ladies at MxSecure

I have dealt with the ladies at MxSecure and they are nicest, most helpful supervisors, recruiters, QA people I have met...

Just remember everyone may have different experiences and nobody should base opinions by a post....

Ladies, ladies, ladies
Let us skip that tired recruiter accusation you hurl just because we are coming from different directions. If I were a recruiter, I would not be spending my time trying to encourage debate (yes, debate...you got something against debate?) on the pros an cons of this company. I also won't apologize on any level for the points of view I have expressed since they arise from countless hours (spanning three decades) of blood, sweat and tears spent perfecting my craft, staying employed, supporting myself and successfully raising my son as a single parent.

Started transcription in a hospital setting back in the dark ages, long before outsourcing was even possible. We had a bare smidgen of respect then, since on the food chain we were positioned way below MDs, RNs, technicians and administrators and just slightly above nurses' aides and ward clerks. They would not even honor us with the title of secretary. We were clerks I, II, III, IV, etc. We did have good benefits, scheduled raises, but little chance to advance since the skill is so specialized and does not directly generate revenue for them (although there is something to be said for maintaining a healthy legal status and facilitating the flow of insurance revenues). Then came the outsourcing. No, not overseas...just the boot out the hospital door into contract positions for fledgling transcription services...you know, back in the days when there WERE no professionals. Must say, that was a painful period of personal growth, to be sure. I made my decision right then and there that I did not have what it takes to actually run a transcription company. Can't pander enough and no longer stood in awe of MDs and hospital administrators. No people skills for landing contracts, and no desire to take on that kind of stress. Just wanted to be good at what I do and I had all I could say grace over just trying to transcribe. Glad I hung in there. I became a better, stronger and person during that time.

Anyway, benefits and scheduled raises gradually gave way to company profits and the attitude that we were lucky simply to have a job. For almost a decade, they were nowhere to be found. Nature took its course as it always does and they (benefits) began to surface again as a way to attract and keep the best transcriptionists and in in response to the fierce cut-throat competition that was evolving in a proliferating scribe market. Still, can't remember any warm and fuzzy recognition for any of it, other than the pats in the back I gave to myself along the way and the pride I take in my work....not for the sake of the employer or for my fellow transcribers...just for my own sake and out of respect for the journey (often tireless, thankless) that took me from there to here. Had to grow up. Had to stop whining. Had to get real, and take it for what it is and be smart enough to recognize that it would never be what I think it should be. Didn't go down without a fight either but just ended up cutting off my own nose to spite my face and burning a few bridges...not terribly helpful.

For a moment, consider this opposite view. Want support, recognition and appreciation? Who is the one being naive here? Just how much of that do you actually take the time to express to your employer? What do you do to promote the company? Send your bosses, TM of QA Christmas presents do you? Tell them what a fine job they are doing? Do you actually believe that you too do not take advantage of them at least as much as they take advantate of you for as long as they are useful to you and then drop them like a hot potato when they are not? Business is business. It is what it is. I know that I simply don't have time for any of that opining over what it isn't and what it should be and especially the fretting. Too busy typing, raising a family, being a wife, daughter, friend, etc and trying my best to have a life beyond my job. For me, it's just a matter of balance and perspective.

Ditch the pointless accusation (and the sarcasm, which is also just as meaningless) and let us see if we have anything to offer one another in this exchange. Just say what it is you are trying to say. You work for Precyse and you don't have work, is that it? What message lurks behind the recruiter accusation? You trying to enlighten me with regard to Precyse or punish me for holding a diverse viewpoint?
Ladies! sm
We must be having some after the holidays issues around here. I have them in full measure myself, but I wouldn't want to take it out on you all.

Calmly, I will tell you that my resume STATES what specialties I did and for what company. That is a courtesy. I spoke to a recruiter today and I said Basic 4 is perfect for me, but honestly I am a bit lean on cardiology experience and of note, cardio isn't on my resume either. She said, we can route those to others. I suggested that since I have started learning to do cardio and would like to continue to do so, could they allow me to work with QA to grow more accomplished. OH YES.

EVERY hospital I have done to date, every surgical center, all of her different specialties, period, end of the story.

Besides all of this stuff in this industry changes all the time, so has the resume job hunting end of it.
Ladies, ladies!
4 Heaven's sake, retract those darn claws!
Thanks ladies
I appreciate your honesty.

I've got two other companies scratching at my door as well so if Transtech isn't interested, I'm good.

Truth be told I'm aching to get out of this business altogether. Just need to pay the bills until I figure out what I want to be when I grow up.

