Incentive Tiers
Why bother even having an incentive tier? I can't even get enough hours to get the lines to get the incentive pay rate!
My point was that I don't need three tiers of QA.......
I said no errors, I guess I should have been more specific LOL. My average is 99.8%. Pretty close to 100%, but close only counts in horseshoes. :)
No tiers at Axolotl
Axolotl does not measure MTs by tiers.  When you are hired,  your line rate is based on your experience and your ability to transcribe different worktypes.
There are 2 tiers-Silver & Gold sm
Silver is less, I have gold and I want to say it's about $75/pay period.  $500 deductible, low copays.  I believe 90 days is the waiting period but you'd have to ask the recruiter--I've been here a long time.
Tiers aren't inherently evil, though
It sounds like the Etrans thing is tiers based on production, which I think is a horrible idea. As for tiers based on work difficulty, I'm a believer in that. It's probably the only way of differentiation a rookie MT from a seasoned one, and with everyone starting at the same rate, it only seems right that typing United Nations Medical Center should pay more than typing Joe Smith's Coughs and Colds Clinic.
Post here from Jan. said start off at 6 cpl & go up to only 9 cpl thru weird tiers of difficulty.

If the off-shores produce "client-ready reports" why do you need THREE tiers of QA? nm

you only get incentive pay for
1200 on any given day. And it goes up fromthere, but stresses it is done on a DAY TO DAY basis, not pay period. So make them 8 hour days and cut out the short days. I know I don't like this either. You can make more on short days I think because your production stays up. But I know if I type 8 hours by hours 7 and 8 I am typing mush. Don'tthink of it as 8 hours if you are not full-time, think ofit as 1200 lines and over, however longit takes you to hit that.
As of Nov 1, the incentive on
straight MT has been done away with, no shift or weekend or holiday extras either, that is what I was told.
Incentive pay
Are there any companies out there that offer incentive pay?
incentive
I was told that anything over 14,000 lines every 2 wks qualifies for incentive. (Edited lines count 1/2 of transcribed lines).
I'd rather have the incentive and the (sm)
opportunity to make more.  Plus TT offers good bonuses, and also have the QA incentive.  I don't think the line rate difference make that much of a difference in $$.
incentive
It was for the editing platform. I believe it is a one time deal to encourage people to improve their hourly editing line.

Check the company forum, there are posts about it there.
TT needs to do away with that QA incentive
LOTS of sloppy work in the archives when you search for reports that never saw the light of day in QA because of that stupid incentive - so people guess to keep the blanks below the required to send to QA. I'm slow and don't send much work to QA but if I'm not sure of a word I would rather blank it than type something wrong.

I smell lawsuits big time. Just wait.

I have been at TT for over 2 years and have never been audited. I was off QA in 3 days when I started and I have never heard another word from them. You would think they could at least audit somebody once a year. They get you off QA ASAP and forget all about you.

Where is the quality in this company?
QA incentive
I can only speak for myself when I say I have never guessed to avoid sending a report to QA. If I am not sure, I blank it. I listen over and over to try my best to get it. I would not take the chance of putting something erroneous in a medical record intentionally; I wouldn't want errors in my own medical records.
PT Incentive?
I work PT for Webmedx and I find the incentives very hard to reach. I think they are more for full-timers, personally and would love to see some offer for us part-timers.
PT incentive
Are you required to work a weekend day or can you choose to if you want?  Are they pretty flexible in their PT work?
What is the incentive for OT with them? nm
x
No. I make incentive also.

holiday incentive pay
...is something I'd like to see
Incentive at Webmedx
There, the more lines you produce per hour, the higher your pay! Highest goes to 300 lph at 10.5 cents a line
DSG Incentive plan
Can someone tell me what the incentive plan is for DSG?
Incentive plan

I don't have the figures handy, but there are two incentives.

The first is getting a 0.25- 1.0 increase per line depending on how many lines you type in the two week period, again, I dont have the paper handy but I think the first incentive starts at 5001 per pay period.  Don't quote me on it.

The other one is a bonus given every four weeks if your line count is over a certain amount starting at $20 and going up, and I believe the first count you have to exceed is 10001 in a four week period

incentive plan
That is Transcend's incentive plan, and they do pay according to it. Unfortunately, their new system, BeyondTXT, is FULL of bugs and is down frequently. There is no pay for downtime. I have worked for them two different times. The first time was when they were in their phase of overhiring and constantly running out of work. They designed their own new system about a year ago, and it is crap. They cut everyone's pay in half, and most of the old employees quit because they couldn't make a living. This doesn't take into consideration their phenomenal management shifts. I will never, ever work for them again. Maybe you will have better luck than the 100s of those who have quit for the last time.
They have a very good incentive
plan, even better than MQs old incentive plan.
They don't pay production incentive?
The hospital I used to work for did. We had one gal who could type double what the rest of us could, so she got more pay. She used to work part-time for a national, too, because she could never find a national with benefits comparable to the hospital. I don't think you're going to find a national with decent benefits. You also run into their lousy platforms affecting production, low pay, demo screens, ESLs, poor sound quality, etc. I wish I had stayed at my hospital. I thought I could make more working for a national but I haven't been able to yet. Chalk that up to another stupid career decision on my part.
Ever think about paying incentive to
high producers who are accurate and send very little to QA? That would be a very fair way to handle that situation. It would probably cut down the need for part-timers (not completely, but some) and also reduce the cost of QA.
I know. It seems like they could offer a little more incentive...sm
I understand and hear they are great, but how are they so great when they don't offer benefits?  I guess benefits isn't needed by everyone, but I think most by the majority...Wish we had some insight about them even considering to offer more for their employees.
Less than 1 cpl for line incentive. nm

Could you elaborate on the 8 cpl plus incentive?
Are you talking about production incentive or is there an incentive for being compliant with your schedule?

