I took my 16-year-old daughter to see Paul in concert in 2005. It was spectacular! It lasted over 2 hours pretty much nonstop. I think she was more excited than I was! I love that my teenager loves "my" music.
My screen name is a bow to the Beatles (sm)
George Harrison is my favorite all-time musician. I love him, love him, love him. He made the guitar sing. I love the Beatles as well.

I've never seen Paul in concert. He was never my favorite Beatle but wrote my favorite Beatles song (Lady Madonna), but I'd never pass up a chance to see him in concert. Are you going to see him?

I absolutely love the music around the time of Revolver and Rubber Soul.
I'm 35 and I love the Beatles!

I especially dig their stuff they put out while they were on acid or whatever the hallucinagenic of choice was.  And yes, I do blame Yoko for their breakup.

Hey, the Beatles were young once too ...
and those songs weren't too much for them. I agree that some of them are young and don't know the songs, but that's true of any theme they've done. At least they aren't having to choose songs that have been done by prior Idol contestants.

SPOILER WARNING:
I don't dislike Amanda Overmyer (rocker chick), but her skills are limited to one particular type of music, so I'm not sad she was voted off tonight. I don't care for Kristy Lee Cook, so she could have gone. I like Michael Johns, but his performances haven't hit the mark. I enjoy David Cook. He looks happy rather than cocky to me. He looks like he was doing what he was born to do. I can't believe Carly Smithson (tattoos, from Ireland I think) was in the bottom three. Ramiele is missing something but I'm not sure what. Chikezie is fantastic when the song is bluesy. I think Brooke White is good but a bit predictable. I enjoy Jason Castro very much.

Top talents IMO are:

David Archulata, David Cook, Carly Smithson.

I think Syesha Mercado gave an A performance this time also. She just isn't as reliable as my top 3 picks.
Absolutely love the Beatles...
but I have never seen Paul in concert. It is never funny when someone dies, but when a song would come on the radio and I would say to my daughter when she was about 5 "that is Paul" or "that is John" she would always say "Is he the one with Wings or the dead one?
Beatles. Paper or plastic?

Oceans.... Stones or Beatles.

I'd recommend seeing the Beatles "Love." Outstanding!

saw the Beatles with Ed Sullivan back in early 60s

Sounds great. Have fun. Are you going to see the Beatles Cirque de Soleil?

Paul
Hey! Nice to meet you!! I actually saw Paul in concert for the first time in September 2005 in Philadelphia. I live in Maryland and the tickets were my "mother's day" gift from my husband. It was, bar none, the BEST concert I have ever been to. I love the man!!! I, too, love George Harrison. He was so creative; I loved "While My Guitar Gently Weeps......."
Paul
Yeah, my kids will actually say "now, WHICH ones are still alive?" LOL!! I saw a very alive Paul in Concert in September 2005. He was AWESOME!!
Best? who knows?....I like Paul Newman's

Paul Newman's
jm
Paul Newman's all the way!!!
His also seem to be healthier. Love his sauces!
Paul in concert
I saw Paul in 2005 too in Philly; I agree it was spectacular! I went with my husband, but called the kids at home from my cell so they could sing along! I have 4 girls ranging in age from 17 to 5 and they know the Beatles songs. That is so cool your daughter loved it. I wished I had brought mine too.
Paul Potts
He is incredible!  I was lucky to catch this when it happened and have since listened to all the recordings of him I can find about a thousand times!  I love his name - after he said it, "I'm Paul Potts".  I still haven't been able to get his CD, but sure am asap.  (sigh).  Sometimes after my shift (at midnight) I just have to click over and listen to him once or twice and then I can let the day go and get myself to sleep.
Paul Newman
I feel Paul Newman was/is a man with much integrity and has done so many positive things in his life. I can relate to the blessing of having a long-time marriage (I am half his age but have been married over 20 years to a wonderful guy). I must have seen "Cool Hand Luke" dozens of times in my life. Paul never had to "push" himself towards others to leave a provoking and lasting impression on the positive side. I am glad he is no longer suffering. Now, heaven is able to enjoy those wonderful, full-of-life blue eyes.
saw Paul when Linda was still alive and with him
okay - I've done a lot of concerts!
Heard of Paul Potts yet?
I just learned of this man today. Google the name Paul Potts and go to the You Tube result, which should be the first result. There are three different videos of him: his audition, his semi-final performance and his winning performance. Tell me you didn't cry, even just a little, when you watched and listened. What an inspiration.
I would treat them like Paul Revere (SM)
Make em history!   You are better than that. I used to always try to figure out why someone acted a certain way. . like you I wondered what the problem was.  Found out from a wonderful psychologist who helped me over a terribly painful relationship that went bad . . It DOES NOT MATTER WHY. . what matters is that it happened. You need to move on. They are just not nice. I would think you took up bowling in the first place to have a good time!  GO FOR IT elsewhere!  GOOD LUCK!
Paul Mitchel and Prell
I have same problem. I like to use Paul Mitchel's Tea Tree Oil Shampoo, cuts down on the itching, can sometimes go an extra day. Once in a while I use a clarifying/chelating shampoo that I get from my son's salon. Also, I agree that color treated hair helps. As for where to buy Prell, try the dollar store. Comes in a different style bottle than the old days, now is in light green plastic bottle, probably about 12 oz or so. My mom recently gave me a bottle after cleaning things out and I used it to shave my legs and shampoo my hair.

That would be Paul and Carla Bernardo up in Canada...
And, yep, they stalked, tortured and killed (while videotaping) their victims. Carla's now a free woman who just had a baby, as scary as that thought may be.

