He sees the school psychologist once a week, has an IEP program for school and spends a lot of time with the special ed teacher/students. We also have a system in place now that if he screws up at home, he loses a reward at school. We just started the Respirdal 2 weeks ago and moved up to 1 mg at night the other day. It seems to be helping him stay in bed/asleep at night. I really don't like having him on all this medication either but he can't function with out it.
He was by himself when he shoplifted. He was upset at me for something and took off while I was helping his brother with homework. He was gone for 3 hours and the police picked him up when he was walking around, took him back to the store and then called me and brought him home. He now has a probation officer that we have to go see today. He's also going before some sort of youth council. A couple of different people are helping me look for a mentor for him. I'm a single mom, dad has never met him.
