that your rib pain is soft tissue and not the bones, but I think taking Vitamin D is not a bad idea (make sure you take calcium too). I'm not sure on the amount, but I'm sure you can Google to find it.

I know it seems impersonal to a lot of people, but if you can't figure out her size, how about a gift certificate? I always ended up taking clothes back whenever I got them for Xmas...and I learned to appreciate the gift certificates, that way I could pick out what I really wanted myself....just a thought, though.....
