You got that right! We are talking scraping bottom of the barrell here! NM

No, but the bottom of the barrel after - sm
In-house MTs picked out the few okay dictators.  Now all my accounts seem to be is garbage ESLs right off the boat who scream, snort, whisper, and seem to speak in their native tongue while they bang the phone around, shuffle through papers, eat, talk to the staff around them.
Their pay is bottom of the barrel. You could easily

A recent job search placed them at the bottom in terms of pay and the schedule they assigned me. Move ahead to something better.

I've found their pay bottom of the barrel.

chiropractic MT is bottom of the barrel for pay in my experience
x
Really offensive, what black people will only work for the bottom of the barrel?

should be ashamed

They're pretty much alright - sm

The only problem I had was the cruddy account they had me on - loaded with cherry pickers and the worst ESLs - but I don't think it was Documed's fault.  For the most part they're okay.  The direct deposit is great and always on time.  I don't like that they don't provide you with a breakdown of your line counts and they use their own line-counting system, so you really never know if you're getting shafted or not.  I've never felt that I really got shafted, though.  Faye can be kind of pushy, but I think she's okay for the most part.

they're pretty great
They are very consistent overall. Oh, now and then you get a nitpicky change made to something. (you can see all your reports after QA'd) But every communication i've had with QA has been very positive. I've even had an appreciative response after bring a QA error to their attention. Yes, you will be informed if you are being kept. You can even ask for a little reassurance during the probation period, ie, 'how am I doing?' When you're off of QA, QA doesn't have much of any contact with you. Your liasion keeps you updated with an e/m or two a day. That's about it.
Pretty sure only when you're connected to the VPN
x
And if they're *pretty darned good* right now,

when you and you coworkers fix it so they're PERFECT, who's going to be editing these reports then?

Perhaps a better question is from what country will these people be editing these reports?

They're lying sort of. They are pretty much
100% Indian, so I guess saying they don't offshore to India isn't a total lie.  They just have an address in the US, which someone posted previously was actually a residence.
I found it, bottom page 2 Company board
nm
Yep, they're definitely up there pretty high on the SUCK list
another evil company
Pretty much every company now has
x
Company is pretty good except...
for the last several weeks there has been a problem with work shortage on several of the accounts on the new platform. When you have four accounts you work on and you have no work that kind of makes you wonder. Other than that, the people are very nice, the pay is decent, and they have good benefits. For me it is just the work load issue. They say they have not overhired, but just makes you wonder. I think you made good decision, just make sure they give you more than one backup account, as I have no idea what platform they hired you for or what accounts.
Pretty good company
aside from their pea green web-site.
I'm pretty sure we work for the same company
Does the company name start with a V?  Does this QA power-monger's name start with a V?  I started with them about 15 months ago, also.  After 1 week of QA, I felt very comfortable with the quality of work I was sending them, so I stopped sending blank-free reports to QA.  It was that simple.  No one stated I did anything wrong.  Now, only reports with blanks go to QA.  (E-mail me).....
Oracle is a pretty good company to work for but,
their home-grown software makes it difficult to get a good line count.
Worked out to a pretty good hourly rate, just not the right company for me. nm
,,
Does anyone recommend a pretty good company that is good to work for, pay always on time and plenty
of work.  I know that is asking a lot, but just curious?
So the company you're with now....sm

1.  Pays more per line and has better benefits.

2.  Doesn't send work overseas and never ever ever will.

3.  Always tells you how much you're appreciated.

4.  Never says a negative thing about anyone or anything.

5.  Always tells the employees what the current and future business plans are.

Correct?   If so then tell everyone where you work so we can all apply for jobs there.

Is the company you're with IC or SE? Thx much! NM
x
I think perhaps you're confusing them with another company?
They pay extremely well - higher than any other company I've been able to find.
You're welcome. I'm truly impressed with this company sm

and I think you'd be very happy should you decide to take a position with them.  It has been a long time since I have encountered such caring people as an employer.

And thanks for the compliment on my baby.  Maltese doggies are cute too.  (And no, this isn't the right board for such things but what the heck.)

Good luck!

i think they're a great company!
x
I know a company that pays for 5 if you're off.
nm
I wonder if you're working for the same company as me - nm
x
They're a good company
I've been an IC with them since November last year.  I'm on a clinic account, so the work was slow around Christmas and New Year's because the clinic was closed, but otherwise, the work is plentiful throughout the week.  Good company - good people.  QA is really great to work with.  They pay right on time and are very accurate.
I'm sure they're a fine company, but
with little kids at home and starting college classes in January to get out of this dying field my big worry is the employee status. I can't punch a timeclock. I'll look for a new job before that happens. I'm sure all their management is good and it is a decent company, but for me it comes down to employee status and set schedules. Can't do it.
wondering if you would e-mail me the name of the company you're with and TIA. nm
nm
If you're so paranoid find another company
you type a character and leave the rest of us at Transtech alone. Thank you.
Good company, for sure. Find one where you're SM
consistently safe from overhiring--and then come back and give all the rest of us the name. In the meantime, for me at Webmedx most days have plenty of work, although some days require adjusting my schedule during the day to the work flow.

