My BP dropped from 134/94 to 108/80 - sm
so I am obviously a bit less stressed out than I was...was wondering if it was stress or hereditary....dad and mom both have/had high BP....obviously it was stress. So that is a step in the right direction health-wise anyway, now to drop 60+ pounds.....
I dropped you a line by the way, and yes -sm
you can email if you'd like. Probably a lot of guys out there like ours.
I did talk to a lawyer too before I dropped - sm
the bomb on my DH as I wanted to know where I stood. I live in a state where they do an equitable disbursement of the marital goods, assets, etc. I would have a 40% stake in the house, entitled to about $100K in his 401K (1/2 of its growth since we married), 1/2 of assets we purchased together. Though a judge would deem what it fair, either way I would walk away debt-free though I would not have a home if we sold everything. He told me in one of his pissy moments that if we lose the house (which there is no danger of) he is moving in with his parents with the kids and I am on my own. What he does not realize that no judge would give him custody (has depression , threatened suicide, etc) and the kids would want to be with me. He has a temper too that gets the better of him too much and he is an alcoholic as well. So if a judge gave him custody I would be totally shocked. I am relatively healthy though overweight by 70 pounds, drink a glass of wine 5 days a week maybe (that is it--he drinks 9-12 beers a day --every day--- though he has cut down to 9 since the 13th for which I am happy for though I'd rather he quit altogether---But good thing to find out where you would stand in a divorce and what you would need to do in terms of custody if push came to shove.
We cut back on driving, and the demand dropped.
Goes to show there is no reason for it to be that high anyway.  If they think they can charge that much and get it, they will.
Oh, I would have dropped everything! Celebrating 15 years of marriage in June!

Yes, I think it's the most mature decision she has ever made. When she dropped out of school, we
suggested the military and she went ballistic, but a see a few signs of maturity and now she really views it as a career choice for her.  She was told if she went into healthcare that she could be tending to the injured etc.but that she wouldn't be on the front lines. Then again, I was also told that recruiters will say anything to get you to sign LOL..
I hadVonage & experienced choppy & dropped calls. They are much like AOL
and if you do cancel you have to pay a hefty cancellation fee.  Never again.
I LOVE mine; my elec bill dropped 50% sm
once I started hanging more than half my laundry out! Good for the environment too. I can't believe the snobbies who are ready to say you can't use one.
and the crime rate dropped 20 years after abortion was legalized

Love the cell phone commercials (cingular?) about dropped calls
They are so funny.
Just shame on you is all I can say
you are upholding the kids whose behavior is out of hand? I do not know why a teacher would want to teach with what they have to work with now days and making excuses for children who intentionally do this is beyond me. Why in the world would anyone take up for such offensive, rude, crude actions from the children. If you have a medical disorder, which I would bet 99% do not have, then different. The ones you take up for are the same ones that cause the most problems for the parents. Boys will be boys? My daughter tried the belching in her younger days so it is not just boys and I, for one, will not put up with an action like this whether it is my child or not. Shameful.
It is a shame that
that known aggressive Pitbulls continue to be bred and thus aggressive ones get into the hands of irresponsible people. You made my point. Even with responsible people accidents happen, their dogs do sometimes get out. If you know your Pitbull is aggressive, having the potential to kill, in my opinion it is irresponsible to keep such a dog as accidents do happen and you cannot possibly guarantee your dog will never be in a position to cause harm or death to someone's pet or child. I know it is a hard decision to make when someone loves their dog, but we did it for the sake of others safety. It is very hard to justify how loving and gentle your dog is with you and your family after the fact. Until people become responsible and weed out ALL aggressive Pitbulls from breeding programs, which will never happen because of attitudes that "my dog will never get out and do anything bad," I agree with the banning of Pitbulls that some cities have instituted.
I think it's a shame s/m
to deprive children of the traditional Santa Claus.   Heck, I still believe in Santa Claus myself.  It is a spirit that lives within the hearts of old and young.  Kids eventually figure out for themselves that Santa is a fantasy.  We took our kids to our church's Christmas Even candlelight service and Santa came while we were at church.  We opened gifts when we came home.  There was no lying involved and their personalities were not warped either.
Well it is a shame, but it sounds like

We've been there and done that once already with "drunken neighbors" who played music really loud when my children were young!  They were nice enough I guess, but just partied all of the time and it got to the point where I couldn't take my kids outside.  This was our old house.  Now we are much happier, but we are not in the country.

