surprised that your vet did not immediately want to see the dog and work him up, even with just basic blood work like metabolic levels, thyroid, etc. After all the times you called, and he just said observe, I would be seeking second opinions. I don't know, I live on the east coast and the vets demand the dogs to be seen for anything - even fleas! And the $$ sure can be prohibitive. But seizures can be simple metabolic disorders that are easily corrected with other meds rather than antiseizure meds. Or, of course, seizures can be indicative of something awful. I would definitely bring my dog in and demand at least a sit-down face-to-face or face-to-snout conference with the vet. Please keep us posted!
