In Reply to: Laundry detergent - ??

used to use Tide but it's gotten to expensive. I have allergies and these are the only 2 products to date that I've found that I'm not allergic to.

Unscented liquid Kirkland from CostCo....
for hubby's clothing (he is the sensitive one!) and liquid Gain or Cheer good smelly stuff for my stuff and sheets, towels, etc. The Kirkland works great though. I have the big Sears front loader set so have to be careful and get HE detergent.
Whatever's on sale & unscented. Scented makes me itch! (nm)

with a hammer....
Be careful - if this was a personal computer and someone who is computer savvy gets a hold of it, your personal info is there for the taking. Passwords, documents, banking info, etc. Just because you deleted your info doesn't mean it is gone off your hard drive. Reformatting and repartitioning do not remove it. There are programs that claim they remove such info. Go to Kim Komando's web site to learn more. The alternative: take out the mother board and then take out the mother board with a hammer!
"hammer" as in MC Hammer nm

Probably to him, it's more like lending out a hammer
I really doubt that he thought of that as much more than you lending out his hammer to a neighbor. I guess he would have felt stupid saying, "Uh, yeah, we have one but I better ask before I let you use it."

If it's ruined, ask him to get you another one of the same quality. Chances are though that it's fine and no worse for wear.

Nice tree -- I bet a little Arm & Hammer would

So, I should have poured bleach on my roof

Ditto this. Only bleach the whites. nm

I have dulited bleach with water and used that before
and it did a good job without harming my skin. This was in very small areas. My hair is also short and I color my hair myself, so I often have little spots here and there.
Bleach spilled on carpet
Yikes! My son accidentally spilled a large round area of bleach on my tannish-colored carpet and now it has a lovely orange spot reminiscent of the color old orange shag carpets. Anybody know if I can re-dye this spot?
We do use our bleach for our pool instead of chlorine (cheaper)...
but never knew about peroxide being so useful! I have one bottle for cuts and scrapes for the kids but will have to get more now and put it in a spray bottle! Thanks!
A good carpet company can dye the carpet where the bleach spot is.
