Thanks mt2! I never watch commercials
drives my DH crazy cuz I always grab the remote from him during commercials to change the channels. I have gotten very good at watching at least 3 shows at one time. Guess maybe I should have been a man. LOL!
Ok, now I definitely have to watch it tonight
and not wait until Monday. :)
definitely watch tonight! enough said! nm

Saw this on the news tonight, did not watch
the show. BTW, we also wear shoes, guess that will be the next comment that will be taken at face value!
Please watch Nancy Grace tonight. She will have the tragedy that I sm

asked everyone to pray about 2 days ago - the family who lives 2 street over in Parkville, MD, who had 5 family members die in a  head-on crash returning home from a Christmas trip to Michigan.

This is such a horrific, tragic accident.

I never watch Nancy, but curious as to what the show is about.  If you want to see photos of this precious family you can visit www.myspace.com/bhjlv

This precious family's story should warn everyone about the dangers of drinking...Have a great night everyone.

No Hallmark family for me, either.
There's a picture of my family next to "dysfunctional" in the dictionary. When I married, I tried for many years to force not only my dysfunctional family but my husband's dysfunctional family into a little Hallmark picture frame. I did grand Martha Stewart holiday events at my house, spending hours cleaning, preparing gourmet meals, crafting little table decorations, etc. Of course it never worked out, and all that I ever got from those days was more disappointment and longing after something that I didn't have. Finally, we just stopped trying to make our families into what they would never be. My husband and I and our two children celebrate by ourselves. We give no gifts to anyone but those who live in our house, and even those are kept to a reasonable budget. That immediately took the financial stress out of the holidays. Now that our children are older and have lives of their own, we have an even quieter Christmas. There will be just three of us for Thanksgiving, and we'll still have a wonderful time. I put more effort into helping at food cupboards and Toys For Tots type programs, and that makes me happy.

It took me quite a while to stop trying for the Hallmark thing. And even after I made the decision to stop, I had to go through a few more years of mourning for it. Eventually I found peace with it all. While I don't have 35 people gathered around a golden turkey on a holiday eve, I do have a lot to be grateful for. Today, my life's motto is: It is what it is. Make the most of it.
Some see this as their 15 min of fame and will be

It is such a shame that her fame has caused
You hear so often of stars with private gardeners, make-up artists, etc.  Why not a private psychologist/psychiatrist/interventionist.  Such a cute girl and so much more life to live.  It sure does make you wonder if pushing your children into these types of fields is really the right thing to do.  I guess every job has its ups and downs, but I still wouldn't want to see my child have such turmoil when they were seen as "starlets" for so long.  I also think the media makes a big deal out of everything.  I don't think her actions are good choices, but I also think every little move the poor young mother makes is under scrutinization by the public.  You don't often hear about every day people dropping their kids and getting that much publicity.  Just like when Michael Jackson dangled his child over the balcony for example.  I have been around people that throw their children in the air and catch them.  This scares me, but I never see those same people on CNN that night throwing their child in the air and being scrutinized for that action.  JMO.
She'll be the typical 15 minutes of fame...
person. Jessical Hahn, Amy Fisher, etc., known forever for their sexploitation and scandal. They all play the poor victim, troubled home life, drug abuse, no one loves me - wah wah, poor babies- but sure are smart enough to make a buck selling their stories, taking off their clothes for magazines and then pleading to be "left alone" and then want to be taken seriously. Prostitute, high class call girl, escort, whatever, you can dress the pig up, but it's still a pig!
In a town hall
In Denmark by the mayor of the town.
birthday/fire hall
What fire department in the US allows smoking indoors?  I really don't need to know.  I'm sorry you had to endure that.  Cat
Hi Cat! I was told it was at a fire hall, but actually was SM
more like a legion, etc. Hope you know what I mean. .  much smaller than the fire hall which was down the street. I got lost three times, was not familiar with the town, even though it is not far from where I live, etc. Wow. . what a day. Thanks for caring. It is now 12:50 a.m. and my eyes are actually still burning!!
Meant carpet in hall not whole...nm

