Got a card but no bonus or gift card.

Our gift card and Christmas card were appreciated.. Check this out......

I have only worked for MDI a few months, but I can tell you they appreciate their MTs. Compared to the doctor I have worked for 9 years for and whom USED to give me a $1000 bonus, but this year.. NOTHING.. I had been working both jobs, but that made me decide to tell the doctor to take a hike and devote all my time to MDI.. where I'm appreciated...

Got a card and $50 bonus from Transtech last year.

Christmas bonus/card? Did anyone get anything this year?
I know there is still time but usually we get a card by now.
Acusis - Anybody get a Christmas bonus, card, etc.?

Nice Christmas card and $100 bonus.

I didn't get a Christmas bonus or even a card
glad to see how much we are appreciated by our company.
Who is expecting a bonus/card/gift from employer this year or (sm)

plans to send card/gift/etc.  to their employer?

I thought a card to my supervisor (if she is still there) from MQ would be appropriate.  Actually that is the only person I have contact with anymore.  For all the years I have worked at MQ, someone, either supervisor/area manager, etc. has sent a card.  Hope it continues.  Miss the personal touch of working in an office sometimes.

My second job I don't know exactly how many are in the office, but thought sending a group food type gift if shipping alone isn't a killer.  Haven't been with them long, but they are so sweet, I bet they also send out cards and bet they are personally signed and not just printed.

A card and $25 gift check from TransTech. It was

UPDATE: CARD AND GIFT CARD ARRIVED TODAY FROM TRANSCEND. USPS STINKS...
It tooks what looks like over 2 weeks to get there. It could have been shipped to a third world country is that much time. Shame on USPS. I guess you get what you pay for..even at 41 cents.Yikes. Sorry to my employer.
Transcend always sends a nice handwritten card and a gift card
I just got my card today, and it is still five days before Christmas.

You really cannot please all the people all of the time, even when it comes to gift giving. I am so surprised at some of these comments.

Merry Christmas to all!
I received a Christmas card and a gift card 2

I appreciated the Christmas card and gift card..
I don't feel that the MDI/Transcend plays favorites at Christmas.  I appreciated the thoughtfulness of the signed Christmas card and gift card.  Also, I work the holidays when someone on my team wants the day off. This is a good company to work for.  I agree with the above posts--if you're not happy, there are other companies who may suit you better.  Happy Holidays to all!
I got a card and a gift card They are always very good
to us. Transcend has nothing to do with it.

Christmas Bonus survey...Has anyone received a bonus yet this year or expect one?
We usually get one but haven't see it yet. Just curious if anyone has been so lucky as to get one.
Also, it is not only about a birthday bonus, any bonus...sm
I am curious to see the average amount of different bonuses out there.  Like anniversary, birthday, holiday, etc. bonuses.  Remember back when you were an employee and had to go out to work for a company, during your birthday, anniversaries, certain special times of the year everyone would send around a card, sign it, cook a meal or something nice for you...I am just wondering if any company does that for you even though you don't actually have to dress and go to work physically.  A simple poll...NOT something I will base on becoming an employee with...A SIMPLE POLL!  Thanks for everyone who gave some input about their actual company and not a criticism...Just a simple question ....
No bonus here - I make my own bonus sm
by working more and having a big fat paycheck!

I have learned, in life, not to expect so as to not be let down or disappointed. I apply that reasoning to all aspects of life, including my career.

Although I agree that sometimes it is nice to have others think of you with a gift or bonus, in reality, it is not the norm working as an IC.

Christmas has become so materialized and commercialized, it really is sad for those who don't have as much as others to feel such a financial stress and burden to buy or give gifts.

So, I say make your own bonus and work a little more, get some extra lines in, and that would be your bonus!

Happy Holidays to All!

Does background check include credit check?

Got a card
I got a card last week.  Don't know if that is all we are getting or not. WIll know when I get my paycheck.
NO ID or SS card
Only if you are an IC..  If you are NOT an employee, they do NOT need it.  They send you a 1099.
That's what the SS card is for!! And your sm
driver's license will verify your signatures and name.

Read up on it at SSA online.
I got a card from them. nm

LOL. It's not the same card. I kept the last three. sm
I know that a few years ago, they stopped sending gifts because no matter what they did, someone would complain. I like the cards and get paid well. I would rather make good money year round than lousy money plus a $25 gift!
No X-mas card -- nothing...sm
You know last year was my first year with this company.  I was surprised when I got a $50 bonus for X-mas last year.  This year I wasn't really expecting a bonus because of the economy and all.  I did, however, think they would have at least sent a X-mas card.  No card.  No nothing.  No email stating happy holidays.  Absolutely nothing.  I thought it was a little inconsiderate of them.  I wasn't expecting money.  I just thought they would send some type of holiday wish.
I got a card

I wasn't one of the ones complaining, but I did get a nice card from my employer.  I don't expect anything from my bosses.  When I do get something I am appreciative. The only thing I actually demand and expect from them is the appropriate paycheck on payday.

card
I received a beautiful card also from the owner of the company that I work PT for. I also work PT for a local store, only working one day a week, and received $100 bonus- which I was totally not expecting and was very grateful for! It is nice to receive a card just to let you know how much you are appreciated! Thanks AF!!!

