any kind.  The new management is so cheap.  Hope they aren't counting on the accolades of employee of the year this year.  They certainly are not that, and not even in the top ratings.  Everything changed this year.  And not for the better.

Geez... the "merger" was three years ago and I still got my gift card (today!)
Thank you Transcend - I love working there.

On another note though, isn't it amazing how people can come here and complain about a gift?? Wow.

Nothing from Transcend, although I heard others got gift cards or at least a card. I've worked th
several years so if it was just a case of being forgotten that is still pretty pathetic. How do you forget your employees, especially when you get junk bulk mail from there regarding nothing that involves you..but at Christmas you were forgotten. Oh well, I have work and for that I am grateful so I'll be nice...
Wow. Do you at least get a card or any acknowledgment you exist???

how about gift certificate
for a spa/massage/parafin hand treatment/ something like that to soothe our aches and pains. A custom deluxe office chair or keyboard. I could go on, but I'm sure you don't want to hear my wish list.
E-gift certificate from
To use at various stores online...Merry Christmas
UPDATE: CARD AND GIFT CARD ARRIVED TODAY FROM TRANSCEND. USPS STINKS...
It tooks what looks like over 2 weeks to get there. It could have been shipped to a third world country is that much time. Shame on USPS. I guess you get what you pay for..even at 41 cents.Yikes. Sorry to my employer.
Transcend always sends a nice handwritten card and a gift card
I just got my card today, and it is still five days before Christmas.

You really cannot please all the people all of the time, even when it comes to gift giving. I am so surprised at some of these comments.

Merry Christmas to all!
Our gift card and Christmas card were appreciated.. Check this out......

I have only worked for MDI a few months, but I can tell you they appreciate their MTs. Compared to the doctor I have worked for 9 years for and whom USED to give me a $1000 bonus, but this year.. NOTHING.. I had been working both jobs, but that made me decide to tell the doctor to take a hike and devote all my time to MDI.. where I'm appreciated...

I received a Christmas card and a gift card 2

I appreciated the Christmas card and gift card..
I don't feel that the MDI/Transcend plays favorites at Christmas.  I appreciated the thoughtfulness of the signed Christmas card and gift card.  Also, I work the holidays when someone on my team wants the day off. This is a good company to work for.  I agree with the above posts--if you're not happy, there are other companies who may suit you better.  Happy Holidays to all!
I got a card and a gift card They are always very good
to us. Transcend has nothing to do with it.

Got a card but no bonus or gift card.

I think a gift card (sm)
Wal*Mart, Amazon.com, something like that.  It's the thought that counts.  It's nice to feel appreciated!
I get $100 gift card from my doc plus
a wonderful card thanking me for all the hard work I do all year round, and my company sends a $25 gift check.
Gift card
Hey, maybe for someone an extra $25 would come in handy. We do not know each others situations. The one thing I do know is the amount of income lost this year as compared with the past.

No, the poster was saying that it would be nice to be recognized, that we are not computers placing words into computers, that there is actually someone somewhere making sure that the work is accurate, on time, and profitable. None of us have our collective hands out..
I got a card and a gift.. as did everyone I spoke to
You may want to wait a few days and take that back.
Did you send her a card or a gift? nm

I got a gift card from Transcend!
I am very happy about thank and thankful for a great job!
Transcend gift card
I got my gift card from Transcend today too.  Its not a ton of money but every year they send us one.  It is nice to be remembered.
We usually get a gift card for Walmart.. Last year,
I donated mine to a single mom whose 10-year-old was not going to get a Christmas because mom couldn't afford it. I've been a single mom so my heart went out to her and I got a bunch of people to donate items i.e. tree, ornaments etc.. food, gifts etc. I felt good about it and I know my employer would have felt good about me donating it to a family in need.

I was sent a gift card by mistake- addressed to my supervisor
I emailed my supervisor and she said sh ewas expecting a gift card in the mail and to mail it to her. I called the company... they said it was a mistake.. So, I am wondering, did only management get giftcards, or did all employees but me get a gift card. I happily mailed the card to my supervisor. I also sent my notice of resignation to Probity.
Who is expecting a bonus/card/gift from employer this year or (sm)

plans to send card/gift/etc.  to their employer?

I thought a card to my supervisor (if she is still there) from MQ would be appropriate.  Actually that is the only person I have contact with anymore.  For all the years I have worked at MQ, someone, either supervisor/area manager, etc. has sent a card.  Hope it continues.  Miss the personal touch of working in an office sometimes.

My second job I don't know exactly how many are in the office, but thought sending a group food type gift if shipping alone isn't a killer.  Haven't been with them long, but they are so sweet, I bet they also send out cards and bet they are personally signed and not just printed.

TransTech sent an Amex gift cheque and a lovely card signed by all the office staff.
Very thoughtful and a nice surprise. I love these people.
That new time card
Excel - It's only 5 lines and no empty fields to put anything in? My coworker can't even open it, doesn't have Excel on her computer. Anybody got an answer?
Did my time card too, takes a while. (sm)
I have been keeping my logs of job numbers and in and out times/total lines in a spiral notebook and then transferring them to a template for time cards on the computer and attaching to E-mail. There has to be a simplier way. I spent 45 minutes this morning getting this all done and totalled up.

