Same her with regard to messy room
My daughter can be a super slob at times. I ask her if she has someone living under her bed as there's so much stuff under there. LOL. She has to keep it vacuumed and dusted once a week also. As long as it's semi picked up, I have no problem with it.
lol, I hear you...I've only gotten a bit bigger as I'm getting older
and with the right underwire bra and a couple of those chicken cutlet-looking fake things, I can actually even get some cleavage! Woo-Hoo! lol
Might try coconut oil from the health food store. It's solid at room temp., so you can rub it in

I've been in homes with intercoms wired into each room.

I love what my kids say occasionally... "Get a room!' Cracks me up.

I've had it a long time

I've had IBS since I was little and I'm now 30.  I have many different symptoms including diarrhea, gas, bloating, heartburn, and upper and lower abdominal pain.  I used to have constipation alternating with diarrhea, but I haven't had a problem with constipation in a few years.  Anyway, stress is the major triggering factor for me and I also have panic attacks/anxiety so it's a vicious cycle.  When I get anxious I get an IBS attack and when I get an IBS attack, I panic.  So, my doc placed me on Bentyl for the IBS and I take something for the anxiety as well.  Hope you find what works for you.  It's not fun living with IBS but at least there are ways to manage it and make life more peaceful.

I've always kept my hair long..sm

You can do some very chic styling with french braids, cingons, up-dos, french twists when you need to.

Since it grows so quickly, I've been able to donate to locks of love a coupla times...Right now after a shearing it's just below my shoulder blades....

All of us have bad hair days, but some folks have no hair days.  Please consider donation if you are so inclined.  Cat

Maybe so, as long as you dont have kids with him.

You've waited at least 5 years too long already.
Your boyfriend has the best of both worlds and has no reason to marry you. If you stay with this person out of "love" I guarantee you will look back on your life one day with deep regret.

More concerning is that you say the other man is able to take care of you. Is that what you're looking for, someone to take care of you? You can't expect another person to make you happy or to validate your worth; it can only come from you.

I think your biggest issue is lack of self-esteem, and if you learn to love yourself the question about your relationship will answer itself.

They've been radical for a long time!...

Since there are kids involved, I'd think long and hard (sm)
about leaving him. It's quite easy for others to tell you he needs to be dumped, but they sure won't live with the aftermath.

Take the 100k and remodel the house. Forget adding on. Spend the money on creating a fabuous kitchen with hearth room, fix structural defects, redo the kids' rooms; totally redecorate exactly the way you want with no regard to his taste, and get a nice new minivan to haul the kids around to play dates.

Oh, spare a little money to build a bedroom in the barn. He loves the yard and barn so much, he can live there.

See, this way if you stay and work on your marriage, you'll have a beautiful home you can live with. If his selfish ways finally push you beyond tolerance and love for him, you'll have a great house to put on the market. With your half of the sale, you'll finally be able to have the home you've always dreamed of. It's a win-win for you.
No, I've watched this gal for a long time on the boards &

What is a STRAIT concert? And how do you not know how long you've been married? nm

So sorry, I've had it and so has one of my kids
The best thing to do for yourself is rest, rest rest. It took a couple of weeks for me to stop feeling like death and about a month before I felt like myself again. The important thing is DON'T PUSH YOURSELF.

Feel better soon!
Something I've done for each teacher my kids
have had is to get a frame from Things Remembered and engrave the year on it with a picture of my child. They all loved this gift a lot. You could always engrave something along with the year if you wanted. If you want to add something to it, I know most people love to get a $5 or $10 gift card to somewhere like Starbucks or get her a nice box of chocolates.
I've always loved Tim! Now, my kids
(6 and 7) love him, especially Last Dollar. That is their favorite song. Have fun!
If OP wants to be messy, get own place. But then

But you don't think spaghetti would be messy??

Show us your messy desks! (pic inside)

I thought this would be a fun way to liven up another boring day... show off your messy home work areas!  Here's mine, let's see yours!