Be careful, Emily Ayn!!!
I once transported a pony for Paul Anka's wife.

Any GH fans??? If so,
who is Maureen?
Hey N/T fans
I haven't asked in a while.  What did you all think of last night's episode?  It's getting really weird, weirder than usual.  I was actually grossed out quite a bit last night, but there were moments when I laughed out loud.
N/T Fans
Any Nip/Tuck fans out there.  It starts on Tuesday.  Have you seen the previews. It looks like it's going to be an incredible year.  The previews look great.  I can't wait until next week.
Hey N/T Fans
What did you think of the season finale last night?  The ending had me laughing.  Boy is Teddy weird.  I never would have guessed it.  I actually felt sorry for Kimber, and I'm not sure why.  I just don't like the fact that we have to wait until 2010 before we have a resolution.  Do you think Christian is going to tell Liz the news?  I have my doubts.
Any NFL fans out there?

I have been a Minnesota Vikings fan since I was old enough to understand what a first down was.  I was around 8 years old and it was in the mid 70's and they were good.  Didn't hurt that my dad was a Vikes fan and they wore my favorite color.  Tarkenton was a blast to watch, constantly eluding defenders.  We had our Purple People Eaters (Page, Eller, Larsen and Marshall) who ate up defenses.  These were the days where you could actually touch the QB and almost rip his head off without getting flagged.

Of course, The Vikes were always the first team to do bad things:

1.  First team to lose 4 Super Bowls.

2.  Only team to have a D-lineman pick up a fumble and run it to the wrong end zone, scoring a safetly for the other team.

3.  First team to go 15-1 and not make the SB (thank you Pittsburgh - we no longer stand alone).

4.  First team to score most points in a season (556) and not go to the Super Bowl).

5.  First and only team to trade away 17 players/draft picks for an over-the-hill Herschel Walker who did nothing for our team.

The list goes on, but you know what?  I've been with this team for 32 years and will be back for a 33rd.  I must either be mentally ill or a masochist.

BTW, I'm going to see them play in Cleveland on Sept. 13.  I've seen them 4 times live and I've had 2 wins, 2 losses.  All were preseason games.  This will be my first regular season game.  And yes, I'll be dressed in full Viking regalia.  I've seen then at Fawcett stadium against the Seahawks in the HOF game, twice at Foxboro against the Patriots and once at the Meadowlands against the Jets and I'll tell you what - the Jets were some extremely rude fans but from what I hear, they don't hold a candle to Giant, Philly or Raiders fans.

Any other pro football nuts?

Oh, and though I rarely get into college games, I now root for Ohio State since my nephew goes there.

We are NFC fans - Eagles, but sm
I am really rootin' for the kid (Manning).  What a game!  His father must be so proud.  He deserves a chance.  Those Patriots were certainly speechless.  Love a great competitive, action-packed football game.
AI Fans...what did you think of the *new* Sanjaya?
  WOW!  I'm speechless.  lol
Any fans of The Apprentice out there? sm
What did you think about the overall season?  I didn't like how they showed very little of the teams at work on each task, had increased product endorsements and at the end did not have a final task for the  last 2 candidates.  I do think that Stephanie & James were the best 2 to be there in the end.  I thought he would pick James since he had been the project manager so much but think Stephanie will do a fine job for him.   Also did you pick up on his telling Nicole on the last night that relationships had to come behind working for him?  Gees - what a jerk!
Well Idol Fans............
If anyone is voting for Blake after tonight's performances, you need to have your head examined!  No comparison. Vote fair
You all must be Dexter fans! LOL!
xx
Any other Bob Dylan fans out there? If so (see msg)

can you name one of your favorites by him?  I must have dozens of favorites, but I would have to put Lilly, Rosemary and Jack of Hearts right at the top five. I also love Forever Young.  Birth name is Robert Zimmerman.

for all you baseball fans out there...sm

Boston did rather well...At any World Series ya get a really exciting experience, especially if you're in the  nosebleed seats.  Cat

Any Dr. Phil fans out there?
He came to our town several weeks ago to help kick of the Toys for Tots campaign.  Some of that will be featured on his show today.
Fleetwood Mac fans

This is a Valentine special for Fleetwood Mac fans and acoustic guitar lovers - Lindsey Buckingham performing Big Love.

Survivor Fans????

What'd you all think of that blindside tonight?  I loved every minute of it.  While I'm not a fan of Natalie, I don't much care for Eric, either.  I'm pulling for Amanda, but unless she wins immunity, I don't think Parv and Cerie are going to take her to the final 3.

This has been the best season yet of Survivor.  The blindsides have been awesome!  I still can't believe Eric was that stupid to trust 4 women.

Any TrueBlood (HBO) fans?

The first time I caught the show I didn't like it, then one weekend I had nothing to do so watched all the episodes (HBO on demand), now I love the show.  I just found a clip of an interview with the guy who play Jason (Sookie's brother).  He's hot in the show and what a cutie (Aussie) in real person.  Seems like a truly genuine nice guy (which is rare in Hollywood).  If your interested I'm posting the link below.

Any other Maroon 5 fans out there?
I took my 16 year old daughter to their concert this summer and came away a bigger fan than she is!  Their music talks to me in a way no other has since the 60s (would you believe I'm 56?).  Now I devour everything I can get my hands on about them.  Great, great band!
AI fans- Who is going home?
I am not fond of Matt and wanted him gone the 1st time.
Any Cavs fans out there??