Thanks again !
sorry about that ladies...
You all probably want to slap me. I do! LOL

Thanks.
Bingo, ladies, I'm right there with you
I've never been a speed demon, but yeah, I remember the thrill of finding stuff. I was the go-to gal in the office years ago because I loved the thrill of the hunt....
C'Mon ladies, NEED HELP!!1

Would like some information, PLEASE........ How about insurance cost at Axoltl or Transcend or Transtech? Any cheaper???  Oh yes,  we have BC/BS

LADIES - Get a grip!
Why is everyone ripping each other apart as well as the original poster?  No one was **acting like a prima donna.**  She did not state it was a hospital to begin with.  She simply said she did not want to take the schedule.  The same as someone else saying they do not wish to work at night.  Good grief!!  Yes, it is true that many positions being offered require 1 weekend day.  I, myself kept looking until I found a M-F.  To some of us, **raising a bunch of kids** is important.  What gives anyone else the right to knock it?  Some people stiff have a wonderful sense of family being important.  Sad for those who do not.  So you work days, nights, and weekends, good for you.  Please live and let live!!
Ladies we rule the MT world!!! nm

Bunch of whining ladies
Andrea Renner does not care about postings here, she thinks the moderator will remove it! Seems she considers hard working participants here as bunch of whining ladies!
Ladies...I think we may be making some headway...
I was being recruited recently and when I asked the line rate for weekend IC work, she said 8 cpl. I was like...oh man, that's too low. Let me tell you, she was flabbergasted, speechless!!! and started explaining that the MTSO had to make THEIR money, and the companies will only pay so much...blah blah blah.

I have continued to do this with other companies I speak to, and they are also shocked I'd dare ask a higher rate. Well get used to it Fatcats...we're fed up working for 80's wages in a Recession economy, and we expect to get paid for our expertise. If you want the best, you'll have to pay for it. Period.

I think this is why we see so many job listings recently, those of us who have worked long and hard at this profession are standing up for what we believe is right. Way to go, Women (and men)!
twisting the knob..BRAVE ladies!

How totally refreshing to read a post, then the replies and an honest informative debate about a subject and not one name called, no one slamming someone for their opinion and a truly interesting read.

This is so refreshing for a change and should happen much more often.  I commend you all for your educated and well spoken opinions

heard MXS was good to work for but the ladies there
as told to me by a friend that used to work there.

I am no longer at MQ either. I applied at Gulf Coast Transcription, the lady that replied was really nice but I didn't want IC status. You might try them.
WAY! The closest I have come is 2700 but I do know a couple of ladies that have hit 3000. nm

Thanks for the memories ladies. Now I remember why I loved this business.
Long gone are those happy times.

Anybody have any comments on this company...nothing in archives.
Anybody do QA for MxSecure
Is the pay low, average or very good? I know they offer benefits to QA...is the insurance affordable (single)?
MxSecure
Seeking feedback on this company.  Any good, bad, or indifferent feedback appreciated on this Arizona company.

Wondering too if they are a decent company to work for or not and whether they offshore. People, platform, pay, any other info appreciated.
Mxsecure
I asked about this company a couple of weeks ago and did not get a response. I would like to hear from someone who works there now. Do you have an adequate amount of work? Is their line counting system fair? How about thier QA point system? Any other info is appreciated as well.
MxSecure
yes, the same sort of thing happened to me about finally getting a call back, but when I finally did I asked numerous questions and my first one was about outsourcing. They did tell me they had a international and domestic division and I kindly rejected the position. I was not impressed with their organizational skills at all.
MxSecure
I have worked for them for 9-1/2 months now, and they are an EXCELLENT company to work for. They do not offshore. If you would like more information regarding them feel free to let me know. I absolutely LOVE this company and they treat their MTs GREAT! I was hired as a newbie, and this is my first MT position. To be hired with them (and receive a prompt callback from the), you have to test VERY good or they will not hire you. Maybe that was why they took so long to contact you. Also, knowing someone in the company will also get you a callback quicker. As with ANY MT company, test scores make a HUGE impact on whether you get a callback or not. JMHO
MxSecure
I currently work for them (and have since April of 2005)and LOVE this company. I was hired right out of school and could not have picked a better company to work for. Someone is always available to help out and they have a VERY MT friendly platform. They have a very good line counting system. I have NEVER been jipped out of pay and they ALWAYS pay on time (and sometimes early). I have only had a problem 1 time with my pay (they forgot to pay me my extra for working on Christmas), and I emailed them, and received the money the SAME day. They are also growing rather quickly, and there is ALWAYS work. Even if your regular accounts are not very busy, there is ALWAYS someone there to give you more work (and to help you if you have too much work....yes, it does happen). Again, I am VERY happy with MxSecure!
MxSecure
And also if you are someone with a lot of experience as with myself (16 years) they can pretty much tell if you are going to do the job or not WITHOUT TESTING. They had already offered me a position, but I chose not to take because my contact person TOLD ME THEY OFFSHORE. They said they have a domestic and international department.
Mxsecure
They do not have a line count requirement. I currently work for them and they do pay for spaces and ON TIME. They are a GREAT company to work for. If they had benefits, I would NEVER leave them. HTH
MxSecure-Does anyone know anything about them?
I searched the archives and came up with nothing.  Just looking for someone who might have experience with them.
MxSecure
I had a friend that highly recommended them to me.  She used to work for them but quit she needed employee status.  They, according to her, only have IC.  She also said the hours are very very flexible.  They sent her a box of chocolates for her birthday.  I decided to stay in house and work because I need bennies also.
Yes - MxSecure
Have my 2 week notice into MQ right now. Been working PT with MxSecure since October and am going full time with them. Can't wait to be done with MQ and here full time.. really like it!  Email me if you want more info
MxSecure
I have been PT now at MxSecure for about 3 months. I like what I see so far, and will probably be going on FT soon.... If anyone has any interest in this company, please let me know if you have questions. There is an ad posted for work, so wanted to offer a few encouraging words if anyone is interested.
MxSecure
I am the one who works for MxSecure. If anyone has any questions, please email me. If you apply, I would appreciate the referral, that is why I would like to take time to answer anyone's questions... but since someone posted openly the company, just want to ask for anyone applying to please contact me. I am not JUST looking for a referral, I am willing to help and answer any questions also. Thank you. Jolena

