phone interview with transportal tomorrow.... sm

If anyone has any info before I interview tomorrow, please let me know.  My biggest concer is the platform.  I can type 1200 lpd with no problems, but every platform I've tried in the past seems to produce nothing but dinking around all day instead of $$$.  Hopefully this one will be different.  The test doctors sounded great.

Thanks much,

Debbie

Tomorrow I have an Interview for a

Interview is with local BIG hospital, but will work at home. I am looking for questions to ask at the interview. It will be with 3 people. Head MT, HR person, and MR manager. NEED input, questions to ask, what constitutes good pay, etc. I have done radiology before in-house, but no idea where to begin with off-site pay scale.

Thanks for your help!

Anyone know anything? - I interview tomorrow - please help!
??
I have an interview there tomorrow -
can you give me an idea on the pay scale? what is their system like? benefits?
Have an interview with Nightingale tomorrow...

Anyone heard of them??  I can't seem to find much on them.  I tested with them over a month ago, and they called today for an interview tomorrow.  I have no idea what to expect from them, but I do believe they hire IC, and they may pay by the minute.  Part-time is only 200 minutes a week.

I just started working for Sten-Tel this week, and so far I like it.  Things could change though, so I'd like to keep my options open.

Interview tomorrow...what questions should I ask?
I don't want to forget anything important, what questions do you ask or would you ask when considering changing companies?

So far I have:
Flexible schedule?
% of ESL?
Web based? if so, which platform?
equipment needed? who provides?
How often paid? DD available?
Benefits?

What am I missing?
Interview with Diskriter tomorrow...

Hi all,

Can anyone please share their experiences with Diskriter good and bad of how they are to work for, how flexible their schedules are, pay scale, benefits, communication, etc. If you wish to me e-mail, please do so.

I have a phone interview with them tomorrow and they are sending me their test via e-mail tonight to do. I am currently looking into other companies because there has got to be something better than where I am at!

Thanks!

interview tomorrow with Keystrokes

Any advice or suggestions?  Is this company worth giving a shot or are they one of the no-no's?  I am in desperate need of a second job at this moment and don't want to make a mistake...

Thanks in advance for any and all advice and/or suggestions!

Thanks for the response. I have an interview tomorrow
and I'm so stressed - not about the interview, but about making a change.  I have never done VR and afraid of not being able to make as much as I do transcribing, having enough work, etc.   I'm very stressed with my current company for lots of reasons and they have not been receptive to doing anything about it other than lip service.  I know I need to get out of current situation, but still the thought of starting over again is scary, plus you don't know how things will work out.
I have an interview with Softscript tomorrow

or at least I think it is awesome from a local clinic to work as an independent contractor.  I worked for their neighboring hospital for 8 years, so I will have the same dictators.

My next door neighbor works for them and I just got off the phone with her and she said they are very lax about the schedule.  She said that they don't do QA like the companies do.  She said unless your just totally screwing up and the doctors are complaining then they get after you but other than that, they leave you alone.  She said you do have to commit to so many lines a week and they need to know when you are on and off the system in case they need a stat done.  She said there is plenty of work and she makes between makes in 35k to 40k range a year.  I have never worked as an IC before and it does kind of scare me.

Now I am worried.  The lady said she will call me next week and have me come in and train and go over a contract.  What if she doesn't call!  What if she changes her mind!   I have an interview with SoftScript tomorrow.  I am afraid to blow them off just yet but I don't want to waste their time because I really want that other job. But, if the above scenario happens, then I would need that job at Softscript.  Should I tell Softscript right off I have another offer?   I have my doubts Softscript will pay that much, but I could be wrong. Then again, Softscript is just interviewing.  They may not want me.  I have already tested and I take it I passed or they wouldn't take the next step and interview.  But, they never said one way or another.

Phone Interview
She will give you a test by phone. I think it's 15 questions. The pay range is 7-9 cpl. I'm sure there are probably exceptions on both ends of this range.
phone interview
it is an over the phone interview, just like you might have face-to-face with a job interview. don't be nervous...they cannot see you sweat...lol...only thing is OSi outsources their work to India. I found that out after I applied with them. They have USA TX too, but most of their work goes overseas....just thought I would throw that in there, in case it matters to you.
The phone interview at MDI
was actually fun. I really liked Carlotta and found myself thinking that if I didn't live on the opposite coast, she is the kind of person I would like to invite over for a cup of coffee--very approachable and nice. She was very willing to take all the time I needed to get my questions answered and was very kind and courteous.

I had a phone interview.
Was completely underwhelmed by the recruiter and did not pursue it any farther.

I'm very nervous as I have a phone interview with (sm)
Transcend Services for part time work tomorrow.  Anyone out here had an interview with them?  How is it?  What do they ask you?  I haven't interviewed in 7 years and am a tad bit nervous.  The last one I had I was not exactly altogether (won't say why), but they hired me anyway.  Any insight on this company would be extremely helpful.  TIA
Webmedx phone interview
The Webmedx phone interview is painless. Just some questions, I interviewed for acute care, so I think there were 20 questions. They were easy, though. I also took a transcription test which was not bad either. I'm hopeful I have found a place I can be for awhile.
....and I have a phone interview Monday!
That was fast!!!

transportal

Darn it.  They want to give me an account.  What is bad about them may I ask??

TransPortal ?

This company is located in North Carolina and I did check archives but could find nothing regarding them.  Are they a new company?  Anyone with info please fill me in on pros and cons, please.  Thank you.

TransPortal
Anyone have any info on them or currently work there?
TransPortal

Did anyone apply and hear back from TransPortal?  I was contacted for an interview and never heard back.  I was just wondering if anyone else may have had luck with them.