Ya know....I like the bigger ones
because I like so many different kinds of music.  I've got them all broken down by genre and artists.  I can either listen to a specific genre or listen to a specific artist.  However, most of the time I just put it on songs and put it on shuffle and I get a wide range of mix throughout the day.  I don't know that I could use one of those small shuffle ones because it just wouldn't hold enough songs for me.  I've got almost 2K songs on mine and I haven't even made a dent in DH and I's CDs.
Perhaps the bigger question is this....sm
Why does the guy feel he has to mow his lawn at 8:30 at night? I don't know about the city you live in, but in my city we have a noise/nuisance ordinance. And it covers more than just barking dogs.

Perhaps New Englander needs to check out her local noise ordinances. I have used it before and it works. It got a drug house torn down, a neighbor had to give up his pit bulls, and it got the city out to our street to plow more than one time during the winter. And I live in Michigan.

New Englander, you have my sympathy.
Better get used to. This will be bigger than Elvis...
and people still talk about Elvis, tour Graceland, and celebrate his birth/death every year. My gosh, MJ is the greatest, most iconic star that ever lived and he hasn't even been buried yet.
floor option
I have terra cotta-ish tile in my kitchen and love it. You can buy the grout already matching and it's so easy to clean. Also, if you live where there's any red Georgia mud/clay, it doesn't show up if someone (kids) tracked in the house. Area rugs look pretty on it. Keep in mind that whatever you put down, if there are area rugs, the cat will likely puke on them rather than the flooring! LOL
I'd rather sleep on the floor

“I just can’t look at that ugly floor any more!”
Caption it !! See image below.
No, why did she put a pot down on the floor/carpet? - nm
xxxx
Just put everything up about 3 feet from floor.

Move all plants up to counters and maybe a gate for the kitchen so you don't have to worry about babe getting into cupboards.  Also for any stairs.  They have those socket covers that are very cheap and I would put them in outlets and always make sure the toilet seat is down. Other than that, enjoy.

Look at the bigger picture down the road.....

i accidentally jerked a bigger one
off when it got hung in my bath poof -- ouch! but couldn't quite bring myself to snip the others off.
How to get print to stay bigger
When I am in a report or just on the internet, my print is very small. Now I know how to zoom in or use my control and mouse to get the print bigger- for that particular page but then it reverts down to hardly can read when I get off that particular page. I would like to have bigger print for all pages or I am gonna have to get a seeing eye dog before long. Husband has a change zoom level on his and his print stays same for all he looks at. Why cannot I have the same?? Thanks.
Well the USGS says it was a 5.6 - bigger than I thought!
Centered in the Alum Rock area (hills east of San Jose), depth of about 5 miles. Most likely on the Calaveras Fault.
Looks like you guys need a bigger chair!
Boy, have they settled right in or what?!  That is absolutely wonderful!  You guys must be so happy!
I think even a bigger one. I still trust Obama..
It is said that M wears the pants at home and I bet that she reminds him every day that she gave up her job for him!

Need the input on floor coverings
I had installed tile which I really love throughout my kitchen and the hallway which runs off the kitchen. I now have decided to tile my living room and great room plus 1 hallway. The living room and great room run off this previous tile I had installed. I love the color and would like to have the same there but hubby thinks we should have another color. I am totally undecided. Has anyone tiled and put in 2 different colors next to each other, how do you like and give me some thoughts from others. Thanks
Lumber Liquidators for the floor

Mazel Tov - Hebrew for Good luck, Congrats, et al.....not a lot of people know Hebrew but I, for one, understood the words of the other poster....

Did my floor from Lumber Liquidators as they seemed to have the BEST prices.  Once you do the floor, the rest should come easy - you would match the floor to your furniture for blending purposes (in your head) and I found the rest fairly easy once I painted the rooms.....Have fun if nothing else!!

Yes. When I worked on the floor as an aide

It seemed a lot of the RNs thought they were the most elite part of the hospital/society and treated everyone that way.  What I despised most though is that they would do their patient assessments, charting, then sit around the nurses station and gossip while we did the majority of the work and they would try to shove as much as their job on us as they could, even things we were not qualified to do.  They also were the most unprofessional people.  They were the ones that tended to make fun of a patients ailments, body habitus, lack of education etc., than any other personnel in that hospital.

