Ya know....I like the bigger ones
because I like so many different kinds of music.  I've got them all broken down by genre and artists.  I can either listen to a specific genre or listen to a specific artist.  However, most of the time I just put it on songs and put it on shuffle and I get a wide range of mix throughout the day.  I don't know that I could use one of those small shuffle ones because it just wouldn't hold enough songs for me.  I've got almost 2K songs on mine and I haven't even made a dent in DH and I's CDs.
I am not an Obama fan but....
the fact is he is our next president. I keep stressing to myself that we have to support him or this country will go nowhere. I am proud that our country has been open-minded enough to vote a bi-racial person as president. I am a bit sad that this is being portrayed as such a "star-studded" event. The "stars" have every right to be just as excited as "the commoners", but I wish it was more about the fact that we have a new president and hopefully this country is headed in a different direction. I will be watching some, what I can and I hope others will as well.
Perhaps the bigger question is this....sm
Why does the guy feel he has to mow his lawn at 8:30 at night? I don't know about the city you live in, but in my city we have a noise/nuisance ordinance. And it covers more than just barking dogs.

Perhaps New Englander needs to check out her local noise ordinances. I have used it before and it works. It got a drug house torn down, a neighbor had to give up his pit bulls, and it got the city out to our street to plow more than one time during the winter. And I live in Michigan.

New Englander, you have my sympathy.
Better get used to. This will be bigger than Elvis...
and people still talk about Elvis, tour Graceland, and celebrate his birth/death every year. My gosh, MJ is the greatest, most iconic star that ever lived and he hasn't even been buried yet.
I agree with M Obama
She was simply stating that she is proud of what is happening now in our country. Too many people who are for the Clintons are trying to pick apart every single little word that she or Barack says. I'll tell you though in my adult life since the Clintons and the Bush's have been in office there IS nothing to be proud of!

Let me ask these questions....are you proud that we went to war that we shouldn't have and are you proud that our troops are needlessly being killed and we've got a guy now who says this is going to go on for the next 100 years? Are you proud that America has homeless and hungry yet the rich live in mansions and own 4 and 5 jet planes all parked in front of their house? Are you proud that our education system doesn't pay the teachers what they should be paid? Are you proud that Americans are losing their jobs due to outsourcing to other countries? That americans can't afford health care, that americans are losing their houses? Gosh I could go on and on and on. There is not too much to be proud of now a days. Especially when one group is tearing each other apart trying to steal others delegates and pretty much are going to just "place" themselves in the position because they believe its rightfully theirs...I say enough is enough!

I have also listened to a lot of her other speeches and she is a very eloquent speaker and proud of her family and husband. So she messed up and used the word "first". Sheesh! Give her a break. If you want to start picking apart word for word what people say lets go on down the line with ol Billy boy. I personally like Ms. Obama and believe she would make an eloquent first lady. She inspires people to do things with their lives.
Obama should too, then he'll look a little
like AL Sharpton .
Michelle Obama
I think she seems really intellgent, and would just like to chat with her on multiple topics.

In this undated photo released by the White House, the Obama family's new dog, Bo, a 6-month-old Portuguese water dog, is shown at the White House in Washington.

How to get print to stay bigger
When I am in a report or just on the internet, my print is very small. Now I know how to zoom in or use my control and mouse to get the print bigger- for that particular page but then it reverts down to hardly can read when I get off that particular page. I would like to have bigger print for all pages or I am gonna have to get a seeing eye dog before long. Husband has a change zoom level on his and his print stays same for all he looks at. Why cannot I have the same?? Thanks.
Well the USGS says it was a 5.6 - bigger than I thought!
Centered in the Alum Rock area (hills east of San Jose), depth of about 5 miles. Most likely on the Calaveras Fault.
Looks like you guys need a bigger chair!
Boy, have they settled right in or what?!  That is absolutely wonderful!  You guys must be so happy!
Obama seems great as far as politicians go.

He is a democrat but was raised by a republican mother and seems to realize that family values of healthcare in America, especially for our elderly and our children, is very important as well as education.  He has a straightforward way of speaking and acutally answering questions that I really like.

No politician is perfect, but his honesty is refreshing, and I hope he has a good shot.  Hilary and him running together would be an interesting concept.  hmmm

I don't want to get all political, but Michelle Obama has been sm

quoted as saying, "for the first time in my adult life I am proud of my country."

This statement made me wince. I can't help but think of all of the GREAT wives of American Presidents who would never say such things about this great country we call home. For the first time in her adult life? What's so bad about this GREAT country that she isn't proud of?

I don't know. Is it just me or do others agree that we should have a First Lady in the White House who will stand behind her country through thick and thin? What's going to happen if in a year or two something else happens and she is no longer proud of this country? What kind of First Lady will she be then?

I think you should be president if you love America, born and raised in America, are Christian, and have solid convictions, and believe in the constitution.

Exactly. And these Obama fans need to give it up. I mean, we don't like sm
Obama for numerous reasons and some dumb email isn't going to change my mind either way.

