If this person has been transcribing for 29 years (36 for me) she probably has not had the ESLs as we did in years past. When I started this ESLs were few and far between, probably could count on 1 hand. It was not each doctor you transcribed or every other one you had to type. I am totally understanding of where she is coming from. It is bad because no one tells the dictators to clear up their act. I am told to leave their English exactly like they say and their English can leave much to be desired. I myself get very tired of doing 1 right behind the other and yearn for a break, just a decent dictation sometime. Another thing, if she has spent 29 years here do you think the person might not be trained to do another job??