There were some good RNs though that knew their place but it seemed that they were few and far between.  The real good RNs did not stay long at that little rinky-dink county hospital, they were just there to get their experience and go to bigger and better places.  Glad that is ancient history for me now as far as dealing.

Be the bigger person and forgive! Course my opinion

What about soccer? Bigger, more brightly-colored - (sm)
ball, and less chance of major injuries. I think running & kicking is more natural & healthy for kids than the pounding football would give them. Especially at that age, and if, as you said, the coach is running them into the ground and dissolving them to tears just during the "conditioning" process. Seems kinda' brutal for any 7-year-old, regardless of eyesight.
I think the Senate has bigger problems on its hands than
If Florida is so concerned about its workers being on drugs, perhaps it should do a better job of patrolling its own borders, and stemming the massive flow of drugs that comes onshore there every single day.
It's nice, but food prices insane and food is really bad,

Am considering installing a Pebble Tech floor.

I wonder if Pebble Tech is the right choice.  One adult, four animals, 1400 sq. foot.  What I am concerned about is being able to keep it clean and how comfortable they are to walk on with bare feet.  Cost is fairly reasonable when compared to tile and the look I like (the beach!).

Anyone have experience with this type of flooring?  Will it make my home look like a business rather than a home?  Is keeping it clean a hassle?

Thank you much!

Need opinion on hardwood floor vs linoleum

We hope to put new flooring down in the house soon.  I really like the look of linoleum in the kitchen.  We are having a hard time deciding on a carpet color.  A light neutral color or maybe a lighter green would be nice but any lighter color will show everything I'm sure.  We have a really dark burgundy carpet now.  Although I don't really care for the color it is now, it has really held up to stains since it is so dark.  We thought of putting hardwood floors down but not sure if we want to put it in the kitchen too.  I'm thinking it would probably look better to carry the hardwood floor throughout the house--including the kitchen--but I really would rather have linoleum there.  How would the hardwood floor (probably the medium color--not the real light or the real dark) look next to a kitchen with linoleum?  Would that be tacky?

Thanks for the opinions.  I really can't decide.  We know we will be looking at it a really long time so we want to be satisfied with our decision.

I remember sliding out of a chair and sleeping on the floor (sm)
at my MIL's house during first trimester. Just seemed to drop off so easily and they were soooooo boring.

Good luck to you. Hope you have a healthy and happy pregnancy.
Two 2 a seat?? UR kidding? I'll stay on the floor.

No spasms. The levator ani muscle and the pelvic floor
muscles have separated.  The pelvic floor muscles don't cause a lot of problems.  Unfortunately, with the levator ani separating, I have some fecal incontinence.  Not a lot, but enough to be really aggravating at times. This doesn't even happen every day.  It's just kind of random and I never know when it's going to happen.
Can anyone that has an older vinyl floor that is dull tell me how to get it to shine a little but
not make it slippery with wax.  Thanks much.
However, you need to be clear about what YOU want and not just tell them
that it's their job.  You do have some responsibility in this as a parent.  Tell them that you expect them to help your daughter get caught up along with the rest of the children who are behind, and that your child being behind is directly due to the result of poor handling during her kindergarten year when there was lengthy teacher absence and that because of that, their rules regarding children having to be 6 months behind academically is moot.  You might suggest that they provide a separate classtime with the children who are behind with direct emphasis on only the problem areas and quickly get them back on track.  Good luck.
Should have been more clear, huh? - LOL

Thank you, too. It is so very clear to me that SM

you are the type of person to love with all your heart. My sister during the last week of her cat's life slept on the floor with Mary Beth (her beautiful cat of many years) because Mary Beth could no longer jump up and down from the bed. We do things we never thought we would do for these beautiful creatures God has given us. You are such a loving pet owner. That made me cry reading your posts. I celebrate the life of your cat and the love you gave her. I celebrate the life of all the pets my family has owned, loved and still miss. We all feel what you are feeling and you are not alone. Your love enabled you to give her all those years, and I believe your love will get you through.