Good luck in selling and I think it sounds like you are making the right decision!  Landlords are such a joke!

That's more than a shame, if it's not true.

I think it's a shame when adults
cannot put their differences aside for the 2 major holidays a year.
I agree with you 100% - what a shame
that when it comes to money, families only think of how much they will get. I could care less if I get money or not as it is none of my business and would rather have my mom than her money.

Again, great advice!
It is such a shame that her fame has caused
You hear so often of stars with private gardeners, make-up artists, etc.  Why not a private psychologist/psychiatrist/interventionist.  Such a cute girl and so much more life to live.  It sure does make you wonder if pushing your children into these types of fields is really the right thing to do.  I guess every job has its ups and downs, but I still wouldn't want to see my child have such turmoil when they were seen as "starlets" for so long.  I also think the media makes a big deal out of everything.  I don't think her actions are good choices, but I also think every little move the poor young mother makes is under scrutinization by the public.  You don't often hear about every day people dropping their kids and getting that much publicity.  Just like when Michael Jackson dangled his child over the balcony for example.  I have been around people that throw their children in the air and catch them.  This scares me, but I never see those same people on CNN that night throwing their child in the air and being scrutinized for that action.  JMO.
Oh Eunice. That's really a shame. But I must say as a frequent

sufferer of insomnia myself, also mostly due to pain issues, I would be so eleated to get 5 to 6 hours of continuous sleep.  I can't recall the last time that occurred.  Why not follow your physician's recommendation regarding increasing the Pamelor, and if about 1 month you are still displeased with your sleep pattern, request a trial of another medication.  There are plenty of them out there.  Like I mentioned, trazodone is often prescribed as the initial line of therapy, most likely because it is non-addicting. If your PCP is prescribing the sleep aid, I would mention the problem also to your physician who is treating your fibromyalgia.  He or she may be more up on what helps insomniac patients who have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia.  If you want to discuss this further, feel free to post a message asking for my email address, as I have alot of experience and knowledge regarding sleep aids and could give you the ins and out if you so desire.  Take care.

LOL. What a shame, she looks 20 years older
My husband says she looks just like Dolly Parton - and that was NOT a compliment. LOL
Great answer! and what a shame (sm)
That there are many people like that at churches.  I wonder why?  Maybe they like to prey on nice people and they can find people at churches who will be nice to them despite their behavior. Unfortunately it makes the truly nice people look bad when there are so many of those in the group.
How true. It is such a shame for some of these breeds to all

be put in a category of being dangerous, etc.  Like I stated in my post above in reply to the Pitbull in the Halloween costume some breeders play on some of the traits of the ones they feel will be more aggressive, larger, more muscle, etc.  Then they breed them with another dog they feel has that potential, and so on.  A responsible breeder who is concerned only for the well being of the dog and loves the breed will breed only the ones who do not display aggression or the potential for it.  I once went to the house of a friend whose dad had a Doberman for years.  The dog was there that night, and to be honest I was afraid.  I entered the house cautiously to find that the dog was afraid of ME.  She had a squeaky toy and lay under the chair all night playing with the toy.  She was a thing of beauty.  I will never forget her and I learned new respect and to do some reading and research before coming reaching conclusions.

Just heard she died. Such a shame.
I really hope they catch this guy.
shame on your 2 sisters! Did they talk
your mother into disinherit you or leave you out of her will? If there is nothing in written by your mother against you, you are still a legal heir and can still go to court!
Believe me, God will get them! Shame, shame!
It is a shame, that the truth is misconstrued as

Unless she likes to be homeless.  Or unless one of you want her to move in with YOU.

Would you sit month after month when you are getting no work?  Then come on here and say, oh well, I wonder why I have no money to pay bills and now I wonder why I am getting evicted?

What is wrong with HARD WORK and FINDING A JOB when there is no money coming in?

