Sorry--a bunch of very specific questions here that the companies don't seem to address, at least not right off the bat, and for which I couldn't find answers on the board here.
OSI: Do they offer incentives? Also, in an old post, an MT wrote here that whenever she had a high hourly line average, OSi would change the account. Is this still true? If you get hold of a really awful dictator, can you change?
Deventure: They're contemplating hiring me at level 1. Is there any way to eventually change to level 2, which makes more money--can you learn whatever you need to with them to do this? Do they give bonuses/raises? Do they contribute to 401K? Would I need to buy any equipment? What do they pay you when you're training? Is there a lot of work? Do you get any kind of flexibility in schedule? Do they offer shift differentials?
Spheris: Big question: Are they still as bad as the old posts on this board make 'em out to be? Do they contribute to 401K? Have they moved to voice recognition yet or do they plan to? Can you get as much work as you want (I'd like to work as much as possible), or do they still strictly require you to work only 8 hours a day? Are they still offering you one pay rate and then changing it on you? If you get an impossible dictator, can you change?
Any specific answers (not just ___ sucks!) would be very, very helpful. Thanks, y'all!

Micromanaged to the microsecond, or ms! Horrible. And part of a team? Total opposite - part of a team as in prison.
Don't imply you're worried at all. Just stating fact that Spheris does NOT allow a Spheris MT
work concurrently for MQ - no exceptions. MQ, on the other hand, does not have the same feelings as Spheris. Just all I had to say so that MTs aren't misled into thinking they can do the same "legally". Even went to the ropes on this issue with Spheris, as I was professional as well, and wouldn't share info, etc. The point they raised was that MQ is their direct #1 competition, and if I was typing for MQ and doing great work, that was in direct conflict of interest with Spheris' best interests. Guess which one I obviously stuck with!!

Nice people, but I found their platform to be rather tedious and time-consuming. Also very strict on scheduling and I needed more flexibility.

I see unanswered posts about Deventure and thought I would give my opinion. I am new there, but impressed. Setup was extremely smooth and recruiter, supervisor, and tech people are on the ball. Good feedback and encouragement. Great accounts and not-so-great accounts. The constant ads are because they are adding new accounts by the minute.

Okay, I didn't get any responses about the equipment from DeVenture, so I have another question. I have read that the pay is on the low side, but is it possible to make a decent salary with them? Is the platform user friendly? Thanks.

I work part-time for DeVenture and you have you use your own computer. They did not provide me with a foot pedal either. They pay 4 cpl for editing.

Actually, that's pretty good rate of pay for eScription. I get 3.9 cents per line. This week, I'm up to 600 lph.

I really thought this was going to be a great company to work for until the Recruiter/QA supervisor tried to cover herself/save face by telling a blatant lie. The end. So, be careful and watch your back. Sometimes it is those who initially seem so nice and helpful that end up being not so honest.

1. No trouble at all meeting line count. Always lots of work.
2. I work a few hours a day, never 8 and always get enough lines.
3. No clocks to punch.
4. Insurance starts 60 days after hire.
5. About $23 a week.

I work for them. I don't know about the shine platform. Very nice people to work for. No incentives for high line counts. Pay for regular transcription is good but not so good for editing. Pretty easy to get lines required because of great accounts.

I work for DeVenture with EditScript. You will not find nicer people to work with. Amanda is very sweet. Yes, she is new, but she knows what she is doing or she would not be in that position. They are a great company in every way.
