I am so hoping something finally brings this

case to an end, and those who loved her can somehow go on.  I cannot believe that Casey Anthony continues to rant on and on with the same stores and act so concerned, saying all she cares about is Caylee.  Dear God, help the parents when they get the final news if this is Caylee.  I believe to her dying day Casey will never admit any wrong doing.  Everything she has said from the beginning has been a lie.  If my dog, literally, were missing I would be a  mess and unable to work.  Her child was supposedly taken from her and she is out shopping and partying and draping her naked body in the American flag.  She makes me ill.

Brings to mind
Michael Jackson's little court room dramatics- hobbling into court in his PJs acting like he was at deaths door.

Do they really think the judge is gonna go "ohhh, poor thing, I can't send them to jail if they don't feel well!" Gimme a break!

Paris's "medical condition" is obviously not so severe that it kept her from going out and getting drunk and driving.

And please, I had a friend who had full blown AIDS and was still required to serve most of his sentence.
Brings back memories
In my upper years now but when I was around 11 or 12 had a penpal in France. Still remember getting letters from her. What a wonderful time for all!
That brings back great memories! :) (nm)

I guess you're one of those that brings gifts?
LOL.

I'm sure I speak for most couples out there. Maybe you are elderly? Not sure. You think 10000 is a lot. I didn't say I went over budget at all and we invited only people very close to us, 100 people is nothing for a wedding. And the average for a nicer wedding nowadays is probably 25000.

It just would be nice if people like yourself understood the bride and groom just incurred a very big expense and found a way to help them out so maybe they could take a nice honeymoon????????

In reality, ma'am, I think that is what the money is for.

After reading some of these posts, I am just so thankful I have such generous/caring family and friends.

Oh, and should we call 911?

That brings back memories! My sister's

boyfriend made that for dessert once years ago. They have since broken up, which I have regretted because I miss the DESSERT!  LOL! Don't tell her I said that!

This just brings it back to the Halloween talk-
We are NOW allowed as adults to wear masks as in covering our face for Halloween- at least in my section of the country. We might be thieves but others can! Love your post, by the way.
Every body brings baby gifts. sm
Bring something sensual for the mom. A basket of body lotions, bath lotions, maybe something feminine to wear after the birth. I loved that. I had plenty of diapers, newborn clothes, and baby gadjets already. Something for just ME was really appreciated. My favorite gift for the baby was a musical lion that played "You Are My Sunshine". Baby totally loved that, for a couple of years.
So did mine! That brings back memories. nm
xx
Well, isn't that what she was hoping ; ) lol

I'm hoping for the best here . . .
also agree about the lay-out, I like this board.
I am hoping you get the help you seem like you need
You have yelped and yelped about something you know nothing about. It sounds as if you were missing some money. My brother's wife remarried 1 YEAR after brother's death in 1973 which was 31 years PRIOR TO my father's death. His wife WOULD NOT HAVE ANYTHING for her. SHE WAS NOT AN HEIR. Last known living in Knoxville in 1973 - has someone wronged you on inheritance that you are so absorbed in what has gone on here. Please try to relax and get the help you need. Take a chill pill.
That brings back unpleasant memories. Glad that's over with. nm

the term *eliminated* brings horrible memories

*eliminate, exterminate* when it comes to talking about humans (even if the perp here in your article acted inhumane)...

horrible memories, i.e., The Final Solution from 1939-1945....

please find another word....thank you.

What else would you expect in a state that brings you Hillary Clinton.

Name one thing that brings a smile to your face everyday

Or more if you can't decide.

Mine is petting my cat and giving her kisses on her belly and watching her roll around purring really loudly. (okay, so I don't have any kids to give kisses to so this is the next best thing).

Don't have whole story...was hoping
some of you guys did!
Most are just hoping to have some joy for their kids sm
We're all in a hurry trying to get our work done so the kids can have a nice holiday. Perhaps we are hasty and hurried, as well as tired. Look at what we're going through. Some little kids only have the Santa thing to look forward to, even though the rest of us know it's all fantasy. They do put it together at a certain age and it's all a personal family decision what to do regarding Jolly Old St. Nick. We had an older kid who spoiled our Christmas party because he thought it his business to "out" the Santa thing to the younger ones as he was, bless him, highly intelligent and was told the truth from birth. Had some kids crying at one point. I think the point is, do what's right for your own family and try to have something for the kids to look forward to in these hard times especially. There is no right or wrong, just all interpret things differently and we're all very tired of all this bad news going on in the world. Have to look forward to something! Happy Holidays, no matter how you celebrate! We adults know the reason for the season. Bottom line - be happy! Life is temporary, imagination is wonderful, it takes us away from the bad news for awhile. Joy to the world and to each his own. As long as the older kids keep the secret to themselves, they also should enjoy the excitement of watching the little ones have fun with it. It's all good.
Hoping they all get arrested
Easter Sunday here in major city 5 people killed in an accident, 3 children and 2 adults with the person causing the accident leaving. There has been an intense manhunt since that time with a tip coming in yesterday about the vehicle involved. The vehicle had been hid in a home gargage since the accident. A 22-year-old lady now arrested but 5 counts of homicide by vehicle but get this- her mother and grandmother were advised what had happened 2 days after the accident and they did nothing about calling the police. I hope now they have to pay the piper because they were involved in a coverup.

