Thanks for all the input!! I really appreciate it.

Precyse told me I passed their test and that they would contact me, which they have not yet. I turned down Spheris because I'm scared of them after reading the posts, and they have not been very good about answering the exact questions I had posted above. Deventure looks really nice to me and I may yet end up with them, but in the meantime I'm leaning toward OSi because I've never read anything seriously negative about them and they DO have benefits like a real job (as my husband would call it, meaning an at-the-office kinda job). They also worked out that although I have no formal training in acute care, I pick up on terminology and new formats very quickly and also had typed for a clinic general surgeon for 5+ years. I like that they can help you get trained in op reports, become a CMT, etc.

It's just a drag that now while I'm training I will have to wait a while to make any kinda money at all. Oh well...Beats the job I just got out of, being a legal assistant to a lawyer who just wanted some T&A to look at every day and I think is now having a fling with my replacement.....