And evictions don't happen easily.  You can't just come up and evict someone. It takes a bit more than that.  There is sooooo much more to this story for sure.

But you go on with your group hug if you think it will help her. I don't think it will.  I think she needs to look at her life situation clearly and see what went wrong and get moving.

If she needs help she needs to seek it beyond this forum.

Well, he WAS a prophet. Shame on cruel posters.
xx
A shame this place is so catty. But that is freedom of speech for you.
People come here to be supported, but need to realize there are all kinds of opinions out there. When you place yourself on a public forum to be supported expect to be bashed. That is the way of the world unfortunately. Just learn to try to see who wants to help and who wants to hurt. All kinds of agendas here. Your instincts will tell you who is real and who are the trolls. To all who are well-meaning here and look for support,or provide constructive criticism hang in there. Just filter out the bad and take away from it what you will.
Isn't that a shame? But it's not just a recent thing. I've heard of it
//
That's great news. It's a shame that they couldn't prove it and punish him
for that horrible, horrible crime. I'm happy for the family in that they can get long-needed closure. While it will never take away the pain, but it has to give them some comfort in knowing who it was and that he is no longer walking the earth.

That poor sweet boy, may he rest in peace!
New baby on the way.
Congratulations!!!!!! Hope you have a beautiful, healthy baby. I lost my first baby and it was 4 years before I tried again. I also think about the baby I lost, I don't think that ever goes away. I am proud to have two girls now to enjoy. Take pleasure in each moment. Enjoy!
I just want him to baby me
I am a female have been married to my husband for a year and 7 months, (no kids yet) and ever since I have been married I feel like I am babying him. I am more affectionate to him, I always want to cuddle with him, always worried about him and feel like I don't want to lose him. we have a great relationship open and honost. But sometimes I want him to run after me, to show me affection, to take care of me to feel like he is scared to lose me. I want him to tell me that I wanna go out with you with out any friends just the both of us, I just want him to baby me like I baby him. what do I do? trust me I have tried talking to him, but you see I don't want to tell him these things I want him to do it on his own. I go to school 2 times a week in the evenings and I always have to beg him to pick me up from school, I want him to tell me that he wants to pick me up. how do I go about? please help.
The baby's name is
Dannylynn Hope Marshall Stern. I think the move to Bahamas was Stern's idea and I think he is sly like a fox, i.e. the main players mother and son out of the way and now the baby who he is laying claim to with the name of Marshall in there (deceased husband's name). If you are the real father, you would demand to have paternity testing- we all know this is something he has tried (unsuccessfully thank goodness) to stop. The courts supposedly giving DNA results this past Tuesday but nothing yet. It would be a big shocker if the husband who died (Marshall) turned out to be the really father, wouldn't it? Can we say invitro?
My baby Fox isn't doing well.
He hasn't felt well for several days, but it seemed that every time we decided okay, we definitely need to take him to the vet, he would improve a little.

But today my son was getting ready to leave the house and Fox usually runs after him, barking, to try to get him not to leave. Fox started barking, but he couldn't get up. He was on the carpet, not the wood or the tile. He just could not get up.

So I took him to the vet and she examined him. He has arthritis in both his knees because of the surgery he had when he was younger (for patellar luxation). We found out a few months ago that his right shoulder is luxating in the same way that his kneecaps did.

Now his left shoulder is also luxating.

He's such a little stoic it is hard to tell exactly how much pain he is in. The vet gave him a prescription for a fentanyl patch. My husband should be home in a few minutes so he can help me put the patch on. The vet shaved a place on his back for it but she said to hold it in place for 2-3 minutes so that it adheres properly.

The vet said the pain reliever might make him feel so much better that he would be running and jumping around and injuring himself worse. If he feels well, the only way we can keep him from running around is to crate him.

I don't know what to do. I don't want him to hurt. I don't want to shut him up in a crate. He would go nuts - he is used to being very active.

I don't want to keep him alive and miserable for my own selfish reasons - that I can't bear to part with him. But I also don't want to decide too soon that his quality of life is unacceptable.

I don't know what to do.

