Agree. I have said this before --- y'all whine about no work but when there's a ton of work
do you?  Just wondering.  I find this perceived hostility completely out of character for TT.

Where is it defined what this board is for?

You say it is for comments on companies which is a broad definition but certainly includes the scope of commenting on poor BUSINESS practices -

And IF there WAS only one disgruntled (perhaps actually WRONGED?) employee, then that person's comment(s) would not have been able to snowball.

The company in question should have, a long time ago, attempted to address the complaints against them, you know maybe a BEER summit (hey it worked for those not paying attention)! Instead they appear to have escalated the situation and now it may spiral out of control.

I SAY BOTH SIDES TAKE A DEEP BREATH AND CALL A BEER (OR WINE) SUMMITT.

The ONLY PARTIES WHO WILL WIN HERE are the lawyers!!!

I for one am making less now than I was a decade ago while working more hours. I used to get paid gross lines, headers, footers, headings, CCs, demos, everything. Now, I'm cheated out of all those things even though I still have to search and type them. I'm also paid half-rate for ASR which is so bad that it takes nearly the same amount of time as straight transcription. I've also been laid off because of sending entire accounts to India.

If you want to keep your head in the sand until, not caring what's happening to fellow MTs until it actually hurts you, then fine. But I think we have VERY GOOD REASON to be upset about the cuts in pay and the offshoring of our jobs.

She is talking about reports that are sent to QA looking like swiss cheese...
some MTs just think the QA gals will fix it for them and don't care what happens to the report or what kind of mistakes they have made...that is what the above poster is talking about...of course we are paid to fill in blanks and be a second set of ears but not to do incompetent MTs jobs for them...I am QA and MT so I understand both sides...if you are not an incompetent MT you should not take offense to this posting...

I love my job. I love the challenge and the sense of accomplishment. I feel proud of what Keystrokes has become because I have contributed to this success and growth.

Not all of our MTs are problematic, but life sometimes gets in the way of working, and as a KS manager, I help out where I can. This is my job, and I love it, but I realize that it is not for everyone. I am blessed to do something I love for a company I love to work for.


I have one suggestion..If there is no work. MOVE ON..why whine and complain on here EVERY day. I
agree with Jay. Maybe other people have OTHER things they would like to talk about besides being out of work every day at TransTech. I will say this.. with that much controversary and unhappy there, I would never work there and neither should you if your so miserable. Obviously, something is really wrong with that picture. Now, move on.. You can do better.

We're all in the same boat and we all have our opinions. I'm much more wary about this than M.E.D., but M.E.D. has as much a right to express an opinion as anyone else. We don't know what's going to happen but cutting each other down or calling on censoring each other is bullcrap.

First I'm guilty, then I'm defensive.

I'm neither.

I was supporting my TRUTH which is that CBAY employs US MTs. PERIOD.

I have no emotional incentive to add anything to the convos here other than simple truth.

Y'all rant and rave and stomp your feet and I have to wonder how many of you are truly, really GOOD MTs. I've done this job for 30+ years and have never lacked for work.

Why are you MTs???? This is not what MT stands for. Sorry. This is exactly why speech has come to be..yep..it is. There are no more EXCELLENT or even good transcriptionists and so they had to find a program that would cut down in their QA time, etc., for semi-quality reports with a handful of quality and I mean QUALITY transcriptionists. They are to be had no more....say what you want, I don't care. The TV, web sites, etc. advertising you can make 40 grand a year, etc. The schools are packed, nobody coming out with any knowledge. Well, here we are. Blast me all you want. Won't bother me a bit unless you give me your years of experience...

I wanted to share this with y'all

I had an appointment with my doctor this morning and he was ranting about the EMR they use in his group.  He said that he didn't get home last night until 10:30 because he was catching up on the EMR computer thing.  He says this is an ongoing problem and he felt worn out.   If it makes anyone feel any better, he is one who said that he wished they would go back to the little hand held dictating equipment which took only a couple of minutes instead of having to read questions like does your knee hurt? and typing in yes.  Do you have limited range of motion? and typing in yes. 


I really wonder if when the dust all settles if physicians are going to stand for these EMRs that take up so much of their valuable (and expensive) time???
