Just a bumper sticker saying. There is also one which says, Live and let live. I think the operative word here is *live* and you don't want the guy to die, so help him without enabling him. Another thing you can't do is try to tell an alcoholic what to do! I hope your husband gets the message and you all get to live happily ever after. It is not a social issue, it is a matter of life or death. Why argue about it? This lady asked for a life preserver and we are throwing rocks over which came first, the chicken or the egg? Pardon our ignorance and support your hubby, at least he had the gift of awareness, first step in the right direction. May God help you and your husband and family. Thanks for asking us to help, hope we didn't make things worse for you. Old-fashioned AA'ers that I know say, *Die - just don't drink!* They know how serious it is, they've walked in those shoes. IMHO