Any info out there on MxSecure - I want it all - the good, the bad, and the ugly....  Is it a lot of ESL.  Hard to make your quota, etc..  Thanx ahead of time

I like MxSecure
Been there a year and really like it. Totally IC, 20 hour TAT with specific work pools/assignments. They are hiring now, focusing on full-time which is 1000 lines Monday through Friday.
MxSecure
They require 500 for PT, 1000 for full-time. Monday through Friday. 20 hour TAT, work own hours.
MxSecure
To say that MxSecure is nitpicky would be an understatement.  Interestingly, they have at least one account where a hyphen is always required with the use of the word follow-up, regardless of the context.
MxSecure
I was wondering if there is anybody out there that works for this company. I have a phone interview this afternoon about a clinic position that is mostly ESLs. I was just wondering how their pay is, etc.

TIA!
MxSecure

The pay is low but standard for most TX companies on only clinic work.  Research this company very carefully --- the past, present, and future.

MxSecure?

I need info on this company from somebody that currently works for them. (i.e. easy to make lines, work load, etc).

TIA!

MxSecure
Hi. I worked there for 3 years, and quit last september for the same reason, among others. I asked them about this. They admitted that they outsource to India, but that wasn't the problem. Right. Anyway, it's really too bad, because I have worked at 3 difference companies now, including Transcend and the one I'm at now, and cannot get near the line count I was gettting on the Mx platform. I was even thinking about going back part time if they hire part timers yet. They didn't used to. Anyway, hope this helps. Good Luck
MxSecure, Inc....any info?
.
Mxsecure. I know I posted below
from someone who works there now. Do they pay for spaces? Is the QA point system fair? Any other info?
Does anyone know the pay range for MxSecure? Thx. nm

Anyone get an offer from Mxsecure? NM
oo
MXSecure pay periods
Can anyone tell me how the pay periods run?
MXSecure. Anyone heard of them?
Looks like I'm still looking.
MxSecure pay per cpl, just contractors??

Does anyone know what MxSecure pays per CPL?  I cannot seem to find this info anywhere, either on their site or elsewhere.  Also, do they just employ independent contractors or do they offer employee status as well?  I'm specifically asking about transcription.  Thanks for any info anyone can provide.

I HAVE to get out of SPI.  They are driving me insane!!!!

MxSecure pay per cpl, just contractors??
$.08 cpl and yes ;-)
MxSecure MTs...see message please
If you work for MxSecure, would you mind posting here or emailing me?  I have been offered and accepted a position there (very excited).  I was just wondering how you're doing as far as your work load, how you like the platform, percentage of ESLs you personally get, etc.  Anything positive is very welcome.  I look forward to working with all of you!
The two companies were MxSecure

However, with both, you are required to transcribe a certain amount of lines a day and also I know for sure with Advanced you must tell them which 3 days a week you will work because I did talk with someone there.

So, neither one of these companies truly fit the bill of IC work for me.  I don't feel required lines is IC, but that's just my opinion and I know others don't feel the same way, so flame away, I guess.

Does MxSecure pay for spaces??
Thanks!!
