I didn't even apply, but he/she was SM
on the Job Seekers board having a little tantrum and wanting to throw all the resumes in the trash...and then went on to say that some of them were fake.
I didn't apply with them, but the one thing I know is.sm
As many MTs are out looking for *a* job, let alone a 2nd job, it's best to contact the company with whom you have applied in about a week after initial contact if you haven't heard from them. I have been looking, and the common complaint amongst recruiters right now is how busy they are with all the resumes and applications they are getting.
Didn't say "don't apply here." SM.
I have been an MT for many years and unfortunately run out of work much more often than I should at Webmedx. Much more often. I think it is a great company. Love it. That said, they clearly overhire. It is a fact.
What would be the next best company to apply to then?
Thanks.
I would not apply to any company
They're probably offshore.
Apply to a company looking for an IC,
x
I would never even apply at a company with
the word GLOBAL in their name... That screams INDIA to me. I have over 15 yrs experience, and I won't work for a company who offshores our work.
If this is your company, I'd rather starve than apply there
x
Seems more of a reason NOT to apply at this particular company.... nm
.
Was this company out of St Louis. Wondering if it is the one I know.
:+
Just wondering if this company starts with a T nm
xxxx
I am wondering if OSI is a good company. Has anyone ever worked for them?

Any info would be appreciated

wondering if you would e-mail me the name of the company you're with and TIA. nm
nm
OmniScribe.....has anyone heard of this company? Just wondering because they
offered to test me.  Thanks
Wondering if anyone has heard or worked for this company

I was working for mRecords and in May started noticing my 'account' was gone. Contacted my supervisor & was told that was the fact. Asked for another one (I'm only part-time), agreed to work for one that was offered, and then never heard back!

I've emailed a couple of times without any response.  I've sort of given up on them, but just wondered if they are still out there.

Does anyone know?

They may have a sister company. Or the recruiter where you DID apply does the job for svl places at

If you're not afraid to hide, then tell us who you are so we DON'T apply to your company!!!!

AND, if you don't NEED us for anything, then why are you HERE!!  Go away!

Several months ago a company called Charts in Time (CIT) hired some MTs off here. Just wondering how
it turned out for those MTs as I turned it down and wondered if I should have taken the job. Thanks.
Didn't even know there was a company by that name sm
Couldn't even find a website for them.
Well you probably didn't reply to the company
but to the scam artists.

BEST ADVICE is not to respond - you don't owe them one if you didn't apply and their contacting you in the manner they did is all you need to know something is fishy
Yes it is, but they didn't state the name of the company
.
I didn't say the company was reputable. (sm)

It's one of the larger companies that used to be the apple of MTStars' eye until it started to offshore.  They would vigorously defend this company, and now -- nothing.

It's a big company, so I guess in some people's eyes, it's reputable.  When it was offered to me, I thought it was disgusting, and to me, the company lost all credibility.

They hired another person to work on my account (a former employee of the customer), and when they told me I typed too fast for the account and that the new person wasn't getting many jobs, I finally had it and quit, never looked back and never regretted it.

I found a much better, much smaller company that I believe wouldn't tolerate this kind of behavior.  Bigger isn't always better.

Yes, so that those who didn't see the post on the Company board may see it on the
Main board.  What's wrong with that?  Isn't that ok to do?
Been there. My company didn't treat me horribly
but because I could do the very worst ESLs I got dumped on.  Work is assigned by the company and there isn't supposed to be cherry-picking, but there obviously was.  I could do the dictation, but it slowed me down considerably.  On top of the bad dictator it seemed the sound quality was also bad.  I would be stressed at the end of the day and end up with a headache.  If I were getting paid by the hour I would have still be a bit stressed, but not as much because I didn't have to worry about producing lines.  My MTSO has told me a couple of stories too.  I have looked for another position a couple of times, but every company that offered me a position didn't want to pay me what I was currently making, didn't allow me the flexibility that I have, didn't have the friendly platform that I currently have, and I had to be connected to the internet to work the whole time.  I like to get outside when the weather is nice and with my current job I download my work and then I can get off-line.  I can take my laptop outside and work.   I still read the job boards on occasion, but I have decided I can't do any better anywhere else, so I'll just accept whatever issues there are and deal with them.
boy i'd never work for a company that didn't pay for training
-- that ought to be illegal -- as long as you are working, ie, training, you should be paid!
didn't ask about your company, schedule or paycheck.

Hello other ex-Genie. YOG was a wonderful company indeed. I didn't know how good I had it. Those

A company sounds strange because you didn't pass their test? SM
I LIKE working for a company that puts quality over everything else.
The Indians didn't get a raise, but I'll bet the CEO of the phone company did!! nm
x
The company I worked for didn't offer direct deposit. nm
/
Didn't they partner up with an Indian company? Expect downhill from Dictaphone.
nm
I didn't take the posts as trashing the company, just people venting about no work. sm
I used to work for TT, and yes, they are wonderful people -- very caring and supportive -- but in order to get my lines in, I had to be VERY flexible, working on my days off, during times I wasn't scheduled, etc., and it gets old pretty quickly.  I personally didn't care for the e-mails calling me sweetie or telling me you rock, but that's just me.  I just want to be paid well and have plentiful work.  I do not know if they just overhire or what happens, but I finally left because I couldn't stand the feast or famine work flow there.
Didn't you post this on 03/04/06 on both the Company Board and the Hospital/Clinic MT Board?

.

I didn't say I didn't care, I just don't understand
why the sudden outrage over HL offshoring.
She didn't say they didn't offshore at all s/m
What she did say is that if the work needs to be done here, it stays here (paraphrased a bit, I think).

That is not lying and saying that they don't offshore work, as was stated by another poster above, but saying that if the client wants the work to stay in the US, they will keep it here. Sheesh.
APPLY ...
1) Explain what you need in schedule; I'm sure you'll get it.

2) IF it is brought up, explain. I'm sure you'll be fine with that!

why don't YOU apply with OSI?
nm
Please don't apply because ...sm
you can't even spell why ruin a good thing for the rest of us?   As far as ads being posted well duh - the company is growing with large accounts being added continuously.  Nothing wrong with new business!!!
I would apply for another job
One that gets good comments AND takes out taxes :-)

BTW, that's what I did and start the first of the year, couldn't be happier!
Don't apply there then, what can I tell you.
xx
Again if that is so, why would you need to apply at DSG?
You come on here knocking them down for not responding to your holey (misspelled on purpose) self.
Why do I need to apply? No, I don't need
for any amount of money.
Please - where did you apply?
Please, where did you apply?  Yes, I do have a letter of recommendation from her.  I've got 3 kids to support on my own, and I feel so discouraged.
How do I apply?
Do they have a website? Thanks!
MW MTS, apply to
TransTech..they are growing and wonderful to work for, and do not outsource to India.
Does that apply to ICs too?
nm
Thanks! I will apply and see what happens. NM

Did you apply for the
prn ad?
Apply at TT
with TT112
I always look, never apply.

But there are still a lot of hits and I imagine a lot of serious lookers from the posts here.

So how do you apply at MDI?
I visited their website but saw no place to apply. How do I go about doing this?