I believe I understand the differential for shift incentive, and I work mostly evenings anyway.
Does KS have an incentive program? nm

No, its a bonus or incentive
A very nice way to say thank you for doing your part to help the environment. I'm happy as it went to help pay my taxes on the car.
Thx. Do they have incentive or bonuses?
nm
This is just incentive to get you to sign with this co.
x
Be that as it may, it IS incentive to sign on.

Why not 1 job with more lines for more incentive? nm

New WMX bonus incentive
Wow, I am amazed at how some people will complain about anything and everything. I suppose if you make a habit of calling off sick, this could probably affect you, but for those of us who actually work, this is a definite increase in pay, not to mention the clocking in and out every time you get up will be a thing of the past. I think this new incentive will be much more fair than the old lines per hour, as there were too many variables that could interfere through no fault of your own (1 or 2 bad dictators, system being slow, etc.) I am convinced that some people will whine and moan no matter what you do for them and think their employer owes them a living. In this economy today, I think you should be thankful to have a job instead of complaining about something before you even see how it does impact your paycheck. I, for one, am greatly looking forward to the new plan, as it will be a raise for me. Of course, I don't call off sick or plan my PTO time off as soon as I get it, but that's just me.
Yes, the incentive was based on

number of minutes dictated/transcribed.  For example, if the report I loaded was 2 min/50 seconds and the incentive was 25 cpm-- I would get an extra 50 cents (give or take for the 50 seconds).  We have to keep track of all the minutes and there is usually a required minimum of 500 minutes that you have to transcribe in order to be eligible.  There are also time constraints -- like it only runs for 4-6 hours.  You also have to maintain your commitment for the rest of the pay period.  That's the only type of incentive I've had my account and they're not very often -- I think they ran it twice (maybe three times) in the last 6 months.

I hope your accounts pick up soon.

Question for incentive pay and QA

I work for a company that offers incentive pay for high quality with having your reports sent to QA.  I've been there about 3 months and am beginning to believe this is not achievable.  First of all, they never give feedback on QA and if you ask they make you feel like it's a problem.  How can I increase my QA level if I am not given the opportunity to learn from my mistakes?  Any time I get close to going over my required line count and get close to becoming eligible for higher rate of pay, they start assigning me the worst ESLs I've ever heard.  What is it with these companies?  Glad I was offered a position outside the home and outside of transcription and will be starting part time in another week.  Keeping my fingers crossed that it can turn out full time.

TT Incentive Plan
Can someone please tell me what the incentive plan at Transtech looks like?  I'm trying to find a company with a good incentive plan.  That's probably a joke, but that's my goal.
Lost incentive
My cpl did not change at all and since BT was straight typing when it first started (and like it is when any new account comes in and has to get used to the dictators) I volunteered to move to BT so my accts were all new ones.  The thing that did change and it was a biggie, was that we lost the incentive.  Used to be when we'd get behind and they needed people to work extra you would be offered anywhere from $.01 to $.03 per line extra and you could make a lot of extra money that way as we always had a ton of work.  They kept that for awhile with the merger and slowly phased it out.  Now you get overtime at whatever the PTO rate is if overtime is approved by your ROM.  I miss that incentive...
The logic for incentive pay.
The reasoning for incentive pay is to do something that most people don't want to do which may entail some sacrifice (above and beyond merely working!), that may be hazardous in some way, or when there is more of a need.

For parents, especially during the school year, this is their chance for quality, non-stress time; if their child is in athletics on any level, there frequently are activities on the weekend. If you're single and/or social, this is when most people date, activities happen at clubs, sporting events, etc. Obviously if you work weekends you could find someone else that also works weekends, but then you're dependent on them having your same schedule, and the opportunities for 'social' events through the week are limited. Scientific data confirms the importance of bonding and social interaction, and a work schedule that limits is detrimental to our mental health and emotional well-being.

In addition, as far as third shift goes, our circadian rhythms are set up to sleep in the dark, wake in the sunlight. Working a shift that forces the body to go counter to those natural rhythms has been shown to be stressful to the body.

In addition, as companies frequently cite a need for these shifts to be covered, an incentive may motivate for someone who doesn't have the above issues to work it.

Sorry this got so long.
8.75 cpl base plus up to 2 cpl incentive, acute, MQ. nm

MQ--PTO and incentive question for those who have packets

What is the scoop on getting the 18 days of PTO?  Info I have seen says "up to 18 days" is this based on the 150 per line/40 hour week classification or do you have to do more than that to qualify for the full 18 days?

On the incentive, so I get that it's 1 cpl for 1200 lines per day and goes up from there.  Would you be willing to post the scale of how it goes up from there?  Or if that's too much, say for example one types 1800-2000 lines a day...what's the incentive amount for that range?

Thanks for the info, trying to learn SOMETHING that will help me put a positive spin on where this is going!!

whats the $$$ on that daily incentive?

How high does the daily incentive go? Please.
Thanks.
How high does the daily incentive go? Thanks. nm

MQ PACKET INCENTIVE PLAN
could you give me a breakdown of the incentives?  If I type 2400 lines a day, what will my incentive be cpl?
Incentive will be for both IC and employee status. sm
I know that rates will be higher for ICs than employees but ICs do not have benefits. Toss up if you ask me. I did not need them until recently (thanks to divorce from a loser who quit his job rather than pay child support).
What incentive pay? In 5 years I haven't gotten
anything for holidays and have worked most of them.
We have been TOO busy on my account. On incentive pay for
three weeks now due to increased volume and TAT demands. The other account I do backup on for KS has been asking for extra help as well.

This is my final stop for radiology transcription. I have been here over a year and feel appreciated, well-paid and busy.