You know, evolving electronic capabilities and patient needs have now led hospitals--our employers' clients--to expect the very quick turnaround needed. Years past have taught home MTs we can work when it suits us. Is it any wonder that MTSOs are currently doing their best to deal with these realities by overhiring when needed? Webmedx is trying to stabilize this situation to everyone's benefit--economic at least for us--by pushing its MTs to meet our commitment of hours per week while still allowing some flexibility.

I'm MsIndigo and I approved this ad. :) Best wishes whereever you land.

I also work for a company in Florida and we're running

low on work, just within the past 10 days. I know it's due to the hurricane though. My main account was in New Orleans and just isn't dictating and won't be for a while, I guess. They didn't dictate each day but when they did send work about 3 times a week, I could work for 2 straight days w/o running out of their work. I type a lot of lines each day and for me and the others on that account, we are now on our secondary and third accounts which takes takes work away from others.

QT Medical is an awsome company and seems to be what you're looking for, from what you've said
xx
You're describing p.r.n. status, not IC. You need to look for a company who hires sm
p.r.n. MTs.
If you're not afraid to hide, then tell us who you are so we DON'T apply to your company!!!!

AND, if you don't NEED us for anything, then why are you HERE!!  Go away!

All the old reviews say they're horrible. Listen to those MTs and choose another company. nm
x
If you're that upset about it, do what I did and work for a company that doesn't outsource
nm
And you're okay with working for a company that sends most of its work to India and

whose workforce is predominantly Indian?  You're okay with the loss of American jobs, the falling recession we are in and the falling economy due in big part to the offshoring of American jobs?  How okay will you be when you lose your job to an Indian and you have to apply for food stamps and unemployment?

Sell-out MTs like you are the reason good MTs cannot make a decent wage anymore, why good MTs cannot find a good job anymore, and why sweats shops in third world countries are thriving.  How do you look at yourself in the mirror?

Focus Infomatics employs 800 American MTs and over 3000 Indian MTs.  Tech support is in India.  The company itself is still run by the same Indian man who started the company and sold out to Nuance.  He made a bundle when he sold and he is still making a bundle running the company while he pays his own countrymen and woman peanuts!  He's selling out his own people and you are selling out yours!  On second thought, I guess you belong at Focus with your own kind!

Why don't you just go to the bottom
about Transcend, also many more if you search the archives.  Nothing has changed since 4 days ago.
there is more down the bottom...sm
dated 10/8 starting with Lynn. Apparently SS is claiming they told this supposed Lynn person to post and see what other people say. Is that right? For all we know, Lynn is someone from SS. It's causing chaos.
IMO, the bottom line
after seeing all the negative posts must be Amphion (for no weekends unless you want them) and MDI-MD (for good Bayshore software).  Would most people agree?
If you go to the bottom of any page
there will be page # at the bottom.  If on page 1 click on page 2 to see the newest of the posts that have scrolled off.  You can then do a Ctl F to do a search.  I don't know how sensitive the search is, by I've seen it Cymed and CyMed.
Usually they had a sticker on the bottom to tell

you what model # they are.   The majority of the foot pedals are Infinity brand and made in various offshore countries.

If you know what platform they work on you can advertise that, and also the # of pins, or if USB, serial port or game port.

At the bottom of the post, it should say
reply by e-mail Click on that and type a couple of words and send it and it will get to me. :)
Look towards the bottom of the page...
there a few comments.  Also try a search using MDI-MD, might turn up more comments that way. I've been interested in them, too, but last time I applied, they were only hiring for C-phone account and needed unlimited long distance.  I wonder if they will be going to internet only in the future, as I think they have some accounts that are internet.  Anyone know?
It's all about the bottom dollar
Who's going to buy all those cheap products when the peons have no jobs and thus no money.  I fear things are going to get a whole lot worse before they get better.
Bottom line...
Amphion employs the best of the best...if you can't cut it, they cut you loose...simple.
I would bet my bottom dollar you are
under 50! It is really funny because I hear these young starlets talking about how they would never have a face lift. I guess not in your 20-50 age range.
Not individually yet, but at the bottom of the - sm
post they did say the order in which people would go:

(8) The stepwise reduction in workforce will be based on the following:

- all independent contractors will be terminated;

- all MTs who produce less than 200,000 KS in a pay period will get their notice imminently;

- all very recent hires will get their notice on or around November 12th;

- MTs who produced less than full time Keystrokes are potentially subject to notice at or around November 12th.

That seems like more notice than most places give.

bottom line
Take the 8.5 job.

You get healthcare.

You get 50% of your soc. sec. paid.