When I was 30 I cried because I was S/M
unmarried and no kids.  Then when I was 40 I had the flu with chills so bad I shook all over. They were the worst, but now years have gone by and I look back and wish so much I had done things differently.
she cried at end for Melinda Doolittle
just an overly emotional prepubescent 10 y/o girl is all that little girl was being - herself actually
I cried all through it, I'll miss it
:(
I cried my eyes out watching that.....sm
My hubby watched it with me and he turned to me and said that will us when we get older.

I am one of the lucky ones, I guess. We were teenage sweethearts and to this day are very much in love and have a strong relationship and wonderful foundation for our two teenagers!
my husband and i laughed til we cried!

I know what you mean. When I first saw it I cried for joy. Glad I could share SM
that with you. Hope tomorrow is better for you.
OMG!! I have cried a river reading this...sm
I am a softie for dogs anyway, and I especially have a special place in my heart for pit bulls and beagles too. This goes to show what wonderful dogs a pit can be. I am not surprised at all that this dog did this because a pit is one of the most smart, loving, feeling dogs you could ever meet. If they are raised right that is. It is so typical of a pit to risk his own life to save someone in need. This pit who some people claim are dangerous could have very well saved this woman and her son from a tragic end. And then for him to jump in her back seat as if to say please take me home. I just would have begged them to please let me take him home. I am glad to know if nobody claims him she will take care of him now because he deserves it. He truly is an "angel." THIS is why I love pit bulls. Until you know one you don't know the love they are capable of.
Oh my gosh, I almost cried reading this....
I had a pomeranian too and what a fabulous little dog they are! Mine could always make me smile with his antics, and yet was the sweetest and most loving little thing in the world at the same time. I cried almost hysterically all night and through the next day, even though I knew he was in a very, very good home. I had gotten him when I was disabled and home pretty much 24/7. When I recovered and was able to go back to work (I was working in-house), he did not adapt well to the shock of being home alone all day and began to get nervous habits, such as pulling out his hair, chewing his paws, etc., and I knew I had to get him into a home, preferably with someone retired or someone who was at least home the majority of the time. It just broke my hair. I'd see him and the couple whom I placed him with at the beach occasionally, and even though I could tell he was deliriously happy, it still broke my heart. I cannot imagine how much of a basketcase I would have been had someone stolen him from me. I don't how those pet thieves sleep at night, knowing they've deprived someone of a very beloved pet.

I know how lonely you feel, because I was there, too. If you have a particular small breed in mind, there are lots of breed-specific rescue sites on the internet. Just google, for example, "chihuahua rescue," and listings should pop up for your area. You can probably find a wonderful little dog that needs a home from one of the sites, and you'd be 'saving' it at the same time.

Good luck to you and I hope your heart heels soon. My little pom was the spitting image of Sharon Osborne's 'Minnie', and every time I see a cream-colored pom I get all sentimental.

Time to go get a tissue now....Good luck with your search!!! ~HUGS~

she cried equally at end for Melinda Doolittle

I remember crying over the Beatles when I was 14.....LOL

My current cat doesn't watch much TV, but my last one liked to watch hockey. sm
He would sit in front of the TV and swat at the puck now and then. The only time my current 4-year-old cat watches TV is if the TiVo restarts for some reason and that little animated video comes on with the dancing TV and the loud music. He's fascinated by that and will come running to sit and watch it.
I cried when they put that woman in the truck and said she died 2 days later

I called them today and begged and practically cried.
I also posted on the Folger's website.  And it's not just me.  I can't for the life of me imagine why they would do such a thing.  I guess life could be worse, but at the moment I can't imagine how, what with making 60% less than I did 2 years ago, getting stiffed on child support, no economic stimulus rebate, and now no latte.
I think those are some of the best commercials on TV!...nm

commercials

worst has to be cross between the geico cavement and the idiots that order from sonic drive-in.  although the trophy wife is getting REALLY OLD...

