I don't think that will ever happen either.  Its similar to systems being used now, EMR, etc.  I just don't think that all patient care will ever be able to be just a canned push button here and there program. I know those involved, as in AAMT, want that more than we can imagine, but I don't think it will work at all in the long run.  I still believe 100% that our industry will be around forever, and I also have a bit of hope that we may actually seen a lot of improvement in the future. We have to pull together, though, and make that change happen, somehow.  When I was younger and was transcribing as the kids were toddling around, I had no time for thought. Just work and keeping the kids alive! LOL. I also believe in this industry enough that my kids are MTs as well, and making wages nearly the same as mine! How's that for odd!  But now that I am older and wiser - Ha - I am willing and able to invest my time on work and trying to improve our industry.  I have yet to write to the Union folks.  But I am willing to get involved and take the time to try to help us. We all deserve it. I'm doing it for my kids, and if that's what it took me to get me mad, then so be it!!  Bring it on, CEOs. LOL.  I have to go now.  I have to start work in 10 minutes, and I need my coffee.

Haven't heard of them in my 25 years as an MT.
Try a Google search and see what you come up with.
I have been an IC for 15 years, and I have never heard such a thing.
How would the IRS know what my schedule is or was. I just submit 1099's with income, take my write-off's, and pay my self employment tax. No where do I submit my scheduled hours or am I asked when filing my return.

Never heard of them. I've been in the industry 30 years.

I think they're new. Haven't heard of them in all my years of doing MT. nm

? wow, I've been here 8+years and never ONCE heard it. Wish i knew who your sm
STM was but we can't name names here.
I tested online but never heard from them..LOL..after 18 years (sm)
in the biz I guess I still don't know what I'm doing!
I also heard that 10 years ago when I graduated from my school - sm
I heard back then that the owner really jerks people around.  I have worked for a company out of my state since graduation.  That is all I know.  Maybe someone else will have some recent info.
Years ago I heard a quote I loved:

Second marriage is the triumph of optimism over experience.

That's sort of how I look at trying to make a go of it with Transcend, having been front row center at the fall of several very pleasant small companies that were gobbled up by mega MTSOs.  And I KNOW that if I give in, they will definitely not respect me in the morning.

I live in NY and sent resumes twice over the years. Never heard back. nm

20 years, never heard of a raise in production outside of payscale...
and we all know those went down due to supply and demand no longer in our favor.
I tested a couple of years back; never heard anything...
I emailed them for update; still never heard anything.
Puleeze! I heard that monthly for 2 years. I will believe it when I can count lines on it. nm

I've sent resumes twice over the years and never heard back. Have experience, too. nm

I've been working weekends for 7 years and haven't heard of this.

About 1-1/2 years ago I tested, aced it, heard back, only to be told with....sm
28 years of experience, formal college education, experience in all areas, all work types, etc., that I would be started at 6cpl, then if I got off probation at around 3 months, I could make 6.5 cpl, and then another six months later perhaps 7cpl. Set hours, you can guess, I passed this one over very QUICKLY, and also informed them nicely that if they wanted truly good, top-notch, first-rate MTs (as their ads say), then they really have to come up with a few more CPL, that what they were offering for someone with a perfect score and all the experience was actually an insult. They nicely said okay, let us know if you change your mind. Yea, right............
webmedix- I have 25 years exp., was offered low rate of pay. Heard it is a good company. nm

I havent heard a word about an incentive and I have worked there almost 2 years so I guess I didnt
qualify for whatever status you needed to get an incentive. Is this something you get every pay period if you meet a quota or just something quarterly. Just curious.
I've been a QA 15 years and I've never heard
of any company only paying for the actual Keystrokes of the blank. You would literally make less than minimum wage that way. Waaay less.
I've heard only positive things about them. So, I applied, but haven't heard a word. Maybe fl

I've only heard of Intellitype. Never heard of Teletype.

I talked to them today. They want 3 years in a hospital or 5 years combination sm
hospital and at home or clinic and at home. For radiology, they want 3 years full time radiology. I thought they were very nice and I have a few friends that work for them and are happy. The pay seems average to high for what I am seeing now. I think they are 0.08 per line or 1.08 for radiology. Beats what I will have with the new MQ program.

I worked on site for many years. I've been doing this for 10 years... sm
I've worked on site, at home, for small MTSOs, for nationals, for hospitals. I've been paid per line, per minute, and per hour. I've been an MT and a QA. I have ALWAYS worked weekends and ALWAYS worked nights for the shift differential because MTs can't survive on 6 or 7 cents a line. At least I can't and I type 105 wpm.

I've BEEN dedicated from day 1, sister, so you are barking up the wrong tree.
15,000 lines per pay period. 8 years with KS, 6 years on this account! nm
Not going anywhere else!
30 years - this WAS my career. The last few years you guys have ruined it.
You work 9-5? Big deal. I work more than you do. I bet I work harder too. Treat US with respect, lady!