Once again, I'll say that I believe no card is due to the sm

new, stupid, law that disallows wishing people a Merry Christmas.   I haven't received my usual card from the other company I work for, either.  This brings me to what I think is an accurate conclusion--we can blame the lawmakers for their new ridiculous law.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY.  HAPPY HANUKKAH.  HAPPY KWANZA.

So, put me in jail, already, lawmakers.

I always get a card and for other reasons other than
work reasons, not even gotten that one yet.
What about all the credit card

numbers you give them when you order something?

Last year, I tried to order a Dell keyboard.  I must have wound up on the phone with someone from India, and before I could give her my credit card number, she insisted on knowing whether it was a personal or business account.

At that point, I told her I didn't feel comfortable giving my information to her, and I hung up.  I will never order anything from Dell again because of this.  In fact, I've limited my on-line, over-the-phone purchases since this happened.

I agree with you that we should boycott, but maybe we shouldn't limit it to the healthcare industry.

Futurenet sent a card..nm

I think a gift card (sm)
Wal*Mart, Amazon.com, something like that.  It's the thought that counts.  It's nice to feel appreciated!
Christmas card
Thinking back over the years we used to get a corporate card but now I think we only get a card if our supervisor and/or manager decide to remember us, some do and some don't. Since I have had about 6 supers this year, I doubt it. Once I got a $5.00 gift certificate for Starbucks from my super, that was nice but the nearest Starbucks is 50 miles away as I live in South Georgia boondocks. Seeing that I haven't even had a cost of living raise with MQ for 7 years, I don't look for a CHRISTMAS BONUS!!!!! Do you work for MQ? Hope you get one if you don't.....
I get $100 gift card from my doc plus
a wonderful card thanking me for all the hard work I do all year round, and my company sends a $25 gift check.
Well, it seems to me if credit card
Most of the telephone reps have an accent!  So, I'm sure they're sitting their with my information too.  I'm sure they don't care about my last colonoscopy or Pap smear, but they sure do have my credit card number, social security number, and address.  What can someone do with your medical history?  Can they steal your identity with your medical history?  Let's be realistic here.
have you considered an air card?
Check with Sprint, Verizon and some of the other cell phone carriers. I got a USB air card through Sprint, and the connection is great!!! However, there are several factors that come into play with these, including how far you are from a cell phone tower, but at least with a USB card, you could utilize it with a laptop or a desktop as long as you have an available USB connection. Hope this helps.
I always send a card that says
something about Happy Holidays. That way everybody can feel included. A holiday can mean anything from Christmas to Hanukkah to just a holiday from work.
Gift card
Hey, maybe for someone an extra $25 would come in handy. We do not know each others situations. The one thing I do know is the amount of income lost this year as compared with the past.

No, the poster was saying that it would be nice to be recognized, that we are not computers placing words into computers, that there is actually someone somewhere making sure that the work is accurate, on time, and profitable. None of us have our collective hands out..
Did you send THEM a card?
It's a 2-way street.

Kind of piggy to expect a Christmas card/gift from someone. Do you treat your friends and family this way too?

Gifts/cards should be unsolicited.
Yes, I did send THEM a card....sm
I know it is a 2-way street. I don't think it is PIGGY to expect a card from someone you work for. I didn't know that people actually do not recognize people who work for them at the holiday season. I know now. My husband did not get a card or anything either, and we know these people well he works for. He has bent over backwards for these people. I was shocked.
Maybe I feel this way because my mom is a business owner and has NEVER not given her employees a gift, much less not even a card. It is inconsiderate. When someone makes you your money, you should show some consideration.
LOL on the card from the job you quit!

That new time card
Excel - It's only 5 lines and no empty fields to put anything in? My coworker can't even open it, doesn't have Excel on her computer. Anybody got an answer?
and pre-Transcend, we at least got a Christmas card and even
a very much appreciated gift certificate, but guess Transcend is too cheap to allow that for MDI
I got a card and a gift.. as did everyone I spoke to
You may want to wait a few days and take that back.
I got a nice card from them.... maybe yours is in the mail..!

Did you send her a card or a gift? nm

I'm so sick of the single mom card. sm
It does not matter what the majority demographic of a company's employees are. Single moms don't deserve a job any more than a single non-mom or a married mom or a married woman with no kids or any man. A company doesn't owe you more money/respect/benefits/leeway/slack just because you're a single mom. We all have issues, life problems, families, responsibilities. Using your single mom-ness as a crutch is the same as blaming others for your own misfortune.
Did my time card too, takes a while. (sm)
I have been keeping my logs of job numbers and in and out times/total lines in a spiral notebook and then transferring them to a template for time cards on the computer and attaching to E-mail. There has to be a simplier way. I spent 45 minutes this morning getting this all done and totalled up.

All suggestions welcome.
Wow. Do you at least get a card or any acknowledgment you exist???

Well, that won't help my credit card debt.
