Introvert?

Just read an article about people who email as their standard way of communicating. So, my question is if you feel you are more introverted and cut off from the world doing MT work at home? I personally wanted to get out of the office enviornment because of "attitudes", but now find myself cut off from the world outside. How does one compensate?