Hey, all of our central FL MTs out there! Prayers for you and hoping sm

ya'll are doing fine! I just heard that some twisters produced winds of more than 300 mph. Unbelievable. Even stronger winds than a cat 5 hurricane.

Lots of people out there need our prayers and supupport.  Let us remember them today at all of their devastating loss.  May God give them rest and peace today........

The part about you hoping never have same feelings about your son
I would have never thought in a million years I would ever be alienated from my son but am and it has been at least 3-4 years since I saw or talked with him. He tried and I say tried, to say things that he should have never said against me. I wish him the best but I would never stand by and hear what came out of his mouth to come out again. I cut any and all ties with him and his family.
We were hoping she would've moved them by now
Because I was in and out of the car last night counting little furry heads but I guess it didn't bother her.  Guess I'll go find a box.  Thanks!
I am hoping to find out the answer to this soon - sm
Now that we are not using the heat much, and it is getting warmer outside I will be hanging out the clothes. Electric $150 a month November thru April, but jumps up to $250 when using the AC, which I suspect we will keep rather high this year in order to save some money. So my hanging the clothes out will help offset the AC as well. If I can keep it at about $150 a month with the AC on I will be quite happy.
Hoping you had a great 1st date and wondering if you are still on it???
Details! lol
Thanks for the update! Hoping the meds work
for your pooch!
Apparently, producers are hoping Sanjaya

I think she is hoping to help save his political career so (sm)
she tries to appear supportive - for future money for herself probably. To keep him from going completely down the tubes so he can support his children. Won't work in this case I'm sure though. But it also could be that they feel sorry for the guy...I mean not only does he have to deal with his betrayed wife, he has to face the entire country and lose his career. He's probably near suicidal. I would probably have to feel sorry for my husband if he were in those circumstances, just a a basic human compassion.
Hoping for some words of encouragement on 16 YO daughter. sm
Hello everyone. The saga continues. We have had her grounded since Friday and I saw her Psy.D. yesterday who gave me some advice. She said the best thing to do is to try to be nice and try to work with her in a positive manner, but in small steps. She said that if she decides to leave, there's nothing we can do about it, which I already knew. She said to voice that to her and let her be the one to make that decision, but supposedly that would take the power away from her. She also said that it was useless to try to keep her away from her friends, as she would do whatever it took to be with them. So I came home and told her that I loved her, did not want her to go, but the ultimate decision was hers. I gave her the cell phone back and told her that for her to be able to keep it, she needed to be civil so we can keep a civil atmosphere in the home and no more call me names and cursing at me. She agreed. That was yesterday. I told her that we would take things slow and she would have to earn back her privileges. Well, that's just not good enough for her. She wants it all right away, her way and when she wants. Wants to go out as many nights as she chooses and since it is summertime it is not fair that we don't let her go out. Unbelievable. I told her that we were unwilling to do that and the grounding stood through to the end. After that we would see how it went and start with one night out a week. She can't seem to grasp the concept that at 16 she cannot make these decisions.

Bottom line, I think it will be inevitible that she will at some point leave. I made her an appointment to see this Psy.D. on Friday, but we'll see if I can keep her here long enough for that and whether she will be willing to go.

I am at my wits end. The counselor said I needed to be patient and to continue to be nice. I think that would be easy to do if I saw that my daughter was willing to do her part, which she is obviously not keen on. I almost feel like I am wasting my time and I am so discouraged by her lack of wanting to participate in this.

I guess I have to prepare myself for the worst. This is so hard.

Thanks for listening.
I'm starting my own line of kid's soaps, hoping it will take off
:)
I was hoping I heard wrong this morning.

I was watching The View where they were showing some previews of the interview with Ryan that is going to air tomorrow night and near the end of the show, Barbara W. stated it would be a tribute to her.

It was the same at our school with the boys and the pictures and girls with the hairdo. Nothing like being an individual back then.

What's even sadder is that she finally said yes to getting married.

Are you hoping to milk a sexual harrassment lawsuit out of this?
xx
Hoping his spirit continues to run free. Amen. nm

But finally came around
I've decided I didn't like having my son be in "special" classes because I couldn't believe that I would have a child who would not do well in school. Selfish, stuck-up, I know. I "let" him be put in speech therapy, and they put him in a special class for learning how to cut with scissors. Eyes rolling here. Dealt with the same school for 5 years and frankly he wasn't learning squat. This year didn't start off any better so we moved and I put him in a new school. He is doing wonderful! They are actually forcing him to challenge himself and do work. I don't care what they call the classes. They are helping him get to the level he needs to be for him, not for any district statistic. He's a much happier kid now that he isn't stressed about being able to participate in school.
Finally!!!!

which dog finally got from Ute and joe.