Baby sm
First of all, congratulations! You are about to experience the greatest gift on earth. I was not heavy but had a friend who was. Mind you, this was way back, as I am older, but I was surprised that she actually went on a very healthy diet which was good for the baby, and actually lost a few pounds. Check with your docs, but perhaps this will be a great incentive for you. Be positive, it will all be good! Best of everything to you and your baby.
Baby's bpm.
Hello. I just had my first real appointment at 12 weeks today and the doctor, i believe, told me the heart rate was 114. I've been trying to do some research on this but the more time i spend on the computer the more worried i'm getting. I've been reading a lot of women saying they lost their babies. The rate was much lower and around 5-6 weeks but i'm still scared. If anybody has info. about this or knows a thing or two i'd really appreciate it until i can call the doctor tomorrow. Thanks so much. =)
My baby
Buster is unfortunately not a puppy anymore. He will be 14 in January. He has some arthritis in his back legs and has what we think are TIAs occasionally, but he still runs and plays like a puppy when he gets a new toy.
Maybe you could rig that baby to
heat the house!
Baby? lol
He looks like a big baby! lol How cute, looks like he poses for pictures often. I would definitely have that one in a frame with that beautiful smile! :)
Sorry about your baby...
Losing a pet is like losing a member of the family.  We lost our beloved 9-year-old black lab 4 years ago, the week of Christmas.  I had to take him to the vet because out of the blue he had an episode, that he just lied there and wouldn't respond.  I thought he was dead then.  He came to and I took him to the vet.  She couldn't find anything wrong with him, took some blood for testing.  He died the next day.  It broke all of our hearts and when I saw my husband cry (I had never seen him cry before in 13 years of being together), it made the hurt that much worse.
Hopefully someone will come up with 8 baby
te
baby

Congrats!!

If your income isnt too much you can always get medicaid and wic (not health insurance but helps out with food and formula)

right age for a baby?

For those of you who are planning to have kids, what is the "right" age to conceive? Of course everybody will have a different right time, but I'm just curious about other people's time lines.

What about Sun-In (to go along with the baby oil)...
and, more importantly, drive-in theaters - my boyfriend and I used to go to the drive-in almost every weekend in the late 70s/early 80s!!  I wish they would bring the drive-in back.
some relief for your baby...
Try hemorrhoid cream to the blisters...I swear it will significantly decrease the itching.  My daughter was around 4 when she got the chicken pox and I put Preparation-H on her blisters and kept it on them and she barely noticed them.  Please try this, it honestly will help!  Good Luck...and BTW, sounds like the doctor isn't the only one that is a jerk!!! ---to your "husband"...
Poor baby!
I hope you can figure out what's going on with her.
A note on my baby
I left a message on the board about how my babies F/L was measured short and the doctor told me the baby probably had down syndrome.  Well, I went to see a specialist who was very upset with the previous doctor and he did a level II ultrasound and my baby is perfect and normal.  They do not measure the F/L for down syndrome.  They measure the humerus bone.  Anyway to make a long story short-----thanks to all who responded !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Oh and the baby has very long legs......
2 is NOT a baby! It's a toddler and IMO too old...
to be breastfeeding! That's disgusting for a child that old and YES I would be offended and grossed out to see a mom breastfeeding a 22 month old! I have absolutely no problem with moms breastfeeding BABIES in public, but not a toddler.
Thanks for that tip on Baby Alive!
I was wondering such!  My daughter's birthday is in two weeks, and guess what she's asking for?  More food and diapers for Baby Alive!  Poor Baby Alive, she hasn't been fed since the day after Christmas!  She'll be so happy when birthday time comes!
Baby Alive
You bet!!! My 5-year-old loves Baby Alive. We are on our second extra package of food (10 pack). The cost of diapers was getting crazy so I gave it a shot. You have to adjust the pretty tightly but $7.00 for 40 diapers is so much better than $4.88 for 6! I am wondering if you can used baking soda and water for food? Good Luck!
My Mom got my Baby Alive from
a yard sale, but I loved her anyway!  I could only play with her in the backyard on the picnic table, or maybe I just chose to do so??? lol  Anyhow, we had great times and I'll never forget her, ever!
