid one time. No one should except any less than that. Good luck to you and nail them right where they stand on this one!!
I have been there for a few weeks, run out of work often. Other than that, no complaints. NM

several of us will probably get warnings for not making line count this pay period. What amazes me is that they've got an ad out today. Makes me wonder if things are going to get worse before they get better.

I agree with the other poster. Futurenet is great! They are very respectable. A lot of working is going to SR now though. That is the only downfall I have for them. But they work with you on everything! If they offered benefits, which they don't, I don't think anyone could beat them whatsoever. Pay is ontime EVERY time! Excellent staff! I have been there for a little over 2 years and have thought about going other places ONLY for benefit purposes but I just can't! They are too good to leave! I will be with them as long as they will allow me to. Couldn't picture myself working for anyone else!

Yes, they offer I think 4 weeks at full pay or 8 weeks at half pay. Call the office
and talk to them about it. You wont lose your job. They aren't like that.
I think ill prescribe 75 mg of Effexor.. 2 weeks off of work...for everyone!

After seeing some of these posts, reading through many ads, and speaking with recruiters, and being knee deep in seeing some of the "mishandled, misappropriated, misguided, hypocritical, and profound blatant mistakes on reports, that are missed by QA, and mostly by some of these same Transcriptionist themselves, who are masticating
I have been with MQ Amherst now for 3 weeks and have continually run out of work. I know this has
been hashed out on here many times but my question is does anyone expect this problem to ever get resolved or should we simply expect to keep running out of work at Amherst forever. I know when they call me about the new pay plan and tell me it is incentive based I plan to tell them they better make sure we have work or their plan is a joke. What can I expect with this office and what can be done to correct it. I dont plan to have to work 8 accounts to get my lines in and have them QA me on accounts I have never done besides. If this problem is long standing and unlikely to be resolved it is time to either get out of that office or get out of MQ so I would like some good ideas and comments on this. We know it exists but what is the next step.
Why is OSi hiring new people when I have been out of work for 6 weeks?

I am statutory (or IC, whatever they are calling it now).  I have a main account and 2 -- count them 2 -- back up accounts.  I have been out/short of work for over 6 weeks.


Unless you are a full time employee, you get no benefits, no hourly, NOTHING.  I am amazed that they are hiring when they have people already trained and begging for work!!!


Don't they realize that it costs a WHOLE lot more in turnover to train a new employee than to keep an already-trained one happy?


I'm looking at other nationals now.  I've never been one to job hop, but I just can't take the time off any more!!!

Looks like I will be going to work in-house with an hourly wage. I love being home, but I can't afford to sit around and barley make a couple bucks a day. This is ridiculous! What's happening right now? Why are we all out of work. I have asked for more accounts, but low volumes across the board...

Thanksgiving is weeks away, yet no work on TransTech this morning. sm
I have 2 accounts, with no work on either.  I used to think they cared, but now I am not so sure. If there is no work now, I have to think the closer it gets to Thanksgiving, it will really be awful. 
Why is transcend advertising for help. No work is the story for 3 or 4 weeks.

In 2+ years, never been so low in work, even with secondary accounts to try to go to. And now they advertise for more help?  Are we all supposed to go to part time?

You may be asked to invest in expensive equipment, likely to run out of work regularly and not have your calls returned when you try to contact them. They do pay well but the work is NOT there more than it is, so great pay doesn't mean much. They sell it to you great but they don't deliver.
I felt that exact same way and quit a job that was not work out..6 weeks and 30 applications sm

later I am a temporary employee at Walmart for 6.00/hr.  Still more than I was making at my production job but how humiliating.

vaction - quite a sweet deal ... while the rest of us are struggling with monumentous premiums (financing a newbie's love/sex life not my idea of fair play).  Many of us haven't gotten a single day of PTO, (thanks to the line requirement to meet when there is no/low work) and most of have been here much longer than 4 months.

I encountered slow to no work the weeks preceding Thanksgiving and several days after but the past
few days it has picked up. Can I ask which account/accounts your on? I think that makes a difference. Mine are part f the Escription platform. I honestly got really ticked a few weeks ago when we had no work and they were still hiring. For one, it's bad enough when we have to share some of our work with the Indians, but how fair it is to hire these poor people who think they are getting work where there is none.  It makes no sense to me either. Why not provide work to your current employees than drive them away by taking on too many new people.