All suggestions welcome.
TT time card question - how precise? (sm)

Log sheet has several in and out slots, but what do you do for example a telephone call from the school that took 10 minutes. You were in the middle of a report so you couldn't sign off, do you note this too as well as lunch breaks or longer breaks?  Don't want my time sheet to show I worked more than 8 hours when I actually didn't.

How do you all do it?

The time card is a legal record for 40/80 hours
You record your shift hours whether you work 7 hours or 9 hours. You aren't going to get paid OT if you work 9 hours but spend only 6-7 hours or so actually working if you were out of work. If you work extra and OT is not approved you would not put it on your timecard. So just put your regular shift hours no matter when you work unless you can't work at all that day. Alot of the time I have worked 9-10 hours but just put 8-4. I missed a day when my husband had surgery so I obviously did not record my shift that day but I worked on my day off and entered the hours on my day off - but usually the thing to do is enter your shift 8-4 or whatever it is and don't worry about all the in's and out's. That's not necessary for the timecard.
If you timed in for WEbinar let them know so they can take it off time card. Doesn't that beat a

christmas acknowledgment

Hey....our bullentin had Christmas trees on it....what more do you want? :)

I worked for a temp agency for 3 years..LOVED it. Just worked. No counts, no hassels, GREAT pay..
No benefits at the time.  I even learned pathology while temping (8 months on that assigment).  I loved the variety, the ability to say I'm not available such and such time.  I'd do it again in a heartbeat if I didn't need benefits.
It worked! Latest suggestion from DJ's email worked. nm

Christmas gift appreciated, but turns out not to be a gift if there is no work the day after

Christmas Day.  Yes, it was $25.00 (twenty-five).  I lost that much this morning when there was NO WORK.  I had so hoped to have a good paycheck this pay period, and was working very hard to have one -- as I need the money SO BAD.

I was appreciative of the $25, rather than some kind of novelty advertising token with company logo on it, like some MTSO's would give to a prospective client, etc.  Oh, yes, I made very good use of the $25.  I took it and paid my high-speed internet bill, a necessary tool for working my job --  which the $25 was very much short of paying that phone charge.

THANK YOU TT for the $25.

I worked on site for many years. I've been doing this for 10 years... sm
I've worked on site, at home, for small MTSOs, for nationals, for hospitals. I've been paid per line, per minute, and per hour. I've been an MT and a QA. I have ALWAYS worked weekends and ALWAYS worked nights for the shift differential because MTs can't survive on 6 or 7 cents a line. At least I can't and I type 105 wpm.

I've BEEN dedicated from day 1, sister, so you are barking up the wrong tree.
Many new MTs think because they have a certificate they
are CMTs, not so.   I think you have to have at least 1 year, maybe 2 years of experience before you can even take the CMT exam.
TransTech MT week gift??? OR just low work gift??

Have any of  you rec'd anything from TT for MT week gift yet?

If your college put MD on your certificate SM
would you be able to say you are a doctor?  AAMT owns the certified medical Transcriptionist designation and unless you take and pass that test you are not certified.
I'm lookin for part-time work (about 3-4 hrs daily) after 13 years of full-time, anyone know of a
company that is hiring flexible part-time?  I'm starting a career in real estate but don't want to totally quit transcription, but I think most places require 25 hours a week and I cant work weekends, as real estate sales are the biggest on the weekend with open houses and people off work to shows homes to.  If you know of a place I'd sure appreciate the info.  Thanks!
Same here. 20+ years, just got the email.
Their loss. I even emailed back asking about my test results and of course no reply as of yet. According to the QA person I spoke to Friday I did extremely well on the testing and she was sure they would be offering me a position. Guess not!
If anybody has worked there previously can you please email me? sm
This would fit me well, but I have read a few negative remarks.
ANYONE HERE WORKED FOR CC TRANSCRIPTION? EMAIL ME PLEASE
I would like to speak with MTs who have worked for her in the past.
I worked under her too and she sent an email that she stepped down from management, which I think sm
means that she was demoted. Thank goodness. Those emails and calls were way too much. Now I am on the same account and do not get bothered, and it seems as though it is running better. We are definitely in better TAT time. There was a request last week for weekend help but with holiday pay as incentive (since it is 1-1/2 times our normal rates, it is the same as overtime pay) so I was happy to help. I could not on Sunday, but was not hassled.

If it was the same lead, she is no longer lead. WOO HOO!!
I could email them, but I would rather talk to someone that is working for them or has worked for th
Of course, they are going to tell you all the positives. I would like to hear from someone that can give me their opinion, good or bad.

If you do not want to post on this board, you can email me.

Thanks.
I have never worked a weekend day. Please email with specific questions.

I worked for them about 3 years ago
The people were real sweet, but I couldn't pay my bills.  They have a funny pay scale and it changes after 3 months.  Wish you luck.
I have worked there for 2+ years sm
and am happy with the company.  They supply your computer for free, they help with education, everyone is helpful.  There was a slow time for a few months, but it has picked up now.  MT work always has slow times from time to time.  They have hospital accounts that one can work on if one runs out of work, which they pay more for MTs that can work acute care accounts as well as CMTs.