We have so many commercials
from accident lawyers - I hate it when they advertise to sue.
They have to fit the show around the commercials.

I could have done without almost everything except maybe 15-20 minutes.

The local car lot commercials
One in particular where the guy is huge and obnoxious and shouts his way through the whole commercial about his cars.  Why do they have to shout???
TV holiday commercials

Of course, there are zillions of commercials now with Christmas coming up.  I just had to tell you my favorite and see if you have one. This would be fun.  This week, there have been tons of diamond commercials on TV, Zales, etc.  There is one where the family comes down the stairs and somebody is sneaking a look in a present (it should be one of the kids).  All they show is the mom and a close up of her face being caught! Then they say something about diamonds etc.  I usually don't pay attention to commercials but I love that! She looks like a real mom, and I felt like that was what I would do, getting caught at sneaking a look. (Of course it would not be diamonds, but I'd still get caught even if it was a blender LOL).

Those and the herpes commercials...(sm)

Nice way to educate the kids!!
new tylenol commercials
skinny wrinkled old people exercising naked? Ewwwwww! I hate it!!!!!!
commercials for Nido

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GjPpdcPnzGU&feature=related

There are a bunch of nido commercials on youtube
Even the commercials for it are annoying.
I cringe every time they show a commercial for Coraline. I cannot imagine sitting through the entire movie.

:(
commercials for personal items.

I'm a sucker for the Avon TV commercials
x
Anyone else sick of the Geico caveman commercials?
Getting OOOOOOOLD!!
PetSmart commercials are pretty cute
Love the one where the man is with a big dog getting an ice cream cone and the dog is trying to stay put and not grab a little girl's ice cream, and the music... Sometimes it's hard to do the right thing.. and the dog is licking his chops.
all their commercials sadden me. Buy Pedigree people.

I've had the Clapper, the old commercials crack us up. My husband uses the Buxton Bag for his ca
he really likes it, has a lot of different zipper compartments and is the perfect size for his camera. My aunt has the Buxton, too and she really likes it.
Love the cell phone commercials (cingular?) about dropped calls
They are so funny.
It was on CNN tonight.

TONIGHT!
Oh, children.......Tonight is the night....Can't wait!
Not tonight.
It's my bowling night (time away from everyone) so it's fast food night, but I love using the crockpot in the fall and I've been looking on the internet for quick easy recipies that I've been trying for the past few weeks.
She may be gone tonight
Hopefully. I can't stand her. Did you notice that she was in the room of the people who were leaving and then they moved her to another room? Rose was the one who's parents had died she had blond hair and was very young. I liked her a lot. I think the guy who's wife died has an amazing voice. He was my pick. I also can't believe the guy who played that character actually made it through to the next round.
AI Tonight
I won't go into who made it either for those who may have it taped, but I was really pleased with the results and loved seeing Michael Johns. Loved him from last year and very hot in person. I hate the format this year like I mentioned above. I liked it better the other years, but this year we get 3 Wild Cards so maybe your favorites who don't make it in the next three weeks will be back.
AI Tonight
I think Lil and Matt or Lil and Anoop will go home tonight. I really do like Anoop though. My top three prediction, Adam, Danny and Chris with Adam winning. (Love Adam). I'd be very happy with a Danny win also. I'm getting my AI concert tickets when they go on said May 9th. I'm so excited!
Thanks for this! I will try this tonight....yummy. nm

AI is on tonight at 8, Dubya at 9! nm

Saw the kitty tonight!
We went to see the cat tonight.  She is doing as well as can be expected.  Very happy to see us.  Apparently, she does not like the tech who is watching her (stranger to her) but started to purr as soon as I scratched behind her ears.  Plus I brought her bed.  I just hope we brought some comfort to her.  It was very hard to leave though.  Once again, you all are a great group and your kind words are much appreciated!
