I've heard many people don't believe Jacob exists. If black smoke exists, then why can't Jacob exist. I think Jacob is the black smoke or causes the black smoke. It has something to do with the volcano mentioned in the classroom, I believe. When you go to the official website you can see screen shots that I didn't see on the kind of older TV I have. There were 11 frames showing an image of Jacob. He looked like a half-mummified man in the shots. Remember the ring of dusty stuff around the house? Like volcanic ash? Weird. I don't think that would stay like that, looking undisturbed, for long, and how often is Ben able to hike out to that house if it was him staging all this? Why did it appear that Jacob's organs were in jars? Why would Jacob ask for Locke's help? I believe Ben can hear Jacob; he was having a conversation with him, after all. But apparently it means something if you are able to hear him, and Ben was afraid the torch of leadership was being passed to Locke, maybe. But how is he going to get away with murdering Locke if Jacob can get around the island as smoke?
Can you believe Ben was able to kill his own father? Locke wasn't. Where is Ben's little girlfriend? She sure didn't look like Russeau.
I think Dharma Initiative may have been a true scientific research project that was attempting to do good, but Ben is all messed up from losing his mother and his father being an alcoholic.
Why does the handsome guy, Richard (? dark Other with eye liner)look any older now than he did when Ben first met him?
I can't believe how long they are going to make us wait between seasons. Torture.