What about soccer? Bigger, more brightly-colored - (sm)
ball, and less chance of major injuries. I think running & kicking is more natural & healthy for kids than the pounding football would give them. Especially at that age, and if, as you said, the coach is running them into the ground and dissolving them to tears just during the "conditioning" process. Seems kinda' brutal for any 7-year-old, regardless of eyesight.
I think the Senate has bigger problems on its hands than
If Florida is so concerned about its workers being on drugs, perhaps it should do a better job of patrolling its own borders, and stemming the massive flow of drugs that comes onshore there every single day.
TAKE TO POLITICAL BOARD. All you want to do is fuss about Obama
It makes no difference to any fair minded person if he got the dog at the shelter, off the street, had him given to him. It just does not matter in the scheme of life. Go back to the other board. They may appreciate you there. This is the gab board and we are only talking about a little black and white doggie. You are not contributing anything we wish to hear.
JAWS: "I think we're gonna need a bigger boat."

The reply was regarding the misinformation in the Obama e-mail that has been circulating
for months and is widely acknowledged to be full of lies, not about Mrs. Obama's speech.
No one is arguing that Mrs. Obama said this. Someone posted that old, tired Muslim e-mail.
That is what the "check your facts comment was about." Anyone who watches the news has seen the sound bites from Mrs. Obama's appearance this morning.
I say trust your gut-
drownings can happen so easily, even with good supervision. If the other boy's father is going to be drinking who knows what could happen. Plus I have learned in my life that when my gut tells me something I really need to listen. Better that your son be unhappy with you for short while but alive and well.
I do not believe a trust

will jeopardize her other benefits.  You should have an attorney who is well versed in this type of thing to go over all the ins and outs of the situation.

Trust
In this day and age.....I don't trust anyone....whether it is child, mother, sister, cousin.......You never know what frame of mind a person is in.......Sorry.....I should have never posted....just wanted to get some insight....not to get knocked down because of a decision I made....
When it comes down to it, you have to trust
your daughter, no matter how old the boyfriend may be.
I do trust her - sm
The problem is her dad. It took her, a counselor, and me to convince him to even get him to agree to let her see him in the mall. I agree with the other posters - I'd like to get him over here to dinner or something, maybe a BBQ now that it's getting warmer. Just have to figure out how to let Dad know they're communicating again.

no one will be looking at the state of your house.  But definitely getting everyone in the household involved and sharing responsibility will give them all a satisfied feeling of being able to contribute.  If you are doing all the cooking, lots of things can be done days in advance, a little at a time.  It will get done -- try not to sweat it too much.  Believe me, your guests will be so grateful that is wasn't them having to do it, they will look at you as the hero!
I don't trust them
They just don't seem to be accurate, and I don't like that they want you to give them information such as your address.
Trust yourself.
You already know the truth. Trust your own instincts. Face whatever you know to be the truth and deal with that.

When we begin asking others, we already have the knowledge but want others to confirm it for us.

You will make the right decision for yourself.

I understand your disappoinment...I'm sorry you had to catch him in a lie...that's the worst.

Stick to your initial plan and don't give in....He's gotta regain/earn your trust back at this point before you let him have the car.  The end of the semester may seem like an eternity, but it's only about 8 or 9 weeks and then he'll be home for Christmas break.  He'll live and perhaps thank you some day.

It appears the girlfriend's parents and you are on the same page.  That's a big plus.

trust your heart
Trust yourself and trust in God, as well as your doctors. They would not want anything bad to happen to your baby. By the way, if you ever have a chance to go see the Body World 3 exhibit you would love the embryo/fetus exhibit. It is absolutely amazing what a 4wk embryo looks like and how he/she develops by 16 weeks into an absolutely perfectly formed baby. I wish you the best of luck. Please keep us updated on your progress.

Anyone ever been trustee of a Special Needs Trust?

I've been the trustee of my older sister now since 2001 when our mother died.  She is mentally retarded because she fried her brain on LSD and mescalin when she was a teenager, also is bipolar and on SSDI.

She just called me to say she is on the edge of losing all of her benefits, including her state-funded housing, because her love toy went and blabbed to the housing authority that she was getting this "extra" money and it's a huge amount.  Well, it's not a huge amount by any means, not even $40,000 to last her lifetime.  I'm sure she and her benefits are protected via the whole category of "Special Needs Trust" but to say my blood pressure is up is an understatement of the decade.

I just want to drive 8 hours to smack the sh*t out of her and her G-spot Johnny (did I mention she's also hypersexual?!) boy toy.  Now, I'm not a violent person, but the attorney told me that the government could also come after me if they feel there has been any sort of fraud here.  I'm not the one that did drugs, yet for some reason this responsibility was tossed in my lap.  Hmmm...could be that whole atheist thing and this is mom's retribution.

So, anyone know anything about Special Needs Trusts I should be particularly concerned about?

You say spanking does not build trust?
It sure makes a kid do good, though. I would not raise my kids to be terrors and surely not with g'kids. I just do not have it period.
Good advice. Wish we could trust everyone. . . NM

addressing trust issues...
I am so sorry you don't trust pitbulls. If you owned one you would feel differently.
I agree, trust your pets
Dogs or cats for that matter. Whether they sense trouble or they sense the personality, it doesn't really matter. They are sending you a message and you should listen. Animals are known for being loyal to their owners at all cost. It's their nature. Have you ever been sick and had your dog lay next to your bed the entire day...same sort of thing. They are being loyal and protecting you. You don't have to tell them; they just know something isn't right.

I have had this experience with several pets, including my cat. Yes, I said my cat. lol She is like a dog in a lot of ways. They just know when something is off and they will tell you the best way they can. I never tell them a person is okay or to stop barking. If things are okay or the person is okay they will stop on their own without me saying a word. Somehow they just know.