Owner is great. I would recommend this company to anyone who wanted to be paid what they are worth and paid on time!
Concerned about the low work at WebMedx over the past few weeks. Typical for this time of year?
I've not been through a summer with them before. My main account, which always had plenty of work and occasional overtime, has been low for well over a month now. I have 2 backup accounts that are low as well. In fact, all my STM's accounts are very low volume. In all the years I've transcribed, I've never had this problem in August. It worries me more perhaps since I'm ex-MQ and consistent low work was a signal of a major downhill turn for that company. Thanks.
I have 4 accounts, doing all work types, and I usually have enough work but this is the slow time of
year so we are scrambling a little for lines.  Easy platform, paychecks DD, always on time.

There is a ton of work, some accounts have

more than others.   I've been on OT pretty much every day the past 3 weeks.  They've had several new accounts come on-line lately and I think they've had time to get the kinks worked out and see if they need to hire more and they do and are hiring. 


They are very aware of the slow platform and are working on it, but working on it and giving us a time frame is 2 different things.  I'm making about 2/3 of what I was at a previous company, as far as lines.


I absolutely hate the clocking in/out.


Benefits are good, but most of them you will never use - short/long-term disability, life insurance. 


I think they have a good incentive program, but with the slow platform doubtful I'll get enough lines for anything over first tier if that.   I do get shift differential because I work over 2 shifts.


I think they are a good company, there is good IT support and some STMs are great.  I haven't had any issues with QA at all. 


If they get the platform issues I'd be 99% satisfied. 


 


 


My TT accounts have work
I work 2nd shift and have had plenty of work thus far. Had 1 slow night about 3 weeks ago.
Yes there is work. There are at least 2 accounts

that are on OT pretty much every day, but I asked to work on one of those accounts and was told that I could work on them as a secondary account. 


I had 3 accounts.  I still was only able to get about 15 hours in a week and that was trying to work 7 days a week and sitting in front of the computer for 12+ hours some days checking for work about every 5 minutes to see if I could get a report. 


If you look on the backlog report you see an awful lot of 0 going down the page.

I'm having a really hard time believing your post at all...but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and make the following suggestions:


1).  Our supe is great - and she will work with you to help change your situation.  Have you spoken to her about this?  What was her response?


2).  Are you only trained on 1 account?  Supe has recently offered to train people on more accounts - have you taken her up on it?  There are several accounts that have OT approved until further notice on the company backlogs page (they have been that way for a couple months now) - have you asked to train on them?


3).  Are you willing to change your hours/days?  I had a problem when I first started, but I was willing to change my days off and scheduled hours so that there would consistently be work for me.  Its all about client needs and workflow.


4).  You work a 12 hour window like the rest of us, right?  So if you work 6am-6pm you have 12 hours a day to try to work; you could log out for an hour if you're out of work, go do something else, then come back in a while and try again.  Do you only try to work the first 8 hours of that window?


5).  On the few occasions I ran out of work when I was a newbie, the supe told me I could come in on my days off and make up the difference.  Have you asked her about that?


I maybe can understand why you would have a problem THIS weekend - they offered us a bonus incentive of a $25 Walmart gift card for each OT hour worked (sounds like TAT issues and/or understaffing to me!!!).  If a lot of people chose to take advantage of that during your shift, they might have taken most of your work, but when the work dried up, they would go away and the work would build back up. That happened to me a couple of times this weekend on my primary, but there was still plenty of work on my secondaries.  BTW I work nights.


Feel free to email me privately regarding which accounts I work.  Something is not right here, because I've been working all the OT I can handle, and I could at least tell you where and when that is.  But really, talk to our Supe, she's not the kind of person to let you stay in this situation if she's made aware of it.

very, very, very slow.  I have to work an incredible amount of hours to meet my full time obligation. Sorry I accepted the position.

Out of work again. 3 accounts. What's up? (sm)

I followed the thread about losing a big account yesterday, but this low work has been going on since the middle of May.  The last I knew there were new big accounts coming on, don't know when, but can't be soon enough for me. 


I am trying not to panic, but I had quit my PT job (I know - stupid) and this is my only income right now. 


Have been doing MT for over 25 years and rolled with the ups and downs, but this is not a normal time of year for it to be this low for this long. 


I love the company and hope to stick it out, so far I am able to flex around and get my lines in but I feel guilty knowing this is negatively impacting someone else. 


I am thinking I better be looking for a part time gig to supplement.  Good luck to us all.

I too love MDI but love to eat and have a roof over my head too. Working 10+ hours a day now to get what I was able to get in 5-6. Am sitting at my computer like a little buzzard just grabbing whatever job comes along and they are few and far between.