Thanks,

Transportal

Got an email that they liked my resume, would call the next on the phone.  Never got the phone call.  I called the following day and left a message for the recruiter that I was still interested in talking to her.  She called back the next day and told me they had nothing available but would keep my resume on file.

Another total waste of my time.

Transportal in NC
Does anyone actually work for or formerly worked for Transportal who would be willing to give me some information on how they are to work for.  I have seen the posts, but nothing concrete, just a message to avoid them but no reasons given.  I am looking for an IC job, and they sound promising.  If you prefer not to post, just send info to my email.
Transportal
I am working for them now and I really like them.
Transportal

Are you referring to Transportal?  I work for them.  They ROCK. :)

Transportal
I agree with the last post - call and chat with the recruiter.  She is very nice and has had this issue going on for awhile.  I had a friend who tested (seasoned MT) and failed!  She was so devastated, but called and talked to the gal and is now working there.  I took the test - knowing the answer to the one question that was messed up, so I ended up passing and now I too work there!!!  Guess they should get that little issue figured out!!!  Good company though!

TransPortal
You heard???? And you are passing on rumors??? Shame on you. TransPortal is a wonderful company to work for. Not all supervisors assign work late at night and they should not be hassling or sending rude emails. If one is it is an isolated incident and I am sure it has been taken care of. The platform works great if you have enough memory in your computer, people can easily do 1200+ lines per day once they get the hang of it, which does take 2-3 weeks. To work there for 1 week and then spread lies is shameful. You are missing a great work opportunity if you do not check them out.
transportal
Transportal has IC status with or without taxes.  Excellent company (I think).  Full time status is considered 1200 lines minimum.
TransPortal

Hello,

I have a phone interview coming up with TransPortal, and I was wondering if any TransPortal MTs out there could comment on the Scribe platform.  Has it gotten any better to deal with? I have read some past posts both here and on the CS forum about it being a pain in the neck.  All other info on the company seems to be great aside from the platform.  I'm hoping to hear that they have the bugs worked out by now...  (especially assuming I have Vista!)

Any info, pros, or cons will be appreciated!

Thanks!

Any information about TransPortal

I have a phone interview with transportal today and I was wondering if anyone knows of that company or works for them. I would appreciate any information.

Thanks!

Transportal-Anyone work for them

I have just been offered a position with Transportal but I do not know anything about them.  I am not finding much on this board about them either.  If anyone can tell me about them I would really appreciate it.

Thanks so much

How long have you been w/Transportal

Thanks for responding.  How long have you been with them?  Do they pay by check, direct deposit, or do you have to get a prepaid VISA card?

Thanks again

Transportal info
To save you guys from hoping too much, I was contacted and I was offered 7 cpl with possible 7-1/2 for employee status.  Such as slap in the face!  17 years experience and that was all I was offered!  Hopefully, that will let you know what they are going to offer you.  It is a huge account and sounded awesome but not awesome enough for slave wages.
Has anyone heard from TransPortal? nm

I work for TransPortal...
I am currently working with this company. While I have only been employed with them for about a month, I am very happy so far...good accounts, the platform is Scribe, and QA is very helpful. Hope this helps!
Transportal hiring. sm
To those working for Transportal or with knowledge, can you email me the address to send my resume?  I did look on their website but does not seem to be an address for resumes?
Transportal Question
Does anyone have any information on the benefits that Transportal (in NC) provides its employees? Insurance? Paid vacations? Etc.? Thanks!
C-phone - I purchased a c-phone from someone in Oklahoma but never got it. *sm*
First she told me her grandmother died. Then she told me she mailed it. Then she told me her daughter was having chemotherapy. Call me naive, but I thought she was sincere and cannot imagine anyone using their daughter as an excuse. If this is the same person from Oklahoma, I sure would like to know about it because now I want my money back.
Whey do you say to stay away from TransPortal?
Did you work for them or know something about them?
Anybody ever tested recently with Transportal?
I tested with Transportal and on the VERY beginning of the test (you know, the REALLY easy questions) it said I failed and suggested that I go to their partner company Career Step to better my transcription skills and try again.  I went back and reviewed and looked up my answers and every single one was right.  So, I went and took another test for them and AGAIN it did the same thing.  Anybody else every experience this?
transportal is a great company
I have worked for them for about five months now and have had nothing but a GREAT experience with them. I am a seasoned Transcriptionist and have been on many platforms. Scribe is great, not perfect by any means, but it is great. It is fast. It is based in MSWord. No, you may not get paid for demographics, but how hard is it to enter the name and MR# and DOS??? Come on? Some accounts you check the schedule, find the name, and it automatically loads. How tough is that?

If you have any experience in working in Word you can work in Scribe w/o any problem whatsoever. I can EASILY Make my line counts in short order.

Also, regarding line counts, they are there, always have been. Unless you have a job that goes to QA then you have to wait a bit to see that line count come in, but I have never been cheated out of any lines that I can assure you.

The one and ONLY thing I had to complain about was being on QA for a long period of time unnecessarily.

Of all the companies that I have worked for, and trust me I have tried a lot of them, this one by far beats them all. The management staff are awesome, the dictators are awesome, the platform is great. What more can I say.
United, Archivus, Transportal. sm

I did look up prior posts on these companies but did not find the answer to this question.  Do any of these companies hire IC?  Do these companies base full time on line count or hours if they have employee status?

Thanks for your help.  I am trying to narrow down my search.  I appreciate it.

Reposting about TransPortal - Please reply

I'm reposting this in hopes that someone will see this and give me updated info on TransPortal. I have tested with them and should hear back from them this week.  I've read everything in the archives, but I was hoping for some updated info about their platform.  My other post got buried under the MDI and T posts.  (Not knocking their posts, by the way, as I feel sorry for what they are dealing with...)

Anyways, here is what I originally posted a while back...
