Help! Bedbugs!

My husband travels a lot, and about a year and a half ago his bed got infested with bedbugs (boy am I glad we sleep in separate rooms - never thought my snoring would be a benefit!). He researched it on the internet and did everything he could short of calling an exterminator, and he did get rid of most of them, but not all.

So.....last summer we moved into a new house and we got him a new bed. Now the new bed is infested! And he has been so careful - when he comes home from a trip, he leaves all his clothes out in the garage and even strips before he comes in the house, and we wash his clothes and put them through the hottest dryer cycle before we bring them into the house. We don't keep the suitcases in the house, either - they are in the attic.

Has anyone found anything that works? We are getting ready to call an exterminator, but I really hate to have toxic chemicals like that in the house. I would really like to find a natural remedy if I could.

TIA.
