I mean, do you have anybody you can talk to about it? I really wanted to tell a friend, but I couldn't figure out who I COULD tell. I just wanted to talk it out, but even though I have GREAT friends whom I thoroughly trust to keep the secret, I didn't want any of them to be burdened with the knowledge, you know?
I also didn't want them thinking differently of me for being in this situation, or thinking less of the other guy for confessing feelings to a married woman, or to feel weird around my husband simply for knowing something so personal about ME that my own husband wouldn't know.
So I'm sorting through it all myself, which is hard but may be for the best.
A lot of my friends aren't married yet themselves, so I don't think they could fully empathize with the situation. The married ones, well, most of them know my husband very well and I can't take that chance with the secret. I'm convinced my married friends haven't gone through this themselves, but how would I know? Maybe they're as good at keeping a secret as I am! And obviously others on here have gone through it, or are.
Here's to both of us getting through it...