I'm finally over that flu and then
the cold after that. Zinc tablets did help the cold; it was only bad about 2 days. Zinc didn't seem to help the flu at all, and by the time I figured out it was probably one of the flu strains it was too late for Tamiflu, but it had progressed to bronchitis so I was put on Keflex as well as an inhaler. The inhaler works, but can cause insomnia and crankiness.

I finally saw it today ...
I was off today. First I watched it when DH left the house to run errands and I was supposed to be showering. Then I watched it again with DH tonight, never telling him I'd already seen it because he'd be disappointed that I already knew what was going on! But I still misunderstood a line between Juliet and Hurley. I thought Hurley said he REMEMBERED Juliet from the dock, when the hoods were put over their heads and they got shocked, and then she said it was her day off, like her day off from working as a doctor, so she joined in the fun of shocking the prisoners! Which I thought was wicked humor. But DH said Hurley said he DIDN'T remember her from the dock. I would have thought she was there, but maybe not.

Anyway, what proof does Juliet have that her sister's cancer actually came back? I don't remember Ben proving that, except with paperwork, which could have been faked. And why were we looking at a heart rhythm strip to see if her brain cancer had returned? Wha? And the way I was reading Juliet when she was with Ben, his manipulation of her actions didn't mean she was back on his side or necessarily going to do all of his bidding, even if it she might appear to be doing what he wanted. After all, she was alone now either way, and seems like she needed to join up with the group for herself. So when she said to Jack she was in it alone already, I think she could have meant from Ben, too. She's just trying to survive and find a way back, and this group wants to get back as bad as she does.

But I'm not addicted to this show or anything ...
yea, yahoo, finally....lol...nm

lol, finally something for us that is the equivalent to
California bleached blondes with big boobs?

Keep looking!

lol
Finally somebody with my problem. (sm)
I alternate between Suave clarifying and Wella Regulate shampoo that is probably only sold at certain salons or on line. It cleans and treats your scalp without damaging your hair. However, I still have problems if I skip a day. My hair guy says perspiration is damaging to hair, and I'd never heard that before, but what every condition I have MUST be shampooed every day, which really sucks at 45 years of age.

Cute cat! I finally got a pic of my other cat who was MIA in the last pic!
Here is our middle boy, Bailey. He was MIA in the last pic, and he is the one who gets into the most trouble, but is also one of the most affectionate ones! I think he may be bipolar LOL!
Finally got rid of one after several months

Had to buy a cage trap online and bait it.  Eventually got lucky and put something in there it was in the mood to eat, and it didn't manage to spring the trap that time.  BF took it for a ride and released it somewhere far away.

Now there's a possum looking to get in....maybe I need to get a dog, my house seems to attract critters.

Yup! I have finally realized it! SM
It's funny because she will always call or instant message my husband or I whenever she needs something! Just a few weeks ago, out of the blue she called and asked if my husband could take her to Home Depot to get some materials because they wouldn't fit in her car and we have a big mini van with a roof rack. I told him not to do it because she is just using us! It's so annoying!

The same thing happened to us when we got our new plasma TV last year! She came over and saw it and said, "Oh I heard those things don't last too long." She always has some sort of rude comment whenever she is jealous! I'm so done with her!

Also, she wanted me to try to get her son's girlfriend a job in transcription. She thought she could do it just because she could "type really fast." I told her that there was no way she would be able to do it if she doesn't have the proper training to learn all of the medical terminology, drug names, etc. Her response was, "Oh, she doesn't need that. She can type as fast as you!" I guess she really is just a jealous, disrespectful person! The sad thing is, she is much older than me! I'm 26 and she is in her 40s! Amazing!
I finally figured out how to add a pic...
I love everyones pics of their pets, so here's my girl Sara sleeping with my son.  She is 7 years old and we rescued her from the pound when she was 5 months.
Maybe not out of the blue. Maybe just finally had
x
I thought they were finally
going out of style?
My boy is FINALLY coming around . . .
The last year or so he has been quite obnoxious and I was thinking what happened to my compassionate young man? Now he is 12-1/2 years old and the smart-alec is disappearing, or at least he doesn't rear his ugly head much these days. It's just so different with boys that I am not sure how to handle it. I could help my daughter, because I knew what she went through, but my boy . . . that's a different story!!! He has been kinder, his voice has dropped, he is breaking out, oh yea, hormones are kicking in. I think boys don't get emotional like girls though, they get mouthy and aggressive. There's your difference. IMO
Well he finally left....sm
He asked when my husband would be home and I said tonight and he left. He is staying somewhere else. He is getting an apartment next week 30 miles away from here he said so I am glad. I hate to say it but I am tired of babysitting. I got to where when he comes and won't leave I just stay in my office.
Finally.............thank you!! Gut instinct!!