Don't talk to us like that and don't expect us to kiss your feet. Kiss ours for a change!
See if you'll be producing more after 30 years of MT'ing and at 50+ years old.
I don't think so. My income increased every year also, until I reached age 50 and 30 years of MT'g, been downhill ever since.
It wasn't tough 5 years ago. Or 10 years ago, yet
How to you spell
G-R-E-E-D ???

All the shifty, dishonest, greedy pigs in this country belong in JAIL.
Did MTfor 10 years; QA for 2 years and now
doing editing of speech/voice recognition.  I find all three to be very different.  MT you start with a blank page or a template, QA you have the whole document and you need to give a good quick read and check for correct name, MRN, formatting, and all blanks, etc., and if you know the MT you do not necessarily need to give the whole document voice to typed - editing is a whole 'nother thing.  From what I have seen so far - you have a document and you cannot count on anything being correct - you need to change almost everything in some cases - which is more difficult than a blank sheet as there is a lot of deleting and it is confusing.  It can be helpful because some of the medical words are in there and some of the drugs can be correct - and although I have found easier on the wrists some days - still very, very difficult.  You must match exactly voice to type because you cannot count on anything to be correct - JMHO
I think it just boils down to years and years of
If you kick a dog often enough, it's going to not only turn on you, but other dogs as well. Even though I made more money as an in-house MT, our managers were the worst. All greedy, self-serving women who lied, cheated, and made their way up the management ladder by stepping on those of us who worked under them. They created hostility, distrust and ill will in the office by pitting MT against MT (I suppose they figured it would keep the MT's from turning on THEM!), and the suspicion it bred created a hostile workplace like no other. I finally couldn't take it anymore and quit to work at home, for less than half the money. I'm lucky - I have an employer that at least treats me well, even though the pay stinks. But from what I've read here, that isn't the norm at all. So it's little wonder so many at-home MT's are ready to chew someone's head off. They're tired of being lied-to, cheated on line counts, disrespected, and at the same time expected to produce more and more work, with little to no mistakes. So it's little wonder we're all a mite cranky.
Some of us have been at MDI for years and years. Why should we have to start all the way at the bot

I heard about it from my
supervisor. It is going to be adjusted according to what level you are, level 1, 2 or 3.
Me too. Never heard of them
They told me 6 to 6.5 cents per line. Yuck!
I heard.....
one of my doc's while dictating telling another she was leaving for Louisiana to help out. I'm sure it will pick up again soon.
What is this, never heard of it.
:
I heard that from an MT there, too, and...
...since I personally know the person who did the QA on on the account she referred to, I asked her and she said "no!"

Interestingly, the MT who claimed they outsourced a particular account did not even work in the same group.
I don't know. Never heard of them.
:)
I have heard a lot about this
company not paying its MTs many, many times.
Never heard of them. - nm

I heard about their QA and that
it is very difficult.  I heard they will fire you without warning for a low QA score.  That is just what I heard, not sure about it tho.
Never heard of one in GA
Where did you see info a a Sten-Tel in Georgia? I work for Sten-Tel in MA.
I have never heard of that and how does someone because a pet?

Honestly, how does this work? There is no way for them to preselect all of your work is there. I just do whatever comes up in my queue as I am sure everyone else does. I just happen to be on a very busy account and I am sure others feel the same way, work-wise. I do not understand the attitudes.

Where did you see their ad? Never heard of them before. nm
s
Heard about that
Yes, I just talked to someone I email who works for them and she said that also, about not getting down time pay if your QA is under 97%. I work limited part time so don't ever get down time.
I can't keep up with all the changes and inconsistencies. I don't like the new phone system either. Have to jump thru hoops to talk to someone and then you aren't really sure if you are talking to the right person. Yes, venting. That's okay. It is nice to have someone to talk to and see if others feel like you do. Do you think things will get better??
No, not heard anything.

Has anyone heard anything from
I am still owed money and haven't heard anything. Each time I call I get voicemail. Does anybody know if the company is still open?
from what i heard...
one of the hospitals on oahu outsourced to heartland (they released MTs of 30+ years), and i heard that the quality of the reports became real bad due to the people in heartland not having good english skills.
Me 2, heard nothing at all
must not need them too bad
Anyone heard of them?
Pay? ESL overload? Benefits? Enough work? Platform?
Has anyone heard of
this company, MedEDocs, or Bob's PCWerks?
From what I have heard, they have sm
several new accounts starting soon. They are growing and that is reason behind the ads.  I work there, love it and have no problems.  I don't plan on leaving.
Last I heard sm
It was Tues - Sat or Sun - Thurs schedules and 8 1/2 cents per line if you worked the 3rd shift. They wanted 40 hours per week full time, insurance kicked in after 90 days, and direct deposit. They send you a PC, I believe.
